Annihilate? Annihilate! Well that was a joke if Cyano ever saw one. She could barely hold back her laughter at the Ethereals comments that they could "Annihilate in a few moments" this world.
"Alright buddy. I'll "brief" you on this world's tech. First thing first, what I'm using is an outdated tech known as nanomites. They let me augment my natural abilities to an astounding amount. That should tell you all that you would want to know about that. I'll go ahead and explain more as we get around to it. Your going to see most of it as we go anyways."
Cyano continued through the field with the ethereal. Pretty soon they would come upon what looked lIke it had been a road before. No doubt this would confuse the ethereal to no end, so Cyano would explain.
"We don't use roads anymore. Instant linear teleportation became a thing a while back. Way more efficient and useful. And safer. Of course private areas had to have security changes but that probably won't matter much to you. The short story is that travel is pretty much only for sightseers and people who lost or can't afford an instant teleporter."
Cyano allowed a quick glance at the sky. They were pretty close now. From here the Ethereal could see the outskirts of the city. Oddly enough, a stone wall surrounded the city. Albeit a small one, it would still be odd considering what he had been told. In the opposite direction, down the old, now dirt, road, the ethereal could probably make out a manor. Though its importance was fairly low at the moment.
"When we get to the labs I'll tell you more. For now, well, I have to ask. Does it hurt to have your psychic powers suppressed?"
