The Premise
It's been 200 years since the kingdoms of Ransei were united. With the hero who united them dead and long forgotten, and the theater of Ransei greatly divided, the tension of all out war was bearing down on the regions inhabitants. Now, rumors of a powerful warlord whose intentions are nothing but malicious have begun to spread. You, a young warlord of a small but prosperous kingdom, must take up the mantle of Lord of your kingdom. Will you head the rumors threat, and bolster your army and its pokemon in preparation for war? Will you take this rumor as inspiration, and start conquering other kingdoms for yourself? Or will you try to ally yourself with other kingdoms, and calm the ravenous tidal waves of war?

Hey guys! Kingleo here, and welcome to my first nation RP!
I've had this idea of a pokemon nation RP in my head for about a month now, as I've been playing Pokemon Conquest. I figured it'd be fun to run with the setting, and get some cool feudal japan style nations going.

You as a player would control a Warlord, a powerful hero in control over a small kingdom. If you've played PC, then you know there are 17 kingdoms, each assigned a type. In the games each kingdom took up quite a large chunk of Ransei, but I was thinking of scaling down the kingdoms a bit, having smaller, more numerous kingdoms not assigned to any one type. This would give you more to think about, with more kingdoms to fight on all sides, while giving me the ability to develop some strong NCP kingdoms as well.

Unlike in the game, the "Winning Condition" will be a lot more free form. "Conquering" Ransei can be done in a number of different ways; Becoming the strongest, most influential economic force, joining together a coalition of kingdoms to form a powerful council, becoming the technological powerhouse of the region, becoming one with nature and blurring the line between human and pokemon. Of course, the straightforward conquering route isn't off the table.

On the topic of winning, there's a few ways I was figuring we could play this out: I have been developing some rules for combat, which would incorporate resources, units, money and the lot. Using these rules would make things a lot more restrictive, but a lot more fair when it comes to things like combat, trade, and technological development. Or we could make it a lot more free form, and we would use common sense to determine the outcomes of these things. Of course it is a spectrum, so we could use any variety of rules, while leaving other areas more open. It'll be ultimately up to the people interested in playing.

Anyway, i've rambled enough. It's a nation RP set in the feudal japan based in the Pokemon world. Post your interest and with any questions you have for me!
