Here to create and worldbuild as I'm losing my mind

Hello everyone. I am not new to the Guild, as I have a profile here already (I had another one, but I forgot the password and the email after switching my computers, but it's been over a year since I used it, so I don't really care) Some of you might recognize me as I'm fairly active here with my OG profile. If you end up figuring out who I am, I'll congratulate you personally for being my stalker. If admins and mods can figure it out, shhh it'll be our little secret :D

Joking aside, I made this profile specifically for one purpose - I am currently working on world-building that this profile is solely dedicated to because I have too many ideas that have nowhere to go and it's driving me crazy. So I sit whenever I have nothing to do and just write my little heart out. The current world I'm building is set in medieval fantasy (original, I know) and I'm going all in on it. Political intrigue, details about their lifestyles, fashion, their dominant religions, relationships with other nations, et cetera. There will be some fantastical additions with dragons, ghost pirate ships and crews, fantastical humanoid races and monsters. It's however low to mid fantasy setting, so things like magic is kept pretty lowkey, while it is still present.

Do I plan to use this for future roleplays? Definitely, but not yet. Being a GM, using simple dice systems and maybe incorporating character sheets as I would love this to be something like DnD when I expand on it more. I'd even welcome people to do 1x1s in these worlds without my presence as a GM. But not only that, as I share my work here that progressively gets bigger, I would absolutely adore the input, ideas or anything else you'd like me to add.

My work is heavily inspired by so many sources: video games, books, movies, shows, history, you name it. Some, as you'll see, are shameless adaptations of my favorite worlds in media and I just added in more of my ideas.

It'll be a slow process, as this requires so much of my time and with the detail I want to put in, who knows how long this will take, but I plan to share, to see people's opinions, as I've mentioned, I'd love to hear what others will bring into this, especially because I want to make this a roleplay one day.

I'll share the stuff I have worked on so far, and I hope that making this profile and sharing my work will be the pressure I need not to let my ADHD win over with useless distractions so I can lock in and continue with creating.

Awesome, I'll update here with a link of where I post the fully written thing and I'll from there on out post everything that I complete after it. But methinks I should first focus as an introduction of the world first and add some general information of the world itself... I'll think about it, since I'm obsessed with keeping things organized 🤔

It might go into advanced, but I wouldn't put pressure into everyone to be like Tolkien or anything as close to that.

I will also allow 1x1s for people in this universe as well, if you'd feel more comfortable with that setting, too. I'd follow the stories from time to time and if anything is interesting happening, I can make it Canon in the universe.

You may want to consider the sort of products they trade in, what laws they have, coinage, etc.

I rather liked how in the Pirates of the Caribbean they had the Code, which was the Law, and if Lysandor is the same?

Will these leave google docs and become the framework of a wiki? I'm considering using portable wikis or sharing sites for my own projects.

Lysandor and Valrenreach might not be connected, as I have more nations that I'm gonna make that are gonna have connections to one another. I'm just going off of where my inspirations take me.

And yes, the mentioned trades and laws, all of that will be included!

Lysandor has the code of masks, basically masks aren't just a symbol of status, but slight adjustments to the masks can be an indirect sign of their ambitions or their state (blue tear gem under the eye symbols mourning, decorative feathers turned to the right to signal that they are looking for associates, etc) Lysandor pirates are something like political chess pieces, bounty hunters and also assassins. I will also make new kinds of pirates in a different part of the world, which are your classic pirates, the outlaws and Raiders.

Valrenreach will also have their own version of viking berserkers that are very few, but extremely dangerous group that you really don't want to fight if you're ever fighting against Valrenreach.

These will leave the Google docs once I finish everything I deem important to fully present the identity of the nation and also include stuff that may be used for roleplays. And then I will share them here on the site.
