"Oh? You sing?" It certainly caught Granyl's interest. "I recall you humming along to my songs, but I didn't know you actually sang. That's amazing!" He found this to be a fantastic thing to hear; she was a singer! Her voice was beautiful, he figured her songs would be as well. "I'd love to hear it! ... Uh, if that's alright with you, of course." He smiled innocently, not wanting to seem demanding, though he was somewhat excited by the thought.

A big smile crossed her face and she nodded, "That would be really great, I'd love to share it with you."
She was rather happy; he seemed to actually care about what she could do. She knew Mayor Mare did but she wasn't sure about the other ponies that she sang for when she came into town.

Granyl hopped off the bench, backing away somewhat and sitting on the ground. He smiled, simply observing like a one-pony audience. "Not exactly a stage, but a bench isn't the worst you could do." He almost laughed at his own comment, knowing from experience in that regard, but insisted on keeping a smile on his face instead.

She giggled a little and hopped off the bench to stand in front of it, "Works better if I'm standing, rather than sitting."
For a moment she stood and thought of a song. Once she did her eyes slowly closed and she sang Everything's Alright.

Granyl simply stared, becoming silent. He tilted his head slightly to the left, feeling his heart thumping in his chest. It was heavy, he was unable to explain how he felt. His eyes were wide, as he just sat there and admired the event. Interrupting her felt like a crime itself; having it end before she was done seemed like a disaster of an event. He had expected it to be nice, but this was more than he could of ever expected...

She forgot everything around her and even that she was singing for him. Once she was finished she brought herself back to reality and smiled nervously, rubbing one of her legs with a hoof. She felt rather embarrassed; she never sang in front of anyone she felt comfortable being around and usually it was just to sing. But she felt like this was different for some reason, her heart was beating a bit faster than it probably should have been and she blinked. She looked at him, wondering what his reaction was going to be.

Granyl stood, and was momentarily speechless as he approached her. The smile on his face expressed his enjoyment as much as the words he managed to say as he stopped, looking down at her. "That was fantastic!" He was giving his honest opinion. He'd heard a few decent singing ponies during his travels, but she was certainly one of the best. Normally Granyl would be one to join in on a musical occasion; but couldn't help but just sit, and listen. Fantastic almost felt like it wasn't a worthy enough word, but it was the best he knew.

Looking up at him, she smiled brightly, "You really think so? I'm glad you liked it." Her smile was genuine and she found that she couldn't stop herself from it. He had really enjoyed her singing, she could tell by the look on his face. It made her very happy that he did, she wasn't entirely sure if he would or not.

Granyl nodded. "Some of the best I've ever heard! You are really impressive." He confirmed his enjoyment, keeping his smile. He had to hear her again sometime, even if it was the same song. He wouldn't, of course, ask now. That would have been rather rude. He instead just kept quiet, having said what he felt he needed to.

She still couldn't stop smiling and nodded, "Well, thanks again. So, where do you want to go now?" She walked over to him.

"Hah, well..." Granyl looked up at the sky, noticing the sun seeming to have gone up pretty high already. "Suppose most of the ponies around here are awake now, aren't they? Gives quite a few options." He took a moment to think about it, considering the options he had. He hadn't honestly done much but sit around unproductively today. He kind of felt lazy, honestly. "Those ponies over at Sweet Apple Acres ought to be up and going by now, right?"

She waited until he had thought it through and when he had asked about Sweet Apple Acres she also waited a moment to think. After a few minutes of silence she nodded, "They should be. Is that where we're headed?" she smiled lightly.

Granyl nodded. "I figure out of the places I know of around here, I could be the most useful there. I'm certain those apples don't just fall out of the trees." He let out a small laugh. Honestly, he couldn't exactly cook, so most of the places she mentioned before felt like options he never had. Though that didn't really bother him; as some old fashioned work wouldn't hurt him. Well, maybe it actually would if something happened, but he figured he'd generally be fine.

Midnight gave a small laugh, "Hopefully, if Applejack wants to hire you. I've heard she doesn't take help easily. But let's go!" She turned and trotted towards Sweet Apple Acres but slowed to a walk to wait and walk next to Granyl.

Following after then for a moment before catching up, Granyl glanced down at Midnight curiously. "Doesn't take help easily, huh...? Sounds like somepony who is dedicated." He thought about with this information; Going to Sweet Apple Acres might be a waste of time. Yet he had nothing better to go on, so it was perhaps both his best and worst option. Life never liked to be clear, and it could get annoying.

She nodded, "That's definitely what everypony says around here." She walked with him to the farm, trying to dodge the ponies around town.

Glad to escape the main part of town, Granyl glanced around as they traveled. The scenery was nice; Grassy plains, flowery fields. Wonderful places to take a nap in. Similar to the area he'd be sitting at by the road the night before. "But there has to be some ponies to help, right? One pony plus all of those trees just doesn't add up."

Midnight nodded, "Kind of. I think she has an older brother...Big Mac if I remember right. But I think only the two of them work on bucking the apples during the season. So she doesn't really do it all by herself."

"Aah." Family. That made sense. Granyl figured he should have thought of that. It was a rather obvious answer that was sitting in front of his face. Though, still... "Two ponies is still really impressive for all of those apples." He began noticing Apple Trees, trying to mentally count them. He gave up after 48.

Midnight smiled and nodded, "Yes but its amazing how well they do it in the time that they are given. I think you'd be surprised." The farm came into view over the hill. "There it is!"
