when he pointed in the direction of his home, She laughed a little, "Well, what is the point of knowing the general direction?" He smiled and then said, "well nothing. Just so you know wherein I am."

He watched her as She turned and started to walk backward as she looked at a passing car. Turning to face forward again she grinned and hopped a little up onto the curb and looked at him when he asked her where she wanted to go. She looked around as they walked, eyes wide with wonder, "I haven't a clue..."

She moved slightly as a woman walked by talking into something pressed against her ear. Nyima could hardly begin to imagine what it was that she was talking into. She clasped her hands in font of her as she looked up at Rayn, "What is your favorite place in the whole city? Could you take me there after?" she smiled up at him, "You have your work cut out for you," she blushed slightly, "I don't really know much of anything about Republic City..."

He smiled and said "I kinda figured" as he chuckled and continued towards the market. Soon they came around a corner and saw a huge open air market in the middle of a town square. With actual stores surrounding the square. He then said, so here is the market, you can get pretty much anything here you want. " he looked at her and asked. "Anything you need? " with a smile. As tey would walk through the stalls he would stop to let her look at things. Answering questions as they popped up. Some of them so childish it was cute. It was understandable of course, the northern kingdom was stuck in the past. Which was interesting to Rayn. He wouldn't have minded living simple like that.
She snorted a little, “Your Nyima is a run-away….” She smiled softly, “And since when did I become your’s.”
He had smiled when she said this. Difficult girl...

She kept looking at him and as he promised to be there for her she swallowed, “Promise?”
He nodded his head again and said, have I left you since we met on the docks?"

She turned to face her brother when he said her name. She didn’t get a word out before he pulled her into his arms. She curled up in his arms and buried her face in his chest as she continued to cry. Sometime later, she pulled away from his chest and looked up at her brother. She just looked at him, in silence for a moment. She smiled at wiped away her tears, “I’ve missed you….”

He knew she did. She had mention many times how much so when she was down and he came over to comfort her.
She hugged him again before looking over her shoulder at Rayn. She then said, “Zhou… This is Rayn… Rayn, Zhou."
Zhou felt warmth as his little sister curled his arms like she used to. When she then looked up at him as said, "I've missed you." He replied with ." So have I." But before he could say anything else she introduced him to Rayn. Who looked only slightly older than him. And strong like a fighter.

Rayn said , "I've heard a lot about you, I'm glad to meet you." He nodded and said , thank you for holding her long enough to so I could see her." He glanced over his shoulder when he heard Mizuki ask a question about his sister. He then said "No I don't think you do. Many of the tribe don't speak of her, I never did because it was hard not having her around and I didn't like sharing it. But that's why I came, for the chance to bring her home safety..." He then said, waving between the two "Nyima this is Mizuki, Mizuki, my little sister Nyima."

He then asked , " So is Rayn a friend or...?" His tone was adding to something closer.
She looked down at the clothes when he mentioned them. She nodded her head, "They are quite comfortable in comparison... And I don't know how I would have been if I didn't have anything to change into..."
He nodded. Probably still a wreck he thought to himself

He watched as she spun on the stool when Rayn mentioned seeing the city, grinning as she nodded, "I'd like that."She then hopped her stool, looked at chan and smiled and gave him a small bow, "Thank you for allowing me to stay. Even if Rayn was paying you."She then smiled at Rayn and nodded her head, "I'm ready to leave when you are."

He smiled and turned around and walked towards the door he held the door open and waited for her to get out before he followed her. He took a deep breath and looked around the street. Where to start? He honestly didn't know. Perhaps the Market?

When she would look at him he would jerk his head to the right. " Lets go this way..." He placed his hands in his pockets as he walked slowly at first for her to get in step with him before speeding up. " so right now we are technically in the dock district. He pointed Down the road to their left as they reached an intersection. "Bout three blocks that way is my apartment. Just so you know." He said with a smile before crossing the street when the vehicles cleared. "But for now I'd figure I would take you to the market. "

He looked at her and asked, "what do YOU want to see after that? " wondering if she had any dreams to see while here.

