Family orientated fun!

Normally, I do not do character sheets or pictures of my characters, but this is a special case: James Rossmund

Part of my childhood involved watching 'The Irish RM', and the image of the actor who played Flurry Knox (Brian Murray) kept leaping into my head as I was writing.

Oh, that's alright. If that was your inspiration, then I would say that this character is rather special to you. I would find a picture that approximates my character as well, but I can't. I am actually partially blind I am doing everything through a dictation program, well, Siri. That is partially why it took me so long to find this part of the thread I imagine. But thank you for letting me know where your inspiration came from.

ugh. I do apologize of the delay. I will sum it up by saying that I am deathly tired of shoveling snow!

Oh dear, No worries. It sounds like you have had a lot of work to do. Are you out east where there seems to be a bunch of snow being dumped? IAM in Utah. We had just enough snow that we could call Christmas white, But it has been melting ever since. We have a lot of grass showing through instead of being covered by snow, which rather bums me out. Hey, idea! Tell your snow to come over here! Ha ha.

Have you lost interest? It's alright if you have, I know sometimes things just do not work out. But I would like to know if possible.

I'm so sorry! No, I haven't lost interest. Not at all. Things just got unexpectedly busy around here. Family in town. I'm planning on getting a reply up today. Again, sorry it took so long.

It's alright. Usually I don't start to wonder if I don't hear back within a week. About a third of the writing partners who responded to my latest interest check have dropped off the face of the earth without a word, and I was beginning to fear you were one of them!

Oh, I would never do something like that! That's awful. I would definitely one you in advance if I was losing interest. But I love the role-play so much even now that I couldn't even dream of dropping it. But I can definitely warn you in the future as soon as possible when things start to get busy.

And I absolutely loved your latest post! I can't even begin to express how much I enjoyed it. :D

Thank you! I wanted to make James something more than some silly, arrogant noble. Giving him enough of a sense of humor to laugh at himself seemed a good place to start.

Most definitely! It made me laugh out loud reading it. And sorry for the delay, the draft I was writing got all messed up so I've had to go back through and fix everything. I should have my reply up today though.

Edit: Finally! That was slightly a mess, but hopefully I got it all cleaned up and you can enjoy! It was so much fun to work on!

Wow! That is amazing what a wonderful hobby. How did you ever get started doing such a thing? It must be beautiful work!

My parents were cruel and unusual, instilling in me a love for both reading and history at an early age. My father and my uncle are both woodcarvers and woodworkers, my father having been trained by his uncle. At least one of my great-grandfathers was also a woodworker. I developed a love of games from my brother. Making historical board games out of scrap wood and step-down golf tees allowed me to combine several passions into one.

Oh, Ha ha! I don't know if I would call it cruel to promote reading with children. I think it is a wonderful habit to develop. ;)

But it does sound like it produced quite the interesting results with the combination of influences you received as a child. I think it is a fabulous craft that you have there. You do quite beautiful work.

And my apologies on the lateness of my response. I haven't been sleeping well and that does not produce the greatest mental capacity for storytelling.
