plot

Two average teenagers have been receiving strange emails, making demands to go visit an abandoned house in the middle of the nearby forest near town. At first, they ignored them as some sort of prank from friends or just stupid spam chain mail, putting a spam filter on them. Out of curiosity they both view the latest sent messages. In pure shock they found the Emails started to slowly get threatening, revealing personal details about them nobody else knew about. Reluctantly, while there parents were out for the weekend, they went out into the forest and ran into each other. After joining up, they entered inside. The building was empty, and there was nothing left but the basement. Inside, it was dark but when the light was turned on, the room was surprisingly filled with things, and of note was that someone was still paying for the houses electricity. Exact model TV sets, plugged up to a DVD Player and newer video consoles, as well as a computer. There was a single wooden table and two wooden chairs. On the table was a remote for the DVD Player, and a locked brief case with a key next to it. Inside it was a single DVD, two wireless headsets and some sort of unknown device with a radar screen on it, possibly a tracker that didn't seem to work at all, and a list. The DVD, when put in had random footage with a distorted voice playing over it. The voice explained it wanted to play a game, named the "Hopper's Game". It explained the TV's had magical powers, and whatever media was playing back on the TV, you could enter it through the TV. As revealed by the voice, there was tons of games and DVD's in a closet. In each one of those, was a hidden blue gem shard, Flat on the bottom and extremely pointy on the top. They were to collect these gem shards hidden through each media, and when done wait for instructions. They were to use the provided tracker and follow the list provided, the headsets could connect them so they could talk with each other. Dumbfounded and almost in disbelief, they slowly started to grasp the reality of the situation. The last line wrote, "if you refuse or tell anyone, your family and everyone you love will die." thus, the journey began.

The town this takes place in is called "Deadwood" and the town sits in the middle of nowhere somewhere in America. It's a foggy town, and was named Deadwood for the rate at which the trees in the nearby forest directly to the south died, instantly making it a creepy place. I made it up so we'd have no problem putting whatever we want in this. It has a "mysterious" aspect to it because of the many legends that surround the town, the abandoned house being a popular modern urban myth. The RP starts immediately with the events in the plot having already happened, the two main protaganists now getting started in the "game".

I'll get my CS up tomorrow, Father's Day got me all tired. xD On an interesting sidenote, for some reason this whole plot so far sounds somewhat like the plot for Corpse Party.

I haven't played Corpse Party, but from what I've watched and seen it seems pretty dark. Maybe I'll play it.

Name: Hana Everbloom

Personality: She is very optimistic and logical when it comes to her usual self, always trying to stay with the positive side on what she does. This is supported by how she is outgoing, humorous, and reserved. Hana is very trusting, giving her trust to others easily and being able to be trusted by others due to how positive she could be. Though, in the inside, she is full of regret after a very painful family event.
Background: Everything was perfect. Hana had everything she would had seen as blessed in her early life: a supporting family, a desire to pursue a career in art, having many friends, and being the outgoing student in high school. From there, it was all perfect, and Hana didn't go spoiled from it. However, sadly, her father was diagnosed with a brain tumor when she was 13, and he passed away from that. Her mother did not have much to support the family, thus having to have two jobs as Hana, the oldest child, was not ready yet for a job. One year later, her mother remarried with another man, who at first seemed like he would be a great addition to the family, but then turned out to be an abusive man to her mother, Hana, and her two younger siblings. Unable to force the man out of their family, Hana was starting to see the negative side of life, but when she would meet up with her friends or anyone outside the family, she would always pretend to be positive.

Personality: David is a sarcastic, snarky smart-ass that often doesn't respond well to authority. He is rebellious most of the time, believing he has life all figured out as well as any and all authority figures, including his parents. In reality, he acts sarcastic to hide behind his own insecurities, his rebellious nature comes from the fact that he's actually afraid of the unknown, as well as knowing that he won't be young forever. When it comes to friendship, David is actually awkward and shy in making new friends or introducing himself, his friends he had all grown up with, but anyone that's been his friend no matter what happens, has his loyalty and trust, and he will do anything for them.
Background: David lived in Deadwood for as long as he could remember, his parents having moved in when they had him 16 years ago. Growing up, David had read a lot, watched a lot of TV and played a LOT of Video Games, and that was just when he was young. His mother was pretty strict and David had always rebelled against her wishes, his father had always been more laid back. It was in his teenage years that he had developed his sarcastic and snarky attitude, his rebellious nature had never left him, just his view on WHY to rebel against his mother. David's house was always in a state of tension due to his disobedience to his mother, going to the point that he had been kicked out of the house sometimes. He didn't hate his mother, he'd just wish she wasn't so strict for what he understood was for silly reasons. But, he'd always hang around his friends when kicked out of the house, and thus knew the neighborhood pretty well.
