He growled a bit, not wanting to. Yet, he did not speak again, as he was exhausted.
He moves his head, tilting his head in order to become more comfortable. He yawns.
He does not respond right away, but after a moment of silence he speaks.
"It was an accident," he responds.

He licks your face, as if trying to wake you up.
He moves his head forward, nudging you.
He continues to watch you silently.
The girl watches you for a moment longer before Rowan stirs, a bit stronger after his "sleep." She strokes Rowan's head, trying to get him to rest, but he drags himself up and off the couch, somehow managing to stand. He limps over to you and lays down near you, as if to protect you. It's a strange gesture of kindness, but he doesn't care. He lays his head on his paws, watching you.
The girl watches you silently, still stroking Rowan.
The girl notices you are fighting sleep and tilts her head, speaking softly as not to wake Rowan.
"Sleep. It's okay."
"Sleep. It's okay."
