With the discovery of unique, phosphorescent crystals in several different interconnecting coal mines, the miners experimented with this curious new mineral, it became a form of currency around the west, it was discovered that certain humans can place a hand on the mineral, and absorb the pigmentation and energy of the crystal. When one absorbs the energy of a crystal, the unique pigmentation is absorbed into their retinas, they can feel power coursing through nonexistent veins, they are given a extrordinary ability, when the energy taken from the crystal has subsided, the persons retinas will return to their natural state and the person will loose the ability, that is until they absorb another crystal. One man with this ability, he inherited to most powerful ability of all, if he killed one of these other "Specters" he could absorb their ability, he could absorb their beings, and he did. Using multiple abilities at once he became power-hungry, he raised armies and hell side by side, his fingers clenched tightly around the heart of the west. Can you rise against an unstoppable force, bound together by your abilities?.
Jake looked over at the two assailants, arms wrapped tightly around the wastes of the smaller women the were planning on taking with them, the women screamed, tears streaking down their faces, their futile attempts to squirm out of them the mens arms, the saloon fell silent long ago, the men attempting not to focus on the display behind them. If this sad bunch of pessimistic cowards wasn't planning on helping anytime soon, Jake was going to. Burning with rage he called out, making the men pause as the dragged the women out of the saloons doors.
"Put them down.. now."
The men laughed to one another,
"What the hell, you planning on doing about it?."
A smile formed across Jakes face
"I plan on smashing your sorry heads together."
They laughed at his response once again, letting the women go, they drew the revolvers from their sides and pointed the guns directly at Jake,when the saw the crystal in his hand, when they noticed his eyes pigmentation change color, it was too late.
Jake squeezed the crystal tightly, he dropped the colorless mineral to the floor, shifting his shoulders around, with a outstretched hand he tightened his fingers together, a feeling of power coursing throughout his being, the guns began to shift in their hands, the metal turned molten in a split second, it began to cover their hands, burning into their flesh as he did so, he twisted the metal around, he forced their hands to reform around one another, with hands forced together my hardened metal and wood they attempted to leave the bar, with a fearful look in their eyes, they nearly stumbled over one another exiting, he could have killed them, but decided to spare them for reasons unknown to even himself. Jake shifted his hat downward and stepped out of the bar, the patrons looking at one another amazing, his eyes returning to their normal color.
