Hi, I'm Freeshooter92 (Or Aaron, I guess), and I'm a chill dude. Or something. I'm not good with introductions.
Anyhow, I've fallen victim to applying for 1x1s by people who say things such as 'don't drop off the face of the earth with no warning!' and then proceed to do just that. So, I'm looking for a partner that will actually be my partner instead of wandering off two days after we meet.
Anyway, 'what does he want to play?' which you might ask if you are a considerably considerate person. Well, I want something romantic, but also... actiony. Y'see, flat settings like historical ones bore me. As does political nonsense. While I understand the appeal to others, I don't enjoy those. Basically, I do enjoy a wide variety of things, but the ones I hate, I REALLY hate. So, let's go over the short list of things I won't do, because it's quicker than listing things I like to do.
Steampunk/victorian anything (Dieselpunk is enjoyed and encouraged however!)
Evil protagonists (I have a hard time with pulling it off, I'm a softie)
Modern day stuff, for the most part (unless you have a really cool idea)
Historical settings (Realistic historical settings, anyway)
Anthro-Anything (It's not for me. I used to hate these things with burning passion, but now I just don't care)
"Canon" (Exceptions exist, but I will never ever roleplay a pre-existing character. Or with one. Exceptions are Canon environments that are essentially big settings, like Warhammer 40k or Fallout. Things like Kingdom Hearts are a no. Again, not judging, I just don't personally enjoy it)
Same-sex pairings. (Not prejudice, but I can't write it. I've tried)
If it's not one of those, I am probably okay with it. Now, onto requirements.
1. I talk. A lot. If this bothers you, just tell me to shut up. I understand.
2. I require some proof that you are still alive. All I ask is a post every couple days, or just a visit OOC to say hi. I can be very patient when I need to be.
3. Please, for the love of god if you don't want to RP with me or can't or lose interest or whatever, just tell me. I won't get mad or anything, you won't hurt my feelings, I'll understand. What makes me mad is when people just disappear and never talk to me again.
4. A paragraph minimum for posts, pwease.
4.5. If you apply, tell me what color mars is.
5. Don't worry too much about grammar, but please try to be good about it.
6. Have some creativity, feel free to come up with crazy stuff, it gives a setting flavor. Help me build the world we're gonna be playing in.
And finally, a few points.
1. I am willing to write more 'mature' things, but that does not mean I am seeking it. That is your decision.
2. I mostly play males, but can play a female if I have to. Actually, disregard that. I'm very accommodating.
3. Don't be too serious, loosen up! I like a little silliness every so often. Too many RPs these days are all grim and depressing. While conflict and sad bits and scary bits are par for the course, a joke now and again never killed anyone!
4. That means you too, I like to be silly, I like to joke around, and more importantly, I wanna be your friend. I just get all depressed when it's all 'business'.
And finally (I mean it this time), a few generic couplings, left one is the one I would prefer to play. If it's marked with two *'s, I have no preference.
Fantasy:
Knight/noble
Human/supernatural entity (Demon, ghost, Djinn, etc.)
Paladin/reformed criminal of some sort.
*Wizard/apprentice*
Merchant/bodyguard
*Mortal/deity* (Interesting one. Also, it's important that said deity is not anything from 'our world' While a 'zeus diddles all the things' story would be hilarious (And authentic) it's not what I'm looking for)
*Paladin/Paladin* ('yo dawg...') (Story Idea: Childhood friends, trained together. Male is too stupid to realize affections from female)
Sci-fi
Mercenary/Corporate overlord
*Scientist/Super soldier*
Human/Alien
Human/A.I of some description
Tourist/Security guard (This one entails a sort of 'vacation' ship that crashes on an undeveloped world)
Cyborg/technician
Soldier/Medic
