So, I'm a long-time fan of the Custom Robo series. For those who don't know, think Pokemon x Gundam (PoketGundam). So, my next logical thought was "how do we enter the world without having to learn and compile at least three games' worth of world-time and lore together? Tack it on right after one game, so world-time is narrow and directly sequels events. Then, add something to build/enhance/grow the world: the "internet", but with Navis Robos. So, here goes what lore I have made up so far:

After the Z Syndicate was apprehended, the outside world, which is still mostly desolate, was explored. A few old-world technologies were discovered by archaeologists and life expanded its reaches by building more dome cities. After years of researching the reports of the Rahu incidents, RoBios started to be looked at by combining DNA with a Robo's Cube. They grow like humans, but are still limited to existence in the cube. The person who is scanned by the Cube is still considered the owner and can "dive", but is limited to more of a first-person coach rather than an operator of the Robo, which reduces physical kickbacks from safety-off battles. Half-dives, (which is a non-owner able to look at the last activities of a Robo), are able to be done by anybody on a RoBio's Cube. With people becoming more spread apart, scientists and communications experts started trying new things, like long-distance Robo Arenas (L-DRAs), which work if there are two physically-linked computers as a proxy for the Arena. Next, they tried to turn an arena into a social place, where you appear to dive into your cube while it's hooked up to a computer, but in reality, you were entering your Dome's "DomeSquare" (or DS), where you could chat, and your weapons (guns, bombs, and pods) were removed from your Robo. The next logical step was to connect the DSes. Wires would have to travel miles to reach another dome, but since cellphones could call someone in another dome, why not do the same idea to connect DSes! So, taking the idea of portals, they created a DomeNet that connected all the DomeSquares together, but the road between each Dome's Square was dangerous, since they couldn't enforce the DS no weapon program on the entirety of the DNet (it would take too much processing power, and connecting Robo Cubes is a new thing). The RoBios were soon discovered having "children", and aging as humans do, reaching peak performance in sexual, mental, and battle maturity, between 18-25 years of existing, but they've only been around for less than 40 years, so work is still being done. With RoBios having their own consciousness driving them, naturally some defected into criminal RoBios, stealing parts and RoBits (currency) to buy parts and food.

tl;dr Rahu-esque robos exist, but not inherently evil/bad, and some are "born" in cubes by scientists; multiple domes with a wireless computer network that you have to dive into to connect becomes the "internet"; it's basically Pokemon x CustomRobo x Megaman (Battle Network Series).

So who are you? Are you a Robo Commander? A RoBio "Coach"? A RoBio (with or without a coach)? scientist? Parts maker? Bounty Hunter?

Yes, there will be a plot, but I'm hiding the actual plot for now, since I just dropped a huge lore-bomb on you. The most important thing right now is you; story will come with time.

Here is a link to parts, which will be needed later if you're making a Robo/RoBio character.

Intro Plot

The DomeNet is still a work in progress, having an intention to be a world of its own- its own economy, shops, houses- to make up for the lack of world there is on the Outside. Scientists are recruiting anyone that currently uses the DomeNet to help test out areas and scenarios in the TestNet- the Testing Areas held offline for testing purposes- which is closed off from the rest of the DomeNet. You may want to join this test to make DomeNet better. You may be more interested in the money offered. Maybe you want to get in to mess with the coding and destroy the DomeNet. Even then, you might not want to join in, but would rather just enjoy the DNet. It's your choice.
