![enter image description here](http://i61.tinypic.com/161c092.jpg "enter image title here") There are always legends and myths and some may be true and some may not be true. Most aren't. But this particular tale is. Rumored to have developed soon after the time of the dinosaurs ended, a large monumental city of gold formed out of thin air, called Babylon, connected off the coast of Florida by one single long bridge, a bridge that stretched for miles upon miles to the center of the Bermuda Triangle. This city, protected by some kind of mystical force, allowed it and its residence to live in peace and secrecy from the rest of the ever changing world. As the rest of the world around them became corrupt and power hungry, an accidental nuclear mishap caused a massive earth shattering catastrophic event, the impact so massive that the protective mystical force protecting Babylon dissipated, but it also decimated 80% of the earth's population. This event became known as The Collapse. Had it not been for the mystical protection, Babylon surely would have fallen as well with the rest of the world. 10% of those who survived became known as The Cursed, their DNA being scrambled in unimaginable ways and soon after, developing odd and special abilities, but of course, with strange and unwanted side-effects. And of course the other 10% who survived developed no abilities, but found that their bodies were immune to the toxic clouds that lingered. They became known as the Clear. And the 80% that perished, well...they came back and rose out of the ground as the Dead, mindless soulless bodies only looking to feast on those who remained living. But all hope for humanity isn't completely lost. The tale as it goes, also says that what kept Babylon thriving all this time was the golden Heart of Chrysus, who many years ago brought the city into existence. The golden heart is what keeps the city from crumbling and keeps the hearts of its residence beating as well. Should the heart of Babylon be taken out of the city, it and all it's residence would surely turn to dust. But...this heart, when brought out of the city, would purify the world of the nuclear toxins and the walking dead, and the world as we know it would flourish and once again regress back to its beautiful natural glory. The Pioneer for this expedition to Babylon was started by a French man named Deveaux, an ambitious fellow who gathered a nomadic group of Cursed and Clear alike in his quest to bring the world back to the way it was. He came to call this group, Rebirth. Having been informed by his Oracle that the city was endanger by those who dwelled outside Babylon, the King of Babylon, Olcadan, has begun preparations to protect his city with the help of the Queen, The 3 Shapeshifters, and his Gold-bearers. Is the price of a golden civilization worth the price of the rest of the world? ### Rules 1. WHAT I SAY GOES. PERIOD. 2. EVERYONE SHOULD POST ONCE OR TWICE A DAY OR EVERY TWO DAYS. They move at a slow pace and react to simple movements and sounds or heat. If you can jog, you should be able to stay ahead. Though in large numbers, out-running them isn't always enough. Thinkers- These Dead are probably the smartest(as smart as a Dead can be). They still retain some of their older memories and inquisitiveness they had when alive, so these Dead can move a bit faster, turn door knobs, and ignore sounds, among other things. These however are far and few in between and least common. Gorged Dead- These Dead are the slowest, but the strongest and their bodies have swelled tremendously from the copious amounts nuclear toxin absorbed. You'd have to be extremely skilled to take one of these out, but Cursed Ones, depending on their ability, typically have an easier time handling these. These appear every so often. ### Babylon Residents **The King**- Played by **Merman**. -Olcadan is the King of Babylon and will do whatever he can protect his city and his people **The Queen**- Played by -Olcadan's wife and second in command when he is not present. **The Goldbearers**- Played by multiple -These are some of the most talented Babylonians who have shown they are skilled in battle both physically and intellectually and have been presented with a golden item by the king. This item, whatever form it may take, can be used in battle, and grants the bearer a unique set of skills. **The 3 Shapeshifters**- Played by (1), (2), (3) -These 3 are some of Babylon's most powerful and unique warriors and born from the heat of the God Chrysus himself. They are genderless beings, who have a main humanoid form, but share a bond unlike any other and use their morphing capabilities to achieve what ever is necessary. They are like...siblings. The eldest(1) can shape-shift into any element of various capacities and mix and match it's elemental composition at will. The middle(2) can shape-shift into any animal at will, even those that have since become extinct such as dinosaurs. The youngest(3) can shapeshift into any human being on the planet who is living or has ever lived, can mimic their voice, and even the physical and intellectual skills they possessed, this includes the special powers and toxic immunity of the Cursed and the Clear. Though it can only assume the form of one person at a time and if it assumes the form of a Cursed, it also takes on that Cursed's side-effects. **Babylonian Citizens**- Played by multiple - The citizens of Babylon who are none of the above roles. ### Rebirth Residents **Deveaux**- Played by Merman -Leader of the nomadic group Rebirth and hell-bent on seizing the Heart of Babylon. But he may have ulterior motives. **The Cursed Ones Warriors**- Played by multiple -Having survived the nuclear decimation but changed forever, they developed strange abilities but usually with unwanted side-effects. **The Clear Warriors**- Played by multiple -Having survived the nuclear decimation they were changed but not quite like the Cursed Ones. While they did not develop any abilities, they did however gain an immunity to the toxic nuclear clouds. **Rebirth Citizens**- Played by multiple -Not everyone in Rebirth is a fighter. ### Other Anyone not in the above two factions belongs here.
