Greetings and salutations, folks. My name is Evan, but I prefer to go by my internet alias, Garland. I've been a roleplayer for quite a while now, but mostly have just stuck to chatting sites for that. I've come back here just today to hopefully get back into the swing of things, forum-based-RPing-wise. There are some things you should know, though:
-I'm not completely comfortable with writing full paragraphs. Three to six lines is what I'm best at.
-I AM a male, but I prefer to roleplay as female characters for personal reasons. It's nothing dirty, I promise.
-On the subject of mature themes, profanity and such is fine. However, I prefer romance over flat-out smut, as I find the latter to be rather unsettling and just plain wrong.
-I'll try my best to come online at least twice a week. In case I'm gone for more than two weeks, I will be providing contact information to those who show interest in roleplaying with me, so we can stay in touch and make arrangements, on-site or not.
-I'm not a big fan of playing as canon characters, so sorry in advance.
-I can RP as human characters, but I honestly find them boring. Monster girls are what I generally tend to RP as. If you want information or a reminder on what my character's race is like, I'd be more than glad to explain.
-I can do FxF or FxM. If you could provide two different characters, one for each gender, of yours for the roleplay or a gender-swapped alternative for a character, that would be fantastic.
-I'm not horribly good at discussing plots and settings, but providing information on my characters is something I personally feel like I'm best at, in terms of discussion.
-I'd appreciate it if our RP becomes a long-term thing. However, I'll only be able to RP with one person at a time. If I find someone I'm fine with RPing with, I'll post a message in this thread.
That should cover it for guidelines and general information you should follow and know. Now on to the genres and the setting.
Setting:
-A Modern setting. Present-day with fictional elements. Standard stuff.
Romance:
-Unrequited love between two people who just met/Unrequited love between two friends since childhood.
-Falling in love with an amnesiac.
-Love at first sight.
Slice of Life:
-Two friends' discussion about the world around them.
-Two strangers who frequently meet up with each other and eventually become friends.
-Two best friends who do everything together.
(Of course, we could always blend the two genres together.)
If you're interested, leave a comment and PM me, or just PM me outright, and we can discuss either way. If you're leaving a comment, though, make sure to say what your favorite mythology is, as well. For example: "My favorite mythology is Celtic!".