As they walked he switched his hands from his pockets and place them behind him. Holding onto each other as he watched her
She shook her head and turned away, "Must have been a trick of the light..." This confused him, she never had a trick of the light before. At least what told him.
She took Rayn's hand and started to walk away when he heard the man call her name. "Nyima? Is that you?! "
At the sound he felt her hand squeezed his tightly as he saw tears fell from her eyes, "Ignore him," she said quietly as she kept moving forward, not looking back. "What?" He said, bewilderd at what he heard her say despite Zhou calling her name. Nyima was not a common name. And she was obviously was hurting right now.
"Nyima... Wait what are you doing?" She continued to walk dragging him along and ignored him. Tears still falling down her cheeks. He narrowed his eyes and stopped. His strength stopped her in her tracks. At which he moved I front of her and looked her in the eye. Or tried to as she looked away. He placed both of his hands on her cheeks and said in a soft voice, "What are you thinking? Nyima... Your brother is right here... A situation YOU told me might never happen again. YOU told me how much you missed them, your brother especially. Now it's here and you are walking away? " he stood up straight." The old Nyima runs away. Not this one... Not my Nyima." He lifted her chin so he could look her directly I the eyes. "Did you here me? My Nyima is a strong beautiful individual who can make her own future... Even in hardship." He gave her an encouraging smile. "I'm right here... IF he tries to take you back you know I will be here to help you right?"
He then looked up towards Zhou over her shoulder and gave an ever so slight nod.
He sensed Mizuki hurry to follow him and while she stayed close to him she asked. "Hey, wait up.. Do you know these guys? Who is Nyima? Who is that that's with her?" Zhou never told her about his little sister... He never told anyone save they knew her before. It was a hard subject for him. But here she was right here.
With out taking his eyes off of her he said" Nyima is... My little sister." He paused for a moment and continued, "When she was 17 she ran from home on her wedding day.... We haven't heard anything from her since. My parents thought she was..."
He stopped cold in his tracks, as he saw Nyima shake her head, grab ahold of the mans hand and turned and walked away. What was... She doing? Did she not hear him? He was about to call out her name again when he saw the man make her stop and talked to her in a low voice. What was he saying? Was he controlling her? He started to get angry but as soon as he did the man looked up and gave a nod ever so slightly. He nodded himself and started walkin again. He was greatful to the man... He was creating a moment for him to see his sister.
He slowly came up next to her he saw her tears and started to tear up himself. "Nyima... " was all he could muster up beforepullin her into a massive hug.

ok done. Deleted the whole segment. For the record, I thought this IC was stagnating (there hadn't been any posts in 3 days) so that's why I decided to post something surprising.

I saw the post in the interest check thread about needing characters so hopefully this is acceptable. Isabeau 20 Female Blonde Purple Standing at a rather average height of 5'6" and is always wearing clothing that is purple in nature, dark purple preferably. Her fashion sense, mainly the preference to reveal a leg or two while still being relatively modest, comes from her mother. Her hair is of medium length, stopping at her shoulders. She wears a jewel that has the family crest on it; the jewel is worn as an accessory attached to her clothing. Leblanc A black rob with a purple gem attached to the top. The rod can extend into a whip which, while potentially used for offense, has mainly been used for traversal. She mostly uses magic learned from her mother. Armor is a bit too bulky and restrictive and Isabeau prefers wearing more airy clothing. Born in Guadosalam, specifically in the newly renovated Chateau Leblanc, Isabeau coasted through childhood living off the minor fame and notoriety her mother had earned in years past. Isabeau would often go exploring in the Thunder Plains or spend evenings watching the shoopuffs at the Moonflow. Life in Guadosalam was horribly uneventful with the Guado chased out and the Leblanc Syndicate no longer being active in the sphere hunting business, though some enjoyment was found in learning Al Bhed from a few of the lingering members of the former organization. Often Isabeau would listen, most of the time only half listening, to her mother talk about the past, the rivalry with Yuna and how Yuna wasn't the real savior. It sounded believable as a child, but as Isabeau grew older and started looking into the past for herself the believably factor shot downward. Talking with travelers journeying on the Moonflow or stopping in Guadosalam, Isabeau slowly began hearing more accurate stories about the history of the Eternal Calm and those responsible for it. It fascinated her, partly because she was from someone who - partially - helped maintain it, but mostly because the journey undertaken by Yuna was exciting to her young mind. Isabeau begged her mother to teach her the basics of magic so that she would be safe traveling beyond the Thunder Plains. Reluctant at first, Leblanc did relent after Isabeau lied by saying she only wanted to learn magic to go take a trip to Bevelle and that she would try and get a photo or an autograph of Nooj. Unfortunately, Isabeau's plan to strike out on her own backfired when Leblanc insisted on coming to Bevelle as well. Mother and daughter made the journey to Bevelle where Isabeau snuck off to look at the temple but was underwhelmed at the fact that it was simply another tourist destination, a museum to the past. Isabeau returned to Guadosalam disappointed but not disheartened and possessed of a desire to explore more of the world since it was better than staying and listening to her mother lament days gone by. Armed only with magic and a left behind rod weapon from an Al Bhed who was once part of the Syndicate, Isabeau left Guadosalam and boarded a boat bound for Besaid. It seemed the best starting point for an exploration journey and with any luck she could talk to the source of her mother's envy and rivalry. And so Besaid would be the first stop on the journey. Though not as well traveled as many in Spira are, Isabeau has a healthy curiosity about the world that makes her come off as either sheltered or stupid, depending on who you ask. She knows all the well known facts, of course, but her skewed perspective of events often has her spouting off incorrect information as fact. Isabeau didn't fall far from the tree when it came to attitude. Though not outright antagonistic towards others, a life of relative luxury has rubbed off, making her a bit demanding and impatient. She's used to asking for something, batting an eyelash, and getting it, and finding out that such tactics don't tend to work as well as she thought has had the unfortunate consequence of Isabeau having a shorter temper than most. The most exposure she had to friends were the people that hung around the Chateau, and while not opposed to making friends, the concept is fairly foreign to her. She is rather opinionated and will not hesitate to speak her mind on issues, even if they are unrelated to the situation at hand. Arriving.
He looked over as she and walked over to him. She smiled at the Old Man and nodded, "I did... Thank
she looked down at her clothes. She nodded her head, "They are very different from what I am used to. Look," she said as she took a seat at the bar, "You can see my hands and neck and chest," She looked at Rayn, all smiles, "And only two layers. Back home you wouldn't be able to, let alone allowed, to wear anything like this... No skin, seven layers."
Rayn smiled as she talked about her clothes. She seemed already so much better . He was happy she was smiling now.

She shook her head and sighed, "Getting dressed always took forever. But this." She said showing off the outfit, "Didnt take long to get in at all."
"That's great to hear. Most girls take forever anyways dressing like you here." He chuckled slightly

Her legs began to swing in the empty space of the stool as her feet could not touch. She played with her hair a little and looked at Rayn, "Thank you, for the clothes... and dinner... and board.... I promise, I'll pay you back when I can."

Smiling still he looked forward at Chan and said. " You don't need to worry paying me back. I won't accept it." He looked back at her and continued. " I'm glad you like the clothes... Figured they would be a little more comfortable than your other; and to have a nice set of clothes to change into instead of using the same clothes for a while."

He stood up and asked" So let's go for a tour of the city. Might as well get used to it if you are going to stay."

He looked back to chan, " we will be back for her things later is that alright?" Chan nodded as Rayn placed some money on he counter.
Prefer a female summoner and you can jump in right away. We are in the temple of Besaid just starting
As Rayn neared the bottom of the stairs he heard the door open and the sound of running ending with "Hey!" He turned and looked up to see Nyima with a smile on her face, "Thanks...". At which he simply nodded and continued to the front counter while she went back to her room.

He sat down in the same chair he sat in the night before and old man chan came out and started to "clean " the counter. " so what are your plans with the Girl?" He asked casually.

Rayn sighed and said. " I don't know. She is still dead set on staying here. She does not want to go back."

Chan said" she is just a kid she doesn't know what's best for her." At which Rayn replied," She is Seventeen, when I was her age I already knew what I was going to do. I just needed guidance."

Old man chann then nodded his head..." Pretty girl she is too..." He said with a wink. At which Rayn shook his head. "Don't to there chan. I'm just helping her. She just got out of an engagement, and I'm sure it's the last thing on her mind. Besides it's not like I'm gunna try it's not right in my position."

Chain nodded slowly and grunted " mhmm... Sure. That's what all single rescuers of pretty women say" he chuckled and heard the door upstairs open. " just know the misses thinks you shouldn't let this one go." He finished as he chuckled some more.

As she came down chan said. " Good morning young one. Did you sleep well I hope? You look great in those new clothes" he said with a wink to Rayn who just glared at him for a second.
Yeah.... I would refrain from doing that again. That's total character hijacking right there
