[IC] Orphanage for Supernatural Kids

The benefactor rarely got involved with the orphanage. Not because he didn't care about the children there but because he did. He felt it was better for them if he remained a mystery to them. But sometimes he hear about a special case that required him to get involved. That was the case with the young blind girl that sat next to him. He didn't know how she had survived the streets as long as she had with her disability but he was glad that she had. When she froze a man that attacked her, the police called him to take care of her. He was glad that it was one of his graduates that had found her and not one of the other cops. When they arrived at the orphanage he escorted her to the door. He rang the bell and told her. "The housekeeper will take care of you.

Chip Coins picked up his bags and stepped out of the Taxi. He looked up to the building infront of him, this was going to be his new home until he was the legal age to have his own home and job. He summoned his penny and spun it in the air in front of him. He opened the door and walked in, and found a counselor. "Excuse me, where do I go from here?" he asked, and she told him that he had to go down the hall towards the lunch room, where they would be serving breakfast, so he thanked her and walked in the lunch room. He walked over to a table and sat at it.

Edwin and Cenhelm walked downstairs. They had just gotten here yesterday, so none of them knew anybody. When they got down, there was no one there. They both sat down, and a minutes later, someone walked in. "Hello" Edwin said to him.

Chip was sitting at the table, when he heard a kid he had not seen say something to him. "Hmm? Oh, hello." he said when he realized what he had said. "I'm Chip Coins. Who might you be?" he asked.

The ride there

There was an awkward silence. Florica was in the car with her dad, a person he didn't normally hang around with, as they had a bad relationship.

She sighed, and had decided to start a conversation. "Sooo....hi?" She said to her father, hoping to start something and get some interesting answers.

At firs, complete silence. Then, a reluctant "Hello."

"Why are you driving me here, anyways?"

"Your....powers might cause trouble."

"Why? Do they have to be like that? Why would they cause trouble? Maybe take me to a different place where I can learn to control them, and you can go somewhere where you can learn parenting skills, instead of pretty much disowning me. I know that you won't have anything to do with me after I'm there for about 5 days."

A soft sigh came from his father.

Hey, at least the ride was short. A bit uncomfortable, but not too much arguing. That was a plus. One among the many minuses

Florica had gotten up just about 30 minutes ago. She got here yesterday, and she was actually excited. A bunch of kids, born different, like her. The idea was probably unheard of by other, regular humans. The ones that actually got to live fairly normal lives. Most normal humans might think of people like her lucky, like having special powers has no consequences. They don't really know how miserable it can be for some people. She was sure that there were some people that were appreciated for their powers in this world. She wished that it truly was like that for her.

But onto the present. Naturally, getting up about 30 minutes ago, she had rushed to get dressed. She had looked severely scruffy in the simple black t-shirt and pants that she had put on. She temporarily put her hair in a ponytail, and headed downstairs.

As she got down there, she already saw about 3 people at the table. She walked up to the table, and then said, "Hi."

The housekeeper guided a red headed girl into the dinning room. She helped the girl to the table. "Good morning children. I would like you to take a moment to introduce yourselves to our new arrival. I will serve breakfast shortly."

Dylan nearly tripped as he walked down the stairs, causing the glass of water he was carrying to fall and shatter at the bottom with a crash.

He look up at the housekeeper apologetically. "Sorries..."

"Hello, everybody who I have not met thus far. I am Chip Coins." he introduced himself to the other people.

Kyo was pretty happy this morning; for once, he hadn't been held up by another trance while getting ready or the day. He smiled softly to himself for a moment as he walked down the stairs, wondering if this might be a good sign that he really was improving. He stuck his hand into his pocket for a moment to make sure he had remembered to pick up a pencil and some paper on the way out of his room. He really wanted to try communicating today.

Upon reaching the bottom of the stairs, the boy noticed that there was some shattered glass in a puddle of water there. Despite the fact that he had noticed this, the other boy standing there hadn't quite gotten his attention the same way. Perhaps the dark hair surrounding his face had caused a blind spot, because he started picking up the shards of glass without even realizing the presence of another person.

"It's alright Dylan." The housekeeper assured him. She saw Kido picking up the glass. "Help Kido clean up so that no one gets hurt.

Kyo looked up when he heard the housekeeper speak to someone else. As he turned to see the other boy, he jumped a bit, surprised to see him close by. Wondering how he had missed him before, Kyo turned back to the glass, continuing to pick up the shards slowly so as not to cut himself.

Dylan nodded. "Alright, I will." But he didn't seem sure about how to pick up the glass without cutting himself, and moved slowly.

Allen hid partially behind his brother as they carefully approached the door to the orphanage. They had heard of this was a sanctuary for their kind and they had come, hopeful they could find a place they could belong. Alec turned to give his twin a reassuring grin as he knocked on the door then waited with baited breath.

The housekeeper hurried to the door. She needed to serve breakfast soon or they would be behind schedule. She opened the door to see to young boys standing there. "Can I help you?"

Kyo stood with his shards of glass and walked to the kitchen to dispose of them in the proper bin before turning back to the dining room and sitting down in an open chair at the table. A few other people were already there, it seemed, and the girl over there was definitely new. He stared curiously at her for a moment before facing down toward the table and spacing out for a little while.

Allen shrunk further behind Alec as the bolder twin grinned up at the women. "We heard this was a place for people like us. so.." He shared a look with Allen before they both looked up at her. "Can we live here?" They asked together, looking so identical that only their personalities would give a person a hint on which twin was which.

"People like you?" The housekeeper asked. "This is a very unique orphanage. Are unique enough to qualify?"

Alec grinned and reached into his pocket and pulled out a silver ball. He stared intensely at the metal ball and it slowly began to bend and twist until a metal rose remained. He nodded in satisfaction and he held it up to the women with a smile.

P-Please. W-We don't have a-anywhere e-else to go. Allen mentally projected to her.

"That will do. Head to the dinning room. I'm about to serve breakfast." The housekeeper
