I am Moose. We all know why we're here so lets get down to it I suppose. I'm an adult and ask that you be as well - just creeps me out at my age to write with minors especially given I prefer to have romance in my rps. I can either fade to black or write out intimate scenes - whatever my partner is comfortable with. I usually write multi-paragraph, detailed posts, but I believe quality is more important than word count. I'll happily write shorter responses when the scene calls for it. Communicate - if you don't like something or love something let me know.
I love plotting together, gushing over our characters, and leaving each other little reactions to posts. Half the fun for me is getting excited about the story with my writing partner.
I prefer to play male characters but can play female characters (usually in a FxF pairing).
Onto.....
Plots
What should have been a routine flight ends in disaster when a small passenger plane crashes high in a remote mountain range. Against impossible odds, two strangers survive.
Bruised, grieving, and carrying only what they can salvage from the wreckage, they do what anyone would do at first: wait. The emergency beacon never brings anyone. Days pass. The smoke from the wreck fades into the sky.
No helicopters.
No search planes.
No voices calling their names.
When they finally climb one of the surrounding peaks, hoping to spot a town, a highway, or even a power line, they're met with an endless sea of jagged mountains stretching to every horizon. Snow-capped peaks. Deep valleys. Rivers carving through stone. Nothing that resembles civilization. The realization settles between them with terrifying clarity.
Nobody is coming.
Two park rangers assigned to the same district begin investigating a series of disappearances deep within one of America's largest national parks. Whether the answer is entirely human—or something far stranger—is up to us.
Each spring, the daughters of noble families gather for the Laurel Ceremony, an old tradition where each maiden casts a flowered wreath into the crowd below. Legend says whoever catches it is destined to become her husband. But destiny has a sense of humor. Whether by jealousy, mischief, or simple bad luck, one young woman's wreath lands on the wrong man entirely—a stranger she never intended to choose. With families expecting the match to be honored and whispers spreading through the court, the two are thrust together by tradition. What begins as an accident may become something far greater as they navigate expectations, scandal, and the possibility that fate knew better than either of them. I'm looking for a slow-burn historical romance with plenty of character development, courtly drama, and the kind of love that grows from circumstance into something undeniable.
When a simple newspaper advertisement catches her eye, it offers more than a marriage—it offers a future.
A man preparing to journey west to claim his land seeks a wife willing to build a life beside him. He cannot promise wealth or comfort, only honest intentions, hard work, and the dream of turning untouched land into a thriving ranch.
Married as near strangers, they'll join a wagon train bound for Oregon, facing months of peril across the frontier. Rivers, mountains, illness, and hardship will test not only their resolve, but the fragile bond between two people who barely know one another.
I'm looking for a slow-burn romance where love isn't found at first sight, but built mile by mile, hardship by hardship, until "your dream" quietly becomes "our home."
One idea I'd love is having one of them come from high society and head west to escape an arranged marriage, but I'm very open to other ideas.
A months-long expedition is sent to explore somewhere few people have ever seen—a forgotten archaeological site, an isolated polar station, a newly discovered island, or even another planet. Cut off from civilization, two members of the expedition slowly become one another's closest companion as isolation, danger, and discovery blur the line between partnership and something deeper.
At the kingdom's Beast Academy, students spend years preparing for one defining moment: the Choosing.
In order of their class ranking, each student selects a magical companion—a griffin, wolf, dragon, phoenix, or another mythical beast. But choosing a companion doesn't guarantee a bond. Together, they must hunt dangerous creatures, gathering magical essence to strengthen their companion and earn its trust. Some familiars never accept their chosen partner, and failing to bond is considered a disgrace.
When the academy's top student passes over the strongest and rarest beasts in favor of one no one else wanted, the decision sends shockwaves through the academy. As rivalries grow and a growing threat emerges beyond the academy's walls, two students must learn to trust one another—and the companions who may ultimately decide their fate.
I'm looking for a slow-burn fantasy romance with monster hunts, academy life, political intrigue, and a companion bond built on trust rather than obedience.
