Is anybody still interested in this?
@Loony Oh hey, you just reminded me of another thing. There was this store I used to love visiting as a kid where they would keep all kinds of birds outside in cages around the store. The store's mascot was some kind of green parrot named Jerry but I think my favorite was this very sweet toucan. We weren't allowed to pet the birds but from what you've said I bet the toucan would have let us do it. The green bird would always say "hello" to customers as they came in through the front door, I think that's why people liked him so much. I also learned that you aren't allowed to make too much noise around certain types of birds.

Also I think that's what they were, I don't really remember though since I haven't been there in a while.
@Loony Haha the colors of their feathers almost don't look natural. The first thing that comes to mind for me is how this implies the world must have looked when dinosaurs were around, if they were anything like that then at one point this planet was basically a literal cartoon. And yeah I've heard that a lot of birds can have really cool personalities like that, they sound like pretty amazing pets. It reminds me of this exhibit my local zoo has where you can walk into a bird enclosure during the summer and give them food. Some of them will happily perch on your hand or shoulder while you feed them but most of them would try to steal your little nectar cup.
@Loony I think I speak for Akaya and everyone when I say that makes me very happy to hear ^_^. I know that a hug and some great tea can't fix all of life's problems, but both of those things are waiting for you if we ever get to meet in person and if you want them.

Those birds are almost too perfect to be real, their feathers look like fur!
@Akayaofthemoon Yeah, that's what I was going to say at first too, but Blue Diamond's Pearl seemed to be the most timid Pearl of them all, so I don't know. Maybe ones with higher ranked masters feel like they have the right to be smug and haughty but only some of them do? Or maybe Blue Diamond just expected her Pearl to be quiet and submissive. It really is hard to say.
@Akayaofthemoon That makes sense, I wonder if every Pearl's personality is meant to compliment their owner's in some way or if some of them just feel like they have a license to be smug.
@Akayaofthemoon I find it cool how Pearl's can have different personalities and aren't all exactly like the one we know. I figured all of them would be something like Blue Diamond's pearl going by what we'd heard, I wasn't expecting a smug pearl.
So hey, on the topic of the show one thing that just occurred to me today that was awesome about the moment with Yellow Diamond is that that was the first proper look we got at Homeworld.
@Loony 0_0 Wow that is very far. I guess it might be a good thing for you though? And yeah I can see how being around birds for so long would have that effect, kind of like my sister with horses. That's really cool, I've always loved animals but I don't think I've ever had that kind of affinity for a single type of animal.

Also somehow I mentioned you twice, meep. And goodnight, it was nice talking to you!
@Loony Oh gosh you know a lot more about birds than me. Yeah I can imagine that having to leave a pet behind would really suck, with any luck you'll be able to visit him often. Is the university you want terribly far from where you live?
