Inception, for anyone who hasn't seen, is a movie about shared-dreaming; that is, the ability for multiple people to be dreaming the same dream. The government developed the technology, and very quickly it became the new form of corporate espionage (with big-business owners and high-level employees even paying for training in defending their minds from those who would infiltrate their dreams.
I propose a Roleplay that takes place in the world of Inception after the events of the movie, where Cobb and his team successfully perform "Inception," that is, planting an idea in someone's subconscious so that they believe they have thought of it themselves. Following this "Inception Incident," shared dreaming gains an immense amount of black market popularity, and Cobol Engineering's services become the most sought after services in the world, followed by other startup companies.
In this RP, we would each take the identities of members of our own Team, put together by Cobol Engineering for new and even more dautingly difficult missions. There would be, as was in the film, an Architect who makes the dream world, an Extractor who steals the ideas, a Forger who impersonates memorable people, and so forth and onward; with the possibility of creating our own unique "roles" for the team. Moving forward, there would also be a high possibility of double-crossing from team members, and possibly splits over Cobol Engineering's more...unethical tactics (interrogation via nightmares?)
