Harry Potter?

Anyone interested in hashing out some ideas they've always wanted to work with for a Harry Potter universe RP?

yyy-yes? I'm not sure yet if I'd have time for another roleplay right now, but if I do, then yes. I'm very interested. Particularly in non-British magical cultures/school-systems and Battle of Hogwarts fallout. Maybe something centered on a class of Slytherins not long after the war? Or a wizarding crime family or even just the day-to-day running of a wizardly cafe during one of Voldemort's reigns would also be pretty cool. Basically anything outside the scope of the books and their characters. :)

I agree with spider. Anything that's not focused on the main plot and characters of the book would be good for me. I personally would like something post-war, perhaps a new band of Death Eaters decide to threaten the muggle community. Or, going for a sci-fi/apocalyptic feel here, muggles have figured out a way to be immune to magic and decide to capture wizards, using them for twisted experiments. We'd be their prisoners and try to figure a way out.

Eh, I don't really feel comfortable rp-ing a group that's meant to be an allegory for neo/Nazis. If the Death Eaters were NPCs then that would be ok tho. And there's enough sci-fi/apocalyptic rps like that out there--crossing it with the HP-universe doesn't really spice it up enough to interest me. However, I would possibly be up for an rp where the muggle community discovered the wizarding one and both sides have to deal with the consequences. It could be a bit dystopian, with new laws that force wizards to identify themselves, etc. We'd have to narrow it down to a closed-unit of course, to make it manageable--maybe a small village or neighborhood with several wizarding families?

I would almost do this. I wanted to sort of do another bout of Hogwarts (minus the originals) and then mix some outside world in where the books/movies never did. It would be both ideas meshed into one, and people could play either a student, or an adult/auror...or both.
