[IC] The Family That Slays Together

The air was heavy this night and the atmosphere was just as tense to the point that even the sound of chirping crickets was absent. The telltale sign of hostile supernatural was running amok in the area. Samuel parked his car at the front of the city park where their target was now loose. He moved to the trunk and removed his Mossberg and his sword so he could start off the hunt before his siblings got there.

The supernatural that was their target lumbered throughout the park looking for prey. It wasa giant beast that seemed to be made from roots and vines with a very unhappy look on its face. Samuel grinned and took aim with his shotgun. "A spriggan, eh? " He pulled the trigger and the shot hit it square in the back, staggering it and turning its attention to him. "Come and get it!"

Nathan drove on his motorcycle through a highway. He went to pick up Kiara, and take her to the fight. he saw her and stopped. "Hop on!" he shouted as he drove up to her.

"Finally!" Kiara sighed melodramatically, shouldering her book bag as she climbed onto the back of Nathan's bike. She hugged his waist, too short to be able to see over his shoulder, but ready to go nonetheless.

Rayne removed himself from his motorcycle, his coat waved in the slight breeze, as he held Carnwennan at his side. Rayne spotted Samuel shooting at the beast a short distance away from him. Rayne flicked his wrist, Carnwennan headed this, and a cloud of darkness surrounded him, making him invisible to the creature, and went towards it, cautiously and quietly, before aiming his blade to cut straight through the creatures left arm, enacting this motion, and jumping back, away from the spriggan, before it could respond to the hit.

Samuel was really starting to gate his choice in wording, The spriggan was a lot faster than it looked and it managed to dodge nearly every shot he fired and just trying to escape the mad creatures grasp was a challenge..The tough bark it had for skin was basically the same as shooting at tree, meant he was going to have to resort to a different method. He reached for his sword when he saw Rayne sneak up on it and laughed spriggan screamed in pain holding its arm and started thrashing around. "What took you so long?"

Avery sat silently in a tree adjacent to the monster. She waited impatiently for the right moment... Using her quick reflexes to her advantage, she grabbed a shuriken and flung it at the beast. It glided thought the air and planted itself in the monster's head. Black blood trickled from the deep cut and the monster shrieked, turned around and lunged for Avery. She lifted her gun and shot, not causing as much damage as she would have hoped. However, it stumbled back, giving them more time. She leaped out of the tree, landing with a thud.

Rayne pulled out his second dagger, and ran at the beast, which was not focused on the invisible teen running at him with 2 invisible knives. He jumped onto the back of the creature, making sure his timing would prevent someone from throwing something at him, or shooting him, and cut the beasts other arm off with Carnwennan.
He stuck his other dagger in the creatures neck, and pushed himself off the beast, watching as it began to flail in what were its final moments.

The Spriggan was flailing about, unable to do anything without its arms. It kept screeching, even when it fell to the ground from a lack of balance.

Anita cursed her luck. She was so focused on her newest drawing she was not aware the rest of the family was going to slay the Spriggen. Having ran on foot towards the site she saw the creature was armless and bleeding as well as screeching.She unholsted her desert eagles and walking over to the monster put two shots into its head hoping it would be put down.

Matilda rode to the scene, she had the information set, so as she arrived she breathed a sigh of relief. Seeing the creature she shook her head, it seemed as if the others had already taken care of it. But with a shrug she dismounted her bike, pulled her bow off her shoulder, and with a blink a flaming arrow appeared, notched and ready to fly. She pulled back the string carefully, taking precise aim at the beast's chest and letting it fly.

The arrow soared through the air, a mixture of white and blue heading straight for the screaming monster. As it reached Matilda smiled, watching it plant itself inside of the beast and lighting up the center of it's chest. She ran towards the others with a giggle, looking back at the creature as t roared every few seconds.

Rayne looked at the spriggan.

" A bit overkill, don't you think?" He waited till the beast was no longer burning, and pulled the dagger out of its neck, not worrying, as it was obviously dead. Rayne took a rag out of his pocket, and wiped his blades clean.

