Set in the late 20's, early 30's, there is some definitive gang rivalries occurring among the smoke and scotch of the casino front. Two major gangs, the ones pushing all the real cash, are The Midnight Crew, the original mobsters of La Castina. And then, The Felt, a gang of green suits with an affinity for pissing off some of the worlds most dangerous men. Like every good gangster, neither crew is willing to fire the first round, but there is definite friction between them. With seven casino strips, the power balance of each gang is constantly shifting. With the casinos for a front, the Midnight Crew leads the Arms Race and booze bars, whereas the Felt has monopolized the "adult entertainment" industry. In a town with bars, guns, clubs, and casinos as far as the eye can see, it ain't surprising that the local police force stays out of the gang's way.
But lately, they've been cracking down a bit harder, a good handful of our newer goons have been needing a bailout from our ever-so-generous founder, Mr. Midnight himself. We've got a good amount of Intel that the Felt have been suffering a bit as well. Ever since that new commissioner stepped in, they've been nothing but trouble.
Now then, now that you've gotten a bit more accustomed to the town, it's time to lay down a few ground rules. Around here, you've got three options. You can join up with the Midnight Crew, the Felt, or the police force. Your options are pretty black and white, and once you join one their ain't no going back. Secondly, nobody kills, ever. We don't need a full out gang war on our hands, ain't nobody going to profit from that. Beat, maim, or arrest if you've gotta, but nobody dies. Thirdly, you join up with the midnight crew, you use a blade, nice and simple, Felties use something blunt, and the police got their tazers. Everybody has a gun in this town, just make sure you got one scary. Now, we know that this is an exciting place, but we don't need any sex in the casinos, we got hotels for that, Keep it in a bedroom. Lastly, ain't no gods here. You get too big for your britches, we take you out. Simple as that.
