[Juneau]

Not much was going through her head as she followed the man down the street. He was new though. Unlike the business men and women she usually saw, he wore a jacket worn and tattered. She didn't expect much to be in his pockets. A coulple of bills nothing more.

She tip toed closer and sliped her hand quickly onto his back pocket grab his wallet. Then with a guick glance up and a skipped beat of her heart she ran away in the opossite direction

As he was walking down the street Logan felt like he was being watched. As he walked past a motorcycle he quickly glanced into its side mirror to see a little girl following him. As he felt her grab his wallet and run he took a quick sigh and turned down an alley. He ran through a few back roads and hopped a fence to position himself in a dead end with the street in front of him and the fence behind. As he stood there the little girl ran into the alley and saw him standing there. "I believe you have something of mine?" He said and held out his hand for the wallet.

She giggled nervously. "I don't know what you're talking about mister."
Shaking her head she began stepping back. The wallet in plain view (in her hand) felt heavy with guilt. She placed her hands into the pockets of her oversized sweatshirt and attempted to slip into his head. As if playing with his emotions would help her get out of the situtation. However, something kept her out like a wall.

"What are you?" She muttered.

"What I am is none of your damn business, now are you gonna hand the wallet over or am i taking the hand too," he said popping out his claws. "Man what the heck was that," he thought "felt like she was drilling a hole in my brain, is she a mutant?" As he wondered this he started walking towards the girl with his claws raised, though just to spook the wallet out of her, the look in his showed he was ruthless but nit ruthless enough to cut a little girl's arm off.

She screamed and chucked the wallet at him. "You're a monster that's what you are!" Stood her ground too scared to run and be chased or brought to the station.
"You aren't going to kill me are you?!"

He picked the wallet up and put his claws away. "Nah, I'm not gonna hurt you kid," he said, "and I'm not a monster I'm a mutant, same as you," it was obvious to this point that she had to be a mutant, he had had enough people look into his mind to know what it feels like an this had been that feeling.

"You're the creepi- strangest looking one I ever met." "No offense." She fiddled her fingers around in her pockets. If he knew what she was, he'd quickly realize she took the twenty. She pulled it out and placed it in his hands. "You might want that back." She smiled, still feeling like she won it in away. "Well. If you're not going to kill me or anything I'm gunna go." "Nice meeting you Mr Claws!" And with that she began to skip away, back into the bustling crowds of the small city.

He took the twenty and put in into his pocket, "uhh, why can't it ever be a normal person who pickpockets me," he thought. "I'm gonna have to do the right thing here aren't I, ah well". "He kid," he said, "wait up, why are you out here on the street anyway?" And with that he followed her back onto the street.

"Why are you following me into them?" She turned around and proseeded in the same direction just backwards. When an officer at a corner saw her in the corner of his eye and recognized her she stiffened. "This way." She said loudly though it seemed like it was only for her own hearing. She sharply turned down another alley that connected two streets.

He followed her down the alley and looked around. They ran across to the other street ad waited until yhey were in the clear. "Okay, start talking," he said, "why are we running and before you even mention that, who are you?"

She bit her lip. It was dangerous even to be talking to this guy as much as she was. She let out a big sigh and spoke quickly. "My names Mia. And, let's just say I'm not the best behaved. They want to take me back home or to those MRD folks."
She looked concerned down the ally. An officer came running down gun raised in defense. After a few steps in however he collapsed asleep on the ground. "Sorry." She said looking back up at Logan. "He'll be okay, if he didnt hit his head... I think." "Who are you?"

"The name's Logan, and I know what you mean about those MRD guys," he said. He looked at her, and smiled a little bit. For a little kid she seamed pretty tough, she kinda reminded him of rogue from when they first met. "You what Mia," he said, "i think I know a place where we can go

"We? Why are we going anywhere?" She says still skeptical of his company. Then again she could use it. It was a while since she had anyone to talk to. Screw it. "Where is it?" She says in the tonw of lead the way.

"It's down in New York, first we need to find away out of here, I'd say use the Toronto airport but way too many MRD," he said. He thought about how they could get down to the school without being noticed as he started pacing. "I got it," he said, "come on, this way". He started walking towards a nearby building where a friend of his was. "I really hope he's still town," he thought.

"You talk to yourself alot, and who's this he?" She follows him curious. Where the heck was new york. US sure but thats all she knew. And why a school. She already knew how to read and write, math was another thing but she didnt need that too much. "And i already passed the 3rd grade i dont have to go back to school."

"Alright Smart-ass just keep walking we're almost to this guy's house," "man," he thought, " i hope hudson still lives here," they soon reached the house and he went up to the door and knocked on it. When it opened a tall blonde guy opens it. "Mia, meet Guardian,"

Mia stood there for a second gears turning in her mind. "You mean..." she turned to Logan and back at Mac "holy smokes!" She grabbed his hand and began shaking it. A wild smile took over she was amazed to even be in the same place as him.
Mac smiled confused. "Logan, I didn't know you were in town. You should have called." He gestured for them to come in side and called for Heather. "Who's this?" Mac asked after shutting the door.

"Huh, this little pain in my neck is Mia," logan said walking into the all too familiar home. On the wall was a picture of the original Alpha flight team, "man that really take me back," he said, "look mac, i need a favor, I'm trying to get mia down to New York to get her to the school but the MRD is after her so we kinda need a hand, do you know a way we can get there without alerting them?" Mac looked at him and then at the girl, "what's he powers?" Mac asked. "Actually I don't know," Logan responed, "what are your powers kid?"

"Something with heads." She wandered about the living room and poked about all of his stuff.
"Don't- touch that." Mac said stoping himself and lowering his volume as Mia picked up some reasearch papers off the coffee table. "Just, stay put please. And what do you mean heads? Telepath? Tekenisis?"
The words went over her head.
"Um... no. I just know how people feel." She sat down and swung her feet. "And I can change them. Like I bet I could make you cry!"she exclaimed excitedly as if asking for permission to try.

"Oh, an empath then," mac said. Logan looked at the little girl with a realization, that when he felt the pounding in his head, that really was the little girl. She would definetely fit in at the school. "Alright," mac said, "try to make me cry,"
