A tried and beaten Felix was now shambling through the halls. At this point, he wasn’t even paying attention to his surroundings anymore, which could easily get him ambushed by the sisters; but he had faith in his friends, they wouldn’t fail. As Felix got closer to the Diner, he spotted Thomas, and the free-runner unconsciously perked up to hide the fact that he was wounded.

“Thomas!” Felix shouted from a distance before closing the distance at a casual pace. “Is Mercy in the diner? I gotta ask her a few questions.” Although Felix tried to hide it, he obviously wanted medical attention.

Thomas wasn't in much better shape than Felix. One side of his face was covered in splinters, some of which had begun to draw blood, and he was no longer wearing his maroon sweatshirt. His undershirt was rugged and dirty, and his pants had several splotches of blood on them where Lucy had gotten blood on him.

When Felix had approached, Thomas was fiddling with his face, presumably to get the splinters out as carefully as possible. Felix came as a surprise to Thomas. He hadn't expected him to show up, wasn't he supposed to be dealing with the Carnage Sisters? So much for the good that has done.

"The, ah, Plague Doctor is with the designated, uh, what did you call it? Ah, that's right. 'Support Group', the whereabouts of which I was not privy to. Thomas removed his hand from his faced and looked to Felix, his eyes like two needles that were leeching information off of Felix in much the same way that a mosquito would suck the blood of their host. His observations led him to know Felix's predicament before he even told Thomas what it was, contrasting to Thomas's lackluster performance moments earlier. Regardless, Thomas humored Felix. "To what ends do you ask?"

“Nevermind me, what happened to you!? I thought you were safe inside your room-” Felix got a bit closer to inspect Thomas’ face; it looked like someone bashed a wooden chair against it, although he didn’t look like he was in much pain, so it must’ve looked worse then it felt.

“Did you fight a carnage sister too?”

”Tch. It’s merely been a long night. Nothing grievous has happened to me.” Thomas remarked.

”But you are hurt, are you not? That’s why you asked where the plague doctor was.” Thomas paused for a moment. ”If you remember what I said before, ah, at the beach; I am willing to use my talent to help you whenever it is convenient for me, and it is at the moment. If you aren’t sick, than this injury is surely within my realm of study.”

“Owh that’s right, you’re a biomechanic aren’t you? In that case-” Felix threw his shirt to the ground and turned around so Thomas could inspect his back. there were numerous cuts and bruises all over it. “I kinda got beaten with a rope and door on my back, in that order.” Felix laughed it off, but it really did hurt.

”So you fought a carnage sister. And they actually managed to hit you. I’m surprised. Aren’t you titled the Infinite Free Runner? Ah, don’t answer that. Describe to me what happened so I can try and figure out how bad you are actually hurt. You were hit in the back and... Thomas trailed off, so that Felix would have an opportunity to tell him what was going on.

“Uhh yeah-” Felix stumbled on his words, he didn’t expect Thomas to get so excited about this. if he’d known, he would’ve rephrased some things. “I got hit in the back with a rope while trying to dodge a guillotine. I mean, I know that these sisters have unconventional weapons, but this one really stretched the limits.” Felix chuckled. seemingly in pain. “Anyway; after that, I kinda realised I was outmatched. So I tried to run...but then out of nowhere, a door snuck up to me, striking me in the back again! There was some serious tunnel visioning going on.”

”That’s… hmm. Thomas looked at Felix’s back, trying to decipher the discolorations and new information into a valid diagnosis. The only thing that he actually figured out, is that he would need a closer look to solve Felix’s back injury. He reached into his pocket for the glove that wasn’t used to pad his bruise, and carefully pulled it over his right hand. ”I can only deduce that there are moderate contusions, ah, bruises in layman's terms, from your injury by looking. I’m going to take a more indepth look, you may feel sharp pain on your back. Tell me everything you feel whenever I press, run my hand over, or otherwise touch a location that causes pain in anyway.”

Felix flinched at the cold touch of Thomas’ glove, Thomas described a sharp pain, but all he could feel was the cold, maybe his back wasn’t as badly injured as he thought, moving still hurt though.

“You sound like a doc, I bet if Mercy were here, she’d think you were stealing her position.” Felix chuckled. “Maybe she wouldn’t even mind, I mean it’s not like we have been forcing her to nurse us, but being the only one who can must be straining.” Felix tried to look behind him without moving his body, and in the corner of his eye he spotted Thomas. “If you’re able to treat me, maybe you can ease her load too. Because...I’m guessing that more people will get hurt before the night is over.”

“Skills are a commodity, every bit as valuable as the food you eat and water you drink in this killing game. Mine would be wasted as a free service.” Thomas remarked, bringing his hand up Felix’s back. The bone was fine, which meant that the bulk of damage to his back was just the blunt force from getting hit. There wasn’t much Thomas could do with his limited tools that Felix would not already know to do, but he would state the obvious regardless. ”Compression and Ice for your back. If you could find a painkiller in the pharmacy, those will obviously reduce the amount of pain but will also reduce inflammation.” Thomas stopped to take a breath. ”Some doctors recommend massaging the area around the bruise but “ — Thomas looked at his hands — ”That’s errs out of my control”.

Felix wasn’t exactly sure what Thomas was talking about but he was assuming that Thomas wasn’t going to help mercy with the wounded. He did appreciate the treatment that the biomechanic gave him, so there wasn’t much resentment towards his choice.

“Thanks for the tips, i’ll check the pharmacy after the hour ends, don’t wanna bump into another sister again.” an awkward laugh escaped felix. He surveyed Thomas again, but seeing his beaten body sparked Felix’s interest once more. “I explained my injuries, but you haven’t told me anything about yours.”

”To what end?” Thomas inquired, a slight tone hinting at quizzicality behind his words. As he spoke, he began to remove the glove from his hand so that he can replace it in his pocket.

“to what e-” Felix interrupted himself with a chuckle. “I’m just curious how you got all those wounds, you must have fought a sister haven’t you? you standing here means that you did pretty decent, so I was wondering why you didn’t join the distraction teams; I could have used the extra hands.”

”What do you mean ‘you could have used the extra hands’?” Thomas responded, clasping his hands together quickly. ”As a matter of fact, I did. The carnage sister is destroyed. Something you’ve obviously failed at doing.”. Thomas tilted his head slightly and stared intensely at Felix. ”But no. ’You could’ve used these extra hands?’ You could barely do your own job! You know what happens when you can’t do your job when there are machines actively trying to kill us? People die! That’s what happens, Free Runner! But you want to complain that I didn’t help with anything. Well, congratulations. Thomas fixed his position and turned away from Felix, shooting a glance to his upper torso as he spoke. He began to walk away, but kept talking ”Complain as much as you want, and hope you find the Plague Doctor before you run into another Carnage Sister.”

Felix stood there dumbfounded. He didn’t say anything that provoking did he? Thomas probably misunderstood Felix, that must’ve been it; why else would he start rambling about failure and death when both of them were successful? In any case, Felix would need to apologize for not being clear enough the next time he’d meet Thomas. And for the record again, he totally didn’t fail his job.

As Felix reached his room, Davis’ broadcast started, and as he expected, the others had completed their job. Felix should have been happy, but some of the words troubled Felix. As he got into his bed, his mind had trouble letting go of the anxiety, but his beaten body could do nothing but rest and eventually, he fell into a deep slumber.

After the mess that was Snow’s previous interaction with human beings, her mood had gone downhill rather fast. She was reminded of the narrow-minded ineptitude of every person in existence once more. Right as Snow was willing to give them a chance, they just had to prove her right again. It was almost embarrassing to be part of the same species; humans were truly obnoxious.

It was no surprise then that her face contorted in a nasty frown when Damian made the mistake of approaching her. His question immediately put him on her wrong side. If he was sorry for bothering her, why bother her in the first place? That manipulative nice guy behavior ticked her off even more than the amount of space he put between the two, as the guy was obviously keeping some distance out of fear or shame. In any case, Snow was not even slightly interested in this human, and so she simply turned away and kept walking.

As Nariko was spurting out hydraulic fluids, a glimmer of certainty settled in max’s eyes; they were on the winning side, and if they kept this up, this night would be a certain victory. Hearing Zach’s words, Max took a step forward to continue their assault. However, the cop’s attention got drawn by many of the infinites who had entered the corridor. While he couldn’t drop his guard around Nariko, it would be foolish to ignore all the people coalesced in the hallways. Either they were all here to help fight Nariko, or they had brought their own problems with…them.

One moment, Zach was readying an arrow; the next, he was absent. In a split second, Willow ran through the A-team, leaving them with one man short. Max could only shout his name before said shout got drowned out by the infinitely more agonizing screams of the archer. It was too optimistic to think that they were gonna win without casualties, and Max knew that; that’s why he immediately refocused on Nariko. Emotions are prohibited in such a situation, and Max knew that willow was a threat, but multiple people already turned to face Willow. The only threat that max should target was Nariko; that was his job.

“Keep her busy.” Was all that Max said to what remained of the A-team before bolting. He intended to circle the pharmacy to get behind Nariko for an ambush. As he was running around the corner, he could only hope that the others did their job too.

Within a few seconds, max hid behind the corner at the opposite side of Nariko, she was trapped. Max eyed the cable that Nariko almost cut through; if he could only finish the job, they could take out the carnage chassis once and for all. All that needed to be done now was wait for Nariko to be distracted, a single moment would be enough for Max to disable her rear legs or electrify her to death.

After having discussed the general plan with the others of D team, Felix went towards the Private Quarters on the second floor. The echoes of footsteps stopped in front of the dump, where Felix stretched his legs, carefully observing his surroundings. His lower arms and ankles were covered in pieces of metal, they may be a bit heavy, but they could hopefully stop any projectiles thrown at him.

This wasn’t like last time, Felix came fully prepared to win this fight tonight, and nothing was going to stop him. He even considered distracting more than a single sister by himself, but then again, he wasn't that stupid.

While Felix waited, he could hear a thud from behind the dumping room door. Something akin to a metal object being dropped on a metal table. It wasn't especially loud, though that might have been because the door was shut.

Feeling the tension of the eerie quietness around him, Felix was almost happy when the noise snapped him out of his own anticipation; even though it scared him. This was not the time to be frightened though, so Felix quickly jogged towards the dump door before silently opening it and peeking inside.

Upon opening the door, Felix was reminded that the trapdoor in the dumping room was open on the second floor. With the door open, it became obvious that Napoleon was using her guillotine as a makeshift grappling hook. The unusually massive blade was able to support the carnage sister's weight without being coiled around anything. ”Here I come!” the gitty carnage sister called out before pulling herself up. However, she had the other end of the rope tied in a noose, which she hurled at Felix.

If he wasn’t prepared for anything when he opened the door, the noose might have turned Felix into cattle, but luckily, his freerunning reflexes allowed him to dodge to the side, only barely being scraped by the rope. He immediately wanted to get some distance from Napoleon, but with the sudden rush of adrenaline, he stumbled over his own feet, leaving him a dozen feet from the door.

”I didn't think you'd be waiting for me, heh. I hope I didn’t keep you waiting.” The carnage sister had pulled herself up and was quickly winding up her arm to retrieve her rope. She used her other hand to effortlessly pick up the guillotine blade and hoist it over her shoulder. Traditional blades for the guillotine weighed almost ninety pounds, but this one looked like it might weigh even more. It was heavy enough to support Napoleon's weight when she climbed out of the trap door after all. ”It's a shame I don't have my steed with me, I'd just love to ride something right now” The carnage sister wasn't making any sudden movements, just slowly stepping towards Felix. ”Is there a reason why you don’t have a weapon? I think you'll find me pretty hard to discipline without one.”

“Ehehe.” Even though the situation was not favoring Felix, he had an obvious grin on his face; perhaps he was confident in his ability, or maybe just really scared. Either way, he was quick to his feet and with every step that napoleon advanced, Felix devanced.

“These metal plates-” he said as he raised his arms. ”Are heavy enough, using weapons would only limit my full potential. And I’m not fighting you anyway.” Felix then stopped in his tracks to allow Napoleon to get closer. “I think you know what I’m here for, I mean what with all the reinforcements and all? it looks like Davis is realising the threat we pose.”

The carnage sister cooed ”Please stop talking, you're spoiling the mood.” Napoleon Heaved her weapon towards Felix, but not directly at him. The blade was moving pretty fast, but the free runner would undoubtedly be able to avoid getting cut. On the initial throw anyway. The carnage sister held the rope so that it wasn't directly behind the blade. Once the rope fully extended, it would swing like a pendulum in any direction Napoleon chose.

But while Napoleon swung at Felix, he had started running towards the robot, clearing the guillotine. With a decent build up, he jumped over napoleon, intend on disorienting her.

Even though Napoleon's initial swing missed, there was still plenty of momentum to carry the guillotine counterclockwise around the carnage sister. The robot herself spun clockwise in the opposite direction, winding the rope around her waist. This shortened the rope's length to the massive blade, causing it to revolve around Napoleon's body even faster as it closed in. Meanwhile, she had thrown out her noose again. It was coming at Felix clockwise, from the opposite direction of the guillotine. Aiming above her head was difficult, and she would not be able to snag any of Felix's limbs. But in the air, Felix didn't have a lot of control over his momentum.

Looking over to his side, Felix was surprised to spot the guillotine coming his way, but with no way to dodge it mid air, he braced his arms to try and catch it, or at least block it. That’s when he found out how heavy the blade really was; it send him flying into the direction of the rope, which acted as a whip at the velocity that the two collided. He could feel the air escaping his lungs as the intense pain surged through his back; while it wasn’t a fatal strike, this would surely hurt for the coming days.

it wasn’t looking good for Felix, the sheer strength of Napoleon would be manageable if it wasn’t for those unpredictable movements. Now that Felix was lying on the ground, he realised how outclassed he was, and the only option would be...to run. So before Napoleon could react, Felix was already sprinting towards the resort, although his injured body may have caused him to run a bit slower.

Napoleon caught the massive blade before it had a chance to crash into her. The carnage sister was carrying a lot of weight, but it didn't seem like she was having any difficulty pacing herself with the injured free runner. ”Please tell me you're not done already. You have to be able to last longer than this. Why are men always so fast to finish up?” As the two came crashing into the resort, Felix found himself near the music plaza. He could see some of the musical instruments set up on an elevated stage. Escaping from the plaza would be difficult in his condition. He couldn't jump over Napoleon like he had done previously, and she was quick to position herself between both of Felix's remaining exits. He might have been able to escape into the beach retreat, but it was a very small door, and the carnage sister had just gotten done unwrapping the guillotine from her torso. So Felix decided that before heading to the beach, he would try to distract Napoleon first.

“Come on sister? isn’t it kinda weird to harm the injured patient that you’re supposed to care for? I mean, I know you’re new and all, but in this killing game, the sisters take care of the patients, I’m pretty sure monokuma won’t be happy about what you’re doing here.” As Felix said what he did, he slowly started moving towards the beach, trying to make it look like he was just walking aimlessly.

Felix would not have to pretend to leave much longer. Something hit the door hard enough to pop it off of it’s hinges, and it was coming straight for the freerunner. Between Felix's diverted attention and hurting body, he wasn't able to avoid the door's charge. It smacked into his back, and shoved him towards his pursuer. Napoleon was ready to capitalize on Felix's predicament. While she was sprinting forward, she hurled her guillotine directly at Felix's chest. The giant blade spun as it hurdled through the air. Such a large piece of steel could easily split a man in two, even with the blunt end. But then the door that was shoving felix along suddenly changed direction. He found himself being slammed into a wall. The pain was hard to ignore, but the vertigo was even worse. He found it impossible to remain standing and fell to the floor. Years of practice as a free runner made it possible for him to guide himself to the ground in a controlled manner. He was able to turn and face the two carnage sisters that would end him. Only there was someone else there as well. Felix was able to see someone clad head to toe in armor. In one hand, they held Geina's severed head, and in the other, they head a sword. If the split in Napoleon's head and upper torso was anything to go by, they had just cut her in half. The carnage sister's inhumanly heavy blade laid at their feet in two halves. ”Heh.” the carnage sister chuckled. ”I'm not much for the submissive role, but if it's you-” the metalic figure swiftly removed the blade and cut across the robot's torso, splitting her into three pieces. The robot's outfit was stained in equal parts blood and hydraulic fluid.

”Evil will always submit to justice.”

Justiciar tossed Geina's head off to the side and approached Felix, extending a hand towards them.

”Can you stand up?”

“Huh?” Felix was completely dumbfounded. Not only did he just get thrown in two directions without touching the ground, He wasn’t even sure Who threw that door at him. And now Justiciar was standing in front of him!? If he wasn’t so worn out and hurt, Felix would surely question justiciar’s allegiance, but from seeing him handle nepoleon, he didn’t stand a chance anyway.

And so he hesitantly grabbed hold of Justiciar’s hand, stumbling a bit before regaining his balance.

“I uhh..should I be thanking you?”

”I am needed elsewhere.” was the vigilante's response. The suit didn't let Felix gauge what the individual’s facial expression might have been. ”I can help you to your room, but I need to assist with the fight against Nariko as soon as I can. Getting yourself killed now would be a great injustice.”

“I can’t leave yet, I have to-” A burst of pain surged through felix, and he flinched in response. In his current condition, he’d be of no use to anyone, so perhaps it would be best to leave it to this metalclad savior.

“I’ll be fine on my own.” Felix sighed. “If you’re targeting Nariko, I won’t hold you back.”

It seemed like Taka had no clue where they were as well. The fact that he clenched his fist and scoffed at Snow meant he wasn’t happy with her actions, and that didn’t surprise her. But instead of being hostile towards her, Taka tried to bury it; he was complacent, and Snow liked that trait. Taka was obviously judging her, but he accepted Snow regardless, like a good citizen that listens to its corrupt government simply out of sloth or ignorance. Not that Snow was corrupt; it just made her life easier if people obeyed her unconditionally.

But alas, it seemed he misunderstood some of her words.

“I will not be leading your way, you are simply here to satisfy my curiosity-“ Snow folded her arms and turned her head sideways, her eyes gazing towards the fence, “Don’t expect me to babysit you.” She then bluntly turned towards Taka and took a few steps towards him, invading his personal space; table-leg still in hand. “But you already knew that, you are just using me to satisfy your curiosity as well, so you should be happy to assist me.”

As Snow got closer to Taka, it dawned on her that he was taller than her and though that didn’t scare her, it made her intimidation look kind of silly. Nonetheless, now that she was so close to Taka, her hazel colored gaze started scanning his face, completely disregarding his emotions; as she was so focused on the cross-dresser, she completely missed Aurel sneaking by; but that didn’t matter, because she realized something.

Snow didn’t know why, but now that Taka was so close, a sense of anxiety burrowed into her head. Although she dismissed Taka’s hostility earlier, he could be lying; in fact, it was ignorant to assume that he was telling the truth. He could easily act like he just woke up here like Snow to make her feel comfortable around him; but for what reason? Was he simply observing her, making sure she didn’t do anything to harm the big master plan of whoever put her here? Or was this boy the actual person who planned it all out? As her mind started thinking of possible scenarios, her outward appearance started changing as well. Her confident posture slumbered into caution, her expression turned vigilant, and she gripped the table-leg more tightly.

“Say…what do you remember of yesterday?”

There was a building. A looming giant, towering over the trees and houses that surrounded it. In front of this building stood a girl; elegant rose leaves twirled around her platinum colored hair as she basked in the glory of Hope’s peak. This was her first day attending the school, and her eyes should have been sparkling with happiness and anticipation…and yet, a solemn glare was the only thing to be found on her empty face.

“Where the crap am I?”

A voice, it came from outside, perhaps somebody was lost in her neighborhood. It didn’t matter; he would be on his way eventually. A still numb Snow opened her droopy eyes, which were facing the ceiling of the room. She reached for the ceiling with her right arm before focusing her attention on its hand.

“A dream.” A soft and sweet, yet melancholic voice echoed through the room.

No, it wasn’t a dream, a memory. But what happened after? She couldn’t remember, or she forgot. It didn’t matter; she would be on her way eventually. When Snow turned her head sideways, she expected to see a teddy bear, a poster of a beautiful snowy landscape, a familiar room. But…she wasn’t in her room at all. The only familiar thing in this room was the grey-toned ceiling that tricked her into feeling at home.

Snow abruptly shot up from the couch she was so comfortable on, perhaps a bit too fast, as her blood flow hadn’t quite caught up to her brain. After the short-lived headache dissipated, she stood up to inspect her surroundings. The walls were wooden and unable to keep the chilly air out. It was cold when it should be summer: problem number 1.

After observing the room for a good few minutes, she came to the conclusion that she was located in a kind of presentation cabin for camping fanatics. There was an old-fashioned projector facing a whiteboard, and chairs littered around everywhere, which on its own wouldn’t implicate anything specific. But in the backroom, loads of English written binders about various camping aspects were lying around. Luckily, Snow had a basic understanding of English from her past experiences, though some words were still lost on her. But nothing in this cabin gave her any clues as to where she was: problem number 2.

And then there was the why? There are about a thousand possible scenarios, but it would be better to single them out to the most obvious. She suffered from amnesia. She went to school for half a year but an injury caused her to forgot her experiences there and she was currently in a place which she had also forgotten. But wouldn’t it be weird to forgot such specific things? Amnesia is not biased, so why did she only forget her experiences from exactly the day that she attended hope’s peak and after?

Another possibility would be that she was kidnapped before ever entering the school. But she couldn’t find any signs of a struggle or abuse on her body, nor did she remember being assaulted. The third scenario would implicate that she was dead, and this is the afterlife. But that would mean that nothing changed, except for the location; so that’s very unlikely as well. In any case, she had no concrete proof to support any theories: problem number 3.

After rummaging through her brain for another 10 or so theories, she decided that it was enough. There was simply no way to know for sure until she found more clues; it wasn’t as if the exit was locked. However, on the odd chance that she was kidnapped, she decided to break the leg of a table, and use it as a weapon.

And so she reached for the doorknob-

“What the FUCK?!”

Snow immediately released the knob, flinching back a few steps. That shout came from very close by, and it didn’t sound very endearing. It confirmed that there were more people in the vicinity, but their tone intimidated Snow. Maybe she should peer from the window and try to check the guy out first. Peeking out from the side of the window-frame, she immediately spotted a boy with a beige ponytail. He didn’t look extremely imposing, and seemed to be watching his surroundings as if he was clueless as well. So earlier was a shout of desperation, a cry for anyone to explain what the hell was going on. It was reassuring to know that she wasn’t alone in her predicament, but also bothersome, if that guy ended up sticking around her; he would surely bog her down.

However, if he was obedient, then two pairs of hands would be better than one, and if he ended up annoying her, Snow could hopefully ditch him at some point. And so she reached for the doorknob once more, and opened the door with a confident attitude, table leg in hand.

As soon as she walked out into the open, she noticed a lake in the distance, but it was fenced off. No, they themselves were fenced off; perhaps to keep wildlife or hooligans away from whoever owned the property? Furthermore, it seemed like there were quite a few more buildings here. And in front of one of them stood another guy, purple haired and a guitar on his back. It must be a weird musician or artist trend to dye your hair purple, though it looked very unnatural.

Luckily for Snow it didn’t look like purple guy was familiar with shouting boy, as they didn’t interact with each other whatsoever. Hopefully, purple guy would stay out of it, because Snow was not looking for more than 1 person to keep her occupied; 1 person was already stretching the limit.

“Hey, if you have any idea as to where we are, or why; now’s your chance-” Said Snow to Taka with a confident yet empty tone, table-leg still in hand. She looked to be trying to intimidate the cross dresser, but there was a subtle desperation in her voice that just wanted answers.

“If not…then help me find out.” However, both her desperation and confidence were overshadowed by a lack of empathy that rested behind her eyes; it was as if she felt no emotion or interest towards Taka at all; much in the same way that humans don’t feel anything towards ants, they are just naturally insignificant in comparison. The only thing she was interested in was solving this mystery sooner, rather then later.
