The battle cruiser drifted slowly through the belt of the cybernetic planet known as Prysm, the bits of metal and wrecked ships occasionally bumping into the plasti-steel hull of the massive space vessel. Inside, it was piloted by a 12 people, some human some not. The captain was in the dining hall, munching on some freeze-dried bread as he watched through the clear-steel windows. The surface of the world below them was completely made out of space junk and metal that had melted around the core of a star, fusing together to make the planet. It was mostly inhabited by outcasts from galaxies far and wide, and a large selection of sentient androids. The captain himself, Jareth Sartoris, felt that he was akin to the androids, as he had several cybernetic implants himself. He had his right eye removed due to a deep-space infection that had caused his eye to go blind and several mushrooms sprout from it, so he had a medical center cut it out and replace it with an OptiFine eye. He could better calculate his targets and see his chance of survival, success, etc. His left ring finger was also cybernetic, wrapped in a leather-like alloy that simulated skin and feeling, and three of his teeth were replaced with small drives that increased brain activity from 10% to 20%. He could lift objects that weighed around 3 pounds or less about ten feet away from him using his mind. He had chin-length, naturally red hair and his left eye was green. He wore a black Phyrexian Tiger leather jacket with a large, red insignia on it, which was 3 stars surrounding the planet Earth. An old battle vest from when he was in the Intergalactic Marine Corps. On his right leg was a blaster and a few battery packs, on his left was a Vibrosteel knife. his face was thin and pointed, and he had a pair of tight cargo pants on. His old steel toed boots were a tad dirty, but well-maintained. The ship ran on the power is absorbed from nearby stars, the radiation keeping the engine running. It occasionally needed repairs, oiling, and the normal routine checkup, but it could theoretically run forever, if it was near a star. The ship had six floors, each one with 360 rooms. Sprouting from the top was a small floor holding the pilots center, the dining hall, and the Captain's quarters. Underneath all that, there were other dining halls, a gym, half a floor devoted to crews quarters, and various labs and armories. It was quite the ship. Jareth finished his meal and headed up to the pilots nook using the elevator and looked at the sight. The 'sun' of Prysm, which was just an exploding ball of natural gas, was just beginning to rise. It was quite the sight, watching the metal glisten and sparkle, watching the lights in peoples homes just turn on. "Land at the spaceport." said Jareth, "We're meeting the contact there. She wants to join the crew. We will need to evaluate her first." he nodded to the pilots and went to his quarters until they landed. When they finally did, it was an explosion of culture. From human cultures to deep-space music playing on the stereo system, which consisted of grunts and whines to an electronic melody was seen and heard for miles, all on one, gigantic metal surface. This truly was the epitome of equality. Everyone tried to get along. Sure, there was still violence, poverty, but that was to be expected on a planet which has no stable economy. Jareth headed to a dingy little Phrexian bar called The Mosh Pit and ordered a glass of Geophian absinthe while he waited for the contact.
