Evangelion RP anyone?

As the title says would anyone be up for a Eva rp? I'll flesh the idea out once I know people are interested in an Eva RP.
I'm going to have it set just after episode 1, Shiji has just felled the third angel but was severely injured in the process and unit 01 is almost entirely destroyed. Rei is also severely wounded meaning Japan is currently without any Eva's or Eva pilots. This means these can be additional Japanese pilots or foreigners....and yeah the plot would go from there. We can't have dozens of Eva pilots so some people will have to be support staff.

I personally believe most are possibly intimidated by the structure and multiple conflicting views on it and thus it's complexity. Still , would be very entertaining if the frame can be set up accurately and yet still simplified to make it more 'user-friendly' in a way.

YES! Absolutely! As long as it's based on the original series and the new movie aberrations recently released. I apologize to and still respect anyone who enjoyed said films :P

I do plan to base it on Neon genesis rather than the rebuilds, of course there will have to be a few slight tweaks to be able to RP it, but it shouldn't stray too far from Eva lore.

How creative can we be? One of the great things about Evangelion was how it turned from sci-fi to almost spiritual fiction (at least how I saw it), so there would obviously be a lot of hidden aspects of our characters to develop later on... That being said, are they "just" Eva pilots? Can we have funky-yet-plausible prototypes? Can we go deep in our backgrounds and set up stuff for later on?

I guess it depends how linear you want to go with the series' storyline.

Yes they don't even have to be eva pilots if you want they could be a important person at Nerv or what have you, and yeah you could have prototypes as long as you run them by me first I don't want things getting too crazy. This will drift from canon slightly so as to make a functional game.
