I hope you don't mind that I took slight control of your character. It's just to get into the swing of things. As for the official stranger dude at the ending, he just told Jael that Toku is the Avatar, which is the reason for the weird vibe.

It was a good opening post. By that same token, I hope you don't mind the slight control I used. If it's not ok I'll be glad to change it.

Also, feel free to make longer or shorter posts as the story requires; I've no problem with that.

So can I transition to the palace with my post, or did you want our characters to talk on the way or something?

Also, what level of firebending would you say Toku is at?

Yeah, transition all you want, man.

Academically he sucks at Firebending. He barely knows proper stances, forms, moves etc. However, he's skillful when it comes to raw ability and improvisation.

So, I imagine it's pretty likely that Jael's overlooked something. That being, do you think it's that likely that the Avatar is normally allowed to have companions on his journey? If they're supposed to remain neutral, forsaking attachment and worldly possessions, that seems fairly unlikely.

So I imagine that Toku will have to strenuously insist that Jael be allowed to come along. Do you think so? It seems like something worth working in at some point.

Of course, not in the next post. Toku doesn't even know Jael wants to accompany him yet. A few posts down the line.

I was thinking, since he doesn't know whether he's the Avatar or not, he's lost a sense of who he is, and therefore his inner drive. Like Zuko in the series, when he switches sides to join the Avatar's party.
