This Rpg, Future now! is a virtual reality game designed for the newest gaming medium, The SpiritPilot (or The SP). The SpiritPilot links the consciousness of the user to the body of the avatar. It will then transfer the users actions onto the avatar. The SpiritPilot connects via wires to a personal computer. The SP then proceeds to use the energy of the computer to power the game. The SP itself is a helmet that when placed upon the head connects to the users brain to copy what they are doing. It comes in three colors, black, red, and white and two designs. The SP Dream, which is a lighter version of the SP which looks more like a headband, and the SP Original. The Sp Original is a larger helmet which goes completely around the face and comes with a special pillow that allows the user to lay down easier while using the SP. The pillow itself is hard but has a perfect indent for the SP Original and the users head.
Future now! is set in a distant future where the vehicles are all flying, and only half are driven manually. Androids, cyborgs, and full robots walk the streets beside humans, half-humans, and robotic animals, as well as some odd hybrids that don't seem to work, but they do work. The city itself is mainly built out of black cybernetic material, which also makes the buildings. The material itself is completely customizable by it's owner. This allows for windows, neon windows, one way windows, decoration, and interior design. The material mainly is black, yet most of the skyscrapers are mixed between black and neon colors.
There are two groups in the city of Lumin, the groups being Blackout and the Peacekeepers.
Blackout is a group of anarchists who use dirty tricks, vandalism, thievery, and various criminal activity in order to achieve their main goal, taking out the power in Lumin.
The Peacekeepers are now devoted almost solely in tracking down and incarcerating the Blackout gang.
The blackout gang is headed by their leader, Eclipse. Eclipse acts as an NPC who gives the players missions and objectives. However, the majority of the time the Blackout Gang will be free to cause mayhem how they please. The blackout Gang uses more hacking to take over parts of the city than the Peacekeepers do. However, they still like the old stuff, like mugging and vandalism.
The Peacekeepers are the police force of Lumin. They are devoted to taking out the Blackout Gang and their mysterious leader. There are many divisions of the Peacekeepers such as the R.A.D. (Robotic Animal Division), the B.I. (Blackout Investigators), as well as some made by the Roleplayers (PM me or WeepingLiberty first.)
Guns are prohibited in Lumin and not found in the game world. Therefore the weapons have reverted to the future stone age. Plasma Swords, Laser Clubs, Energy Shields, Energy Spears, "Lightning Bolts" (Laser Javelin), Energy bows (Which shoot Energy Arrows.) and possible user created weapons. (PM me or WeepingLiberty first.) All weapons that are throwable/shootable disperse after hitting their target and return to the user via a hacked item called the Shadow Gauntlet (if you're a blackout) or the Pièce de résistance (For the Peacekeepers.)
