Alexis looked down at her plate as it was laid affront her. It wasn't much but it was plenty for ten dollars and it would hold her over for a day or two more if it came down to it. Hopefully she wouldn't have to wait that long. She picked up her fork and began to pick at her meal. As she brought the fork to her mouth she allowed her eyes to scan her surroundings.
There were few other customers, but the place wasn't very big either. Despite how few people there were they were all in quite close proximity. The door would open again and this time the guy from before would stand in the doorway. Was he following her? Or was she just being paranoid and this was just a popular location? There was no way to be sure. She remained silent as she placed another bite in her mouth and slowly chewed, keeping her eyes on her surroundings.
