Faeya looked up and turned to Zephiel with her hands wrapped in towels, both towels with blood in them. A sheepish blush and grin made her expression look like a deer in the headlights. "Um... n-nothing..." she said and hid her hands behind her back.

Zephiel raised an eyebrow and stared. "Really, now? And I don't suppose those towels would be one of this year's fashion trends, then, would it? He started walking towards her, thinking that he probably knew where that blood had come from now. Reaching out, he took one of her arms and pulled it from behind her back to see what was under the towel.

Megan thought about where they could go. Besides it was getting closer to the night. "Hmmm. We shall go to the forest! I would love too see the trees and all." She smiled now turning around facing him, her face blushing as she smiled. "Besides. It will be fun! And maybe there would he some kind of fireflies out there."

Ruko gave a small smile back. "Okay, then, but we can't be too long, though. I can't imagine what Zeph will do if we don't show up for dinner." He started off toward the trees, finding the nearest path to walk down and being careful to watch the change in the light. He had to admit, the woods looked very nice at this time of day. The sunlight shining through the leaves was more of an orange color and gave everything a sort of glow. It seemed quite peaceful to him. Kind of special, even.

Faeya bit her bottom lip as her blush darkened. Under the towel were many cuts, some small and some deep, and she glanced up at Zephiel only to look back at her hands. "Well, you know how us girls are! We make up extremely stupid trends to compete against eachother socially." She smiled sheepishly as the towels unravelled her hands.

"That they do, though honestly a lot of men are just as bad, especially in the upper class. If I ever end up in a powdered wig, I hope someone beheads me," Zephiel mumbled. When the towels came off, he was a bit surprised at how many cuts there were. "Ay! I can only imagine what you've done to the roses." He wrapped them back up and pushed her out of the kitchen by her shoulders, leading her to a nearby washroom. He ran some cold water in the sink and removed the towels once more, placing them under the cold stream of water.

She whimpered softly as the water hit her hands. She didn't even realize she was making that noise until she opened her mouth and said "it's okay. I'm good." A blush rose to her cheeks. "Sorry, I'm not really used to people taking care of my wounds" she said softly. She glanced up at him and then looked back at her hands.

Despite his best efforts to ignore it, that whimper had worried him a bit. Had he been too rough?
"Well, it's not like I'm going to be doing this a lot. I just... I can't have you leaving blood all over the floors. I already have Axle's antics and Ruko's kitchen problems to deal with." He looked away from her, feeling embarrassed all of a sudden. "We'll have to get you some gloves or something. You could have just asked for some, you know." He turned off the water and gently began patting her hands dry and taking out some bandages.

Faeya shrugged. "I don't really like wearing gloves. They're always too big for my hands." She looked back up at him and smiled sheepishly. "Thanks for this, by the way. I owe you one." She then looked back at her hands as he worked on them.

"Whatever. Just be more careful, will you?" Zephiel finished wrapping up her hands about a minute later, trying to be careful to put enough pressure on them without cutting off the circulation. Finally deciding that they looked good enough, he started putting away the rest of the bandages. "Geez...You've only been here a few hours and you're already causing problems. How exactly did you plan to survive living with monsters?"

She glared at him. "I'm not one to back down when I could just do it myself." She crossed her arms and looked at him with a feirce and stubborn position. She then realized he said something about monsters and her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Monsters?"

Zephiel finished putting the bandages away and looked back at her with a raised eyebrow. "You didn't know?" He sighed and turned to leave the washroom. "Then what exactly are you doing here?"

Faeya bit her bottom lip slightly. She looked up at him and finally opened her mouth to say "let's put it this way, my dad didn't care for me very much so he thought this was a bit better than military school." She followed him out of the washroom, but stopped in the hall. "But I don't really like to talk about it with strangers, so we'll have to get to it." Faeya smiled slightly at him. "Only as a thanks for taking care of my hands, though."

Stopping in the hall just ahead, the red-head's eyes widened a bit before his face hardened. "That's cruel...that's just cruel..." He muttered under his breath. Sending her to be potentially eaten by feared "monsters" without her even knowing what's happening? What kind of parent is that awful? Clenching his fists, he took a deep breath and let his facial features relax before he continued down the hall. "You shouldn't thank me, you know. I was just protecting the floors. Dinner will be done soon, please be at the dining room when it is called."

As he kept walking, though, he continued thinking about what she had said. She doesn't even know the rumors? What will happen to her when she sees? What kind of life did she have for her father to hate her that much? The whole thing bothered him, and he found himself less willing to let her ever see the truth now.

Faeya stayed in the hallway for a little while and thought about her father. How he looked a little too relieved to get rid of her. How he didn't even say goodbye when she left. She was happy to get out as early as she did, though. She walked out to the living room and just sat down on the couch, relaxing her legs from the days' stress.
