@Akayaofthemoon Yeah, being home is the best! I've pretty much begged my family not to take me on trips with them since I was a little kid.

He was fairly certain the turning down such an offer would be rude. "I like to think that, now that the world doesn't need protection so desperately, one would do better to attempt to help discover things that will improve it, rather than only work to add to their own might. Although I like to think that my journey will add to my might, as well." He paused for a brief moment and tried to think of something worthwhile to say about his travels.

"I'll admit that my travels have hardly been anything special so far. I began when I was 16 years of age, and the first two years were mostly about working so I could afford the rest of it. I've had opportunities to fight fiends, that was probably the most exciting part so far."

Welp I'm officially back home. That was a pretty okay trip.

Spinel couldn't help but let a small smile slip at what the others were doing herself. "That was... really something." She couldn't think of much else to say, she didn't think she actually had a word for what she'd just seen. She headed into town like Aquamarine had said, not necessarily following her, because she wasn't actually paying attention to whether or not Aqua was ahead of her. Was going ahead of Aquamarine a good idea? It probably wasn't the safest, but Spinel was the self-proclaimed perceptive one of the group.

"If you see me disappear, go for cover yourselves or else be ready to defend. I'm not sure we should discount the possibility of danger up ahead." She'd intended to say something more lighthearted, but lighthearted wasn't really her strong suit.

@Akayaofthemoon Yeah, I've found that that's the best thing to do at times like this. Intermissions and bits where the action stops and nobody is completely sure what to do are probably the most likely thing to kill a roleplay, although I really doubt that will happen with this one.

"Is rest really something we need?" Spinel asked. She wasn't sure whether she meant to ask if they should be trying to rest while they had a job to do, or if she literally wanted to know if gems needed to rest. "I'm following you regardless, however I feel that I should say I'm a little apprehensive. Am I wrong to assume that this destruction was caused by a gem? Won't they be suspicious if a group of gems show up immediately after it?"

@Akayaofthemoon I agree. More on topic, I'm going to try to post something IC because I want to try to at least do that once a day, but I'm probably just going to have Spinel follow Aquamarine. There really isn't much else for her to do now.

@Akayaofthemoon Yeah, but I'm pretty used to it by this point. More than anything I'm surprised that we couldn't afford more than one room, since just the other day my dad was bragging about how he was getting $10,000 for an hour long speaking arrangement at some college. His explanation was that he had to put most of it towards paying of the massive amount of money he owes after being convicted of embezzlement. I have kind of a weird family, I think.
