Its the love stuff, and how important Amano seems to view Illiendi. Love is alien to him and he's never been important to anyone...well aside Lucifer but even then he's little more than a general in an army who could be replaced if he ever fucked up. Needless to say they don't send Christmas cards or have fondue nights lol.

This is going to be a mix of adorable, and horrifying I think. Amano both frightened of and seeking the approval of Illiendi, Illiendi trying to figure things out he's never considered before while trying to maintain the position he's always known and understood, all mixed in with the random shenanigans of the passing characters and lands they visit :P Toss in a bit of the war between the angels and demons that is inevitably going to spill through here and there on to their journey, forcing the poor human to deal with things no mortal should ever have to, while also knowing that one day his soul will leave for a place that is a thousand times worse. . . .I feel sorry for both our guys :P

I have a story behind the flowers. They were born the last time a demon was summoned in the area. If you recall, in the history I made for the town that happened around it's founding. It's something that demon left behind. They look something like this except as I described the stem and colors in my post, and of course the top bell flopping in the other direction and twice as big :P You can add anything else you want to the story, I just, yeah. . . .They were sprouted because of the last demon summoning. I don't think the demon itself made them sprout, more like the earth reacting to it's presence :P

The flowers basically were 'heaven sent' in the old days, probably still are somewhere, where an angel basically trod on holy ground they'd spring up.
As a 'fuck you you bastards' to the demons though, god decided to have the earth react to the demons summoning (which takes a lot of magic and energy anyway) by sprouting these bastardised versions of the flower as a subtle reminder they let him down/failed/ ain't going home any time soon. I'm thinking they may also be mildly poisonous where as the originals were good to boost physical health and help cure illness which is considered an old legend rather than fact now.

Hehe I love the flowers and don't worry its hard to offend Illiendi. Unless Amano says 'your a shit demon' but even then he'll just shrug it off. Of course now he's all up in Amano's grill in a different way. Hopefully a sexy but intimidating way.