Kor

~I'm so late.~. Kor thought in his head driving his escalade down the highway. He got a text from his brother Sam about a spriggan attack. ~They probably already killed it.~ He had to get gas, escalade gas is very expensive but it's worth it, to see everyone look at him going down the highway. He see's his siblings down the road. He literally jumps out his car making a scene like always. "So what did I miss." Kor started to laugh.

Nathan drove off like a madman, getting to the scene in no less than 5 minutes. he saw the dead spriggan and sighed. "Sorry we're late, but I see you already killed it, but maybe I can still harvest it for a familear..." he hopped off his bike and walked towards the creature. He tapped the corpse, and the staff glowed a purple light, and the spriggan was englufed in purple light. The light flickered, adn when Nathan tried to summon it, nothing came out. "I think my staff ate the corpse."

Matilda laughed, looking over the others and nodding. She stared at Rayne for a moment or two and then smiled in agreement. "Yes! It was overkill eh? I think I did very good, you guys did too!" She exclaimed in a light African tone.

She then turned to Kor and brightened, running up to him and hugging him tightly. "Oh Kor you missed so much! I burned the Spriggan like it was tinder!" Jumping back she cleared her throat, face now a light shade of pink. "But the others...the others did very good as well...the chopped off it's arm."

" I chopped off its arms, thank you very much." Rayne said. He made sure his weapons were placed neatly under his coat, and then looked around. "If we are done here, I think i'm going to go home, maybe get some food on the way, if anyone wants to come." Rayne pulled the key for his motorcycle out of his pocket.
Rayne quickly remembered to make a witty retort to Nathan's statement. "I think your staff is into necrophilia."

Kiara hopped off the bike, sighing in frustration. "I'm always too late," she complained, kicking at the dirt. She crossed her arms and tilted her head, looking between her adopted siblings and the spriggon. Frowning a bit, she looked to Matilda as she announced her kill pretty gleefully. She just rolled her brown-green eyes and looked around, pouting a bit. It wasn't uncommon for her to feel left behind. "Well now what?" she asked, looking to the elder slayers-in-training and trying to ignore their jests at one another.

Samuel prodded the burnt spriggan carcass with his sword before addressing Kiara. "Now we decide who wants to play clean up duty today and as the first guy on sight I think I paid my dues." He laughed before grabbing his shotgun off the ground. "Stop the pouting Kiara, i'm sure you'll get the next one."

Kor

He hugged Matilda back he loved how hyper and excited she was that's how he acts when he gets into action. "Nice one Tilly, maybe next time I'll be on time and see you kill that Green gas trash." Kor starts to smile, then he turns to Nathan. "Maybe your staff had a bad reaction to the spriggan." He starts to laugh, Nathan was always the one Kor picked on the most. "Hey Ki how about you, Tilly, Sam, Ray, even Nat, and me go kill a couple of those Digonaas down near the swamp. There not that strong and I'm looking for a kill and it would be easy to say... kill at least 50 by the end of tonight. Then we could just go back to my house and relax."

Kiara blinked and uncrossed her arms to put her hands on her hips instead. "I'm not pouting," she snapped defensively. She huffed in irritation and her eyes slid over to Koryie as he started speaking. Well that sounded better than clean-up duty... "I guess that'd be fun," she agreed hesitantly, her arms relaxing at her side.

Kor

Kor starts to perk up, then he hears what Sam said. "Really bro, we can get a clean up crew in the morning lets go kill some swamp beasts, that would be way more fun." Kor looks at the rest of the group. "That's too for swamp beasts and one for cleaning." Kor smiles at Matilda. "What do you think Tilly, go have fun killing over ridden digonaas or clean up tree murder?"

"Should I stay back and clean this up? I'm positive there is an arrow to make it easy..." Matilda squinted and held her chin in her hand, but when she heard Kiara she busted out laughing. "Right! You always pout Ki!"

Regaining herself Matilda smiled, going back to thinking with an exasperated sigh. "Nope! Nothing! I think we should head to the swamp now! Race you!" She started running towards her bike with a determined face.
