Hi there! I have a few plots/pairings in mind which I was wondering if people were interested in exploring with me. :)
I've put them into hiders to make browsing more convenient. Let me know if there's something to your tastes, and please do read my rules before contacting me as it will give you a better idea of what I'm like as an RP partner, and what I'll expect out of you. :)
- Content Restriction: I don't mind violent or mature content, so long as it's tasteful. If things get too sadistic or at all smutty, then I'll either skip ahead or pull the plug. I don't mind swearing much, but it'll probably be quite sparse in my own posts. If you're under 18, I don't mind - but I expect you to let me know so that I can adjust the tone of the RP accordingly.
- Length: I'd like it if you give me two-to-three decent paragraphs per post. I would call a 'decent' paragraph maybe two of these rules put together. I do however understand that inspiration doesn't always come, and it can be hard to fit things around a schedule - so if you want/need to post less on occasion that's fine, it's just a general guideline to help make things more engaging for the both of us. I can on occasion write a fair bit more than three paragraphs depending on what's going on, however.
- Frequency: I'd prefer one or two posts a day, minimum, as a general rule and will try to give the same if I can. As said above however, life can interfere and if there's any reason why you can't post that often that's absolutely fine. If you know ahead of time I'd prefer to know too, but it's not too big a deal so long as you don't disappear entirely and just never message again.
- Dropping RPs: I'll always let you know if I feel I can't continue an RP for whatever reason, and will expect you to do the same. It's just a bit more courteous.
- Language: I'd expect a good standard of English from you. I find it tremendously difficult to stay invested in an RP when there are frequent spelling/grammatical errors, or you just don't seem to be able to string sentences together eloquently. I'm sure many people feel the same way. Mistakes are fine and I'm willing to work with you if this isn't your forté, but again as a general rule I prefer a higher standard.
- Romance: I'd prefer to keep player romance MxF.
- Fandom Roleplays: I don't tend to like fandom roleplays, mainly because I never feel like I know the world well enough to be able to write in it and fit the lore, while still doing something original. The exception to this would probably be the Elder Scrolls series, which I know really well. So if you're looking for anything based around the TES lore, do get in contact!
- Characters: I can play either gender quite happily, and am not particularly fussy over which. I have experience playing both, and I feel I can write well for both.
- Other: I'd prefer to RP in a thread as they're easier to check with subscriptions. I'm open to PMs too though, if you'd like that instead for whatever reason. Post below or PM me if you're interested in any plots, or want to discuss an idea you have!
ORKHOOD
: An Orkish coming-of-age tale :
Loyalty to the tribe was the first thing their parents beat into them. The second thing beaten into them was honour. The third thing into them was the ability to fight back. After this third lesson was beaten into them, they could stand on their own. The Orkish upbringing is hard and gruelling. It doesn't matter to the tribe whether you're male or female - you're taught to hunt, forge, gather and most importantly fight. This is what makes the Orks strong: it is their unity and their way of life, and has been for centuries. Now, two children are to undertake the final rites of passing and become full members of the tribe: but the road will not be an easy one. Just as childhood in the tribe is tough, the rites of passage are even tougher.
((Note: When I say 'ork' here, I'm referring to Blizzard/Greenskin/Elder Scrolls orks rather than Tolkein orks - which is to say, something more like this:
