Sup mods. I know this is for suggestions/problems and not questions, but I'm not sure what forum policy is on this:

I'm planning an RP for the Advanced Section. The reason it's in Advanced is because it's a 'detailed plan'/'think before do' game rather than a 'write a billion paragraphs of perfect English' game, so I kinda feel like it should be open to players in casual if they get on board with the game's style, as it explicitly states in the IntChk. Would it therefore be legit to post an Ad for it in the casual section's IntChk page as well, even if there's no version of the game actually taking place there?

I'm no mod, but to answer your question:

There are many cases in which GMs post Interest Checks in both Advanced and Casual, and actually make the Roleplay in either or. This is typically done though to see where the Roleplay generates the most interest and that's where the Roleplay will take place. There are some advanced RPs where there may be some players that post a little less than advanced standards, and vice versa, as long as overall with the majority of the players, it still maintains those standards. There is also a Interest Check section without any standard immediately labeled to it, that you will probably want to post in if you haven't already. I imagine it would be perfectly fine, as long as you state that the standards are advanced. You'd have more leniency with that if the RP was in casual though, which sounds like might be a better fit for this specific Roleplay, but then again, I don't know the specifics of the roleplay. I hope that helps.
