Shortly after the end of RWBY V1, I had an idea for an alternate timeline of the series.
One year prior to Ruby was supposed to be noticed by Ozpin, a then-unknown party detonated a series of bombs at Amity Colosseum. With the majority of Tennant's Huntsmen and Huntresses attending, the number of active Hunters was cut almost in half. Sensing the weakness, the Grimm struck the Kingdoms. Without their guardians, each one fell. Now, three years later, man- and Faunus-kind survive in small bands. The two largest groups are the White Fang and Xiong Mob.
But something isn't right. The way Grimm attack has changed, becoming almost tactical in nature, like soldiers trained for battle. In a bold move, Ozpin and the remaining members of Team STRQ-- Taiyang Xiao Long, and Raven and Qrow Branwen-- infiltrated the ruins of Beacon Academy, the heart of the Grimm infestation. Xiao Long and the Raven siblings are MIA, but Ozpin returned with information, before dying from his injuries.
Someone was controlling the Grimm. A human, or Faunus, they couldn't tell, but it had been a person.
The RP would revolve around uniting the groups and trying to find out who this "Grimmancer" is. Canon characters would be available to play as, but would have to be reserved.
