Welp my post wasn't great but I felt like Spinel needed to do something.
"Of course I can, just come with me and I'll show you where I saw them." Spinel began walking in the direction she came from, towards the spot where she'd seen the others warp into the ship. "I know you don't want me to risk my safety, but one of the nice things about me is that I can do my job without being anywhere near the danger. Are you sure you don't want me to back you up?"

@Loony I feel the same way mostly, I don't even kill the exceptionally large scary ones until they become a threat to my personal safety and I wouldn't dream of torturing them. I may have told you about this already but I used to let a very large family of spiders sleep with me in my bed and didn't actively try to kill them even after I started noticing bite marks on me, although I did sort of passively kill most of them when it was time to wash my sheets. I don't really know how I could have relocated them at that point, but I still felt pretty bad about it and still sort of do. During the summer, my bedroom is basically wall-to-wall spiders.
@Loony I can't blame you and if that's the only time you've killed one then you're better than me. I usually avoid killing them as much as I can but sometimes I'm forced to kill spiders if they become legion in my home, especially if I start waking up with bites. Yeah it's too bad my thing didn't work out but there's no use in crying over spilled milk, it just frees up my time to work on other stuff.

@Akayaofthemoon AQUA POST YAY!
@Loony The only deadly spider where I live is the brown recluse, though thankfully I've never seen one. I'v always been kind of fearful that one could show up in my house though, since spiders routinely get into my room.

And yeah, sorry about the other RP. I didn't really have anything to say to your brother in the OOC thread besides 'Cool, you do that' or something which is why I never posted there again. You can tell him that basically nobody was interested, which is kind of sad but I don't blame anyone at all because I'm well aware that it was a crazy, hard-to-approach idea that maybe could have worked but was framed in a way that appealed to no one. It's not all bad though, that RP technically gave us Spinel and Chromite since they were originally going to be in it.

You don't need to be so modest, your artwork is really pretty good. I guess you should take what I have to say with a grain of salt though, because I really can't do art at all and know nothing about it despite really wanting to, so anyone who can draw at all will automatically be impressive by my standards.
@Loony Hm yeah I thought for a second that maybe I should ask if camel spiders even are where you're from. I just sort of included them in animals that would probably like my shadow but I'm not sure how I'd feel having them close to me for very long. I mean, I know they wouldn't bite for no reason but I'd be slightly concerned that one would find my leg a good resting spot and get startled if I started to move. Also random fun fact, one of the characters I had for my RP which shall never be made was an incredulous camel spider who lived far enough out that they had no idea a gem invasion had taken place.

And wow I love all of your drawings, they're really cute.
@Akayaofthemoon Yeah, that's always a possibility. My inspiration for it came from how spiders have such large, surprised eyes like I want Spinel to have, only less round.

@Loony That's pretty hilarious. I'm aware of the arachnids liking shadows thing but to be honest I'm not sure how I'd react if I saw a large spider or camel spider getting too close to me, in my experience some creepy-crawlies get too affectionate with me and get mad when I try to shake them off, I'd hate to experience that with something terribly large.

Also who are Idocrase and Kornerupine they sound great!
@Loony Yeah, it makes me wish I got to see them more. I wish I knew enough to say what kind of spiders live in and near my house but all I can call them is those smallish brown ones. I like how they aren't even aggressive, if you get too close to them they're just like 'pardon me human I'll just lazily shuffle away from you.' Also I just realized how much I need to draw Spinel with jumping spider eyes.
@Loony Oh, good idea. I love how surprised they always look by default, so it seems like that one doesn't even notice the water droplet.
@Loony Yes, but jumping spiders are harmless and insanely cute. I mean, just look at em:
