Protip, don't date your ICs. Aegon just referred to something that started in June...In March.

I would have to have time mobilize is what I was thinking, though I can stop dating things f you really want me to.
@Ampharos, why China not of wanting American help? D:
We shall remember that Portugal:P
Oh, we only squabble afterwards while you are in some dinky theatre. *pulls out gun*

SIC SEMPER TYRANIS, BI-OTCH.

Joking aside, yes it was a pleasure. I am definitely considering inviting America to the Lisbon Conference, by the way, so I hope we can RP together more moving forward.

EDIT: And if that wasn't an actual historical proclamation, I might suggest calling it "The Unity Proclamation"

EDIT: I'm certainly happy I could do better than the real CSA, but I honestly think the entire course of the war would've been different if the Army of Tennessee early on had only defended Memphis and western Tennessee like I had wanted them to. If I would've been the Commander-in-Chief back then and ordered that only to find out the army had defended all of Tennessee when the state to the north was neutral and the states to the south and east were friendly, I would've chewed out that General so hard. But oh well. It was still fun.

The United States of America

To the Russian Tsar, let it be known that the United States has heard your call for creating an international army to protect foreign interests within the Qing Empire! While I am hesitant to commit American boys to a fully integrated force, I shall commit to send 5000 American troops and the naval assets they require to Peking and the surrounding area. They shall cooperate with any Western nation who also sends troops to the area, but there primary focus shall be to rescue foreign nationals of Western nations from the rebellion that has embroiled the region. Let it be known that any foreign national rescued shall be transported to the Philippines, where they can stay until they receive transport home from their own nation or that of a nation who shall provide them transport to their home.

To the French Republic and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, the United States of America would like to extend our thanks that you have also seen fit to support the foreign nationals who have been caught in the fire of this rebellion in China. The United States of America would also like to echo Russia's call upon Germany to provide assistance as well as call upon the Kingdom of Portugal to come to service, seeing as both of these nations have their own interests within the region.

--William McKinley
President of the United States of America

How many war orders do the Boers get?

Two Normal and Two War, I would presume. They've gotta be weaker than South Africa, I would think, so unless you want less orders

Confederate States of America

Excerpts from the Confederate Surrender,

To the Generals and Officers of the Confederate Army and the Confederate Navy, let it forever be remembered you fought with great skill and strategy, with tactic and thought, and with honor and humbleness. However, we are faced a foe that drove men like cattle against us and we could not prevail over that. I ask you all to command your soldiers to lay down your arms.

To the People of the Confederate States of America, thank you for what you have given up, but it has been too much. I am finally hearing reports of how we have actually fared in this war, and it has been estimated that we have lost over two hundred thousand of our boys in this fruitless war. We have lost. It brings tears to my eyes that it is so, but we shall only suffer more if we keep pushing. Those damned Europeans that feigned friendship early on left us treading water, and now we must ask to be saved. The time has come to surrender, for God cannot condone such reckless bloodshed.

To my old friend Abraham Lincoln, it feels a lifetime ago since we where in the Whig party. This war shall forever change the character of our nation, but first it must become OUR nation again. While I offer the Confederate surrender unconditionally, I ask that you find a way to give amnesty to all those wanted for any shade of treason. I hope with the war drawing to an end after five years that we can become friends again, truly.

- Alexander H. Stephens, Acting President of the Confederate States of America (on December 25, 1866)

I guess this'll stand as our final casualty count.

Union: 464,561

Confederate: 203,884

TOTAL: 668,445

So a guess a little bloodier than in real life, but the CSA did fare better. Plus with Lincoln at the helm of reconstruction, the United States has the potential to actually have an affluent South 50 or so years down the road...:D
