She stood with him and walked her bowl over to the sink. She helped him as he began to do the dishes. She put away extra food that had been left out and as it started to pile up, she dried the dishes. She looked at him and sighed, "I didn't know... That they were so cruel." He nodded. Not a lot of people know that."

He wiped the counters as she finished the dishes he glanced at her when she continued to talk. "We don't learn much about the other Nations... I know that they are getting to their feet ever since Avatar Aang.... And that they had been wiped out hundreds of years ago," she sighed as she began to put away the dishes that were dry, "You would think that they'd be thankful for what they had... Not preying on young woman..."
She leaned against the counter and looked at him, "Are they all like that man?"

"Not all but most are. Some are thankful and try to make their own way, but there are a lot of nomads that are feeding off of other kingdoms, still using the extinction card to get what they want. " he looked out the window and Leaned on the counter.." A group killed my mother and brother... For no reason. That's when I started seeing their true nature... Part of why I became a police officer." He looked over at her" to make sure they don't do it to anyone else."
"I'm hardly worrying about you as a mother hen... I'm just making sure the man paying for my current home doesn't get killed."

He watched her as she prepared dinner, "I didn't worry about you at all until I saw you needed to be healed, hardly a mother hen," she said as she rose her spoon to her lips. She smiled at him. She nodded her head, "I was rather lucky with the woman... I was slightly surprised she was so willing to help me... with everything."

he took her bowl and sat down and began to eat. " Say what you want." He said with a smile.

She tucked her hair behind her ear, "So... Where did you get the cuts and bruises from?"

He paused as he ate, looking at her. He finished his bite and said slowly." I ran into a group on the way home." Looking her in the eye. "The same guys who tried to hurt you... I just made sure they wouldn't try again if they had a chance. Couldn't let that happen."

He finished his noodles and smiled. " thank you for the food." He got up and started doing the dishes " it was an airbender... They are dirty thiefs that roam the world stealing and killing...taking what they want and don't care about anyone but themselves..."
Alright let's get posting people!
Royal Blood

Jason Drake

"The City of Liveria..." Jason thought to himself as they rode into the city's gates. The place was so quiet and barren of life. There was a gloom that seemed to blanket the city, with the murder and all the witches that seemed to plague this region it would make sense why it would be. His horse snorted and shook her head with obvious dislike, as if she was saying "I don't like it here." Seemed to ring in his head. No he wasn't telepathic nor his horse but the bond between them over the years made it easy for Jason to read her.
He patted her neck and said softly, " Easy there Shay... Stop being a scairdy cat."
Shay let out a whine and looked back at him, her eyes seemed to say." How dare you call me that."
He smiled as he patted her neck again.

As they approached the palace, they stopped and dismounted, everyone tying off their horses save for him. He never worried about someone stealing Shay... They would have a hard time with her if they tried.

They walked up the stairs and made it to the top were they were faced with large doors, guarded by a pair of heavily armed men covered head to toe in chain mail, and wearing helmets that obscured their faces. They seemed almost as vacant of life as the stone around them. He glanced over at Mikan someone he did not fancy on the ride over. Always so loud and obnoxious... Yet he respected her... You don't get on the Queens blade for no reason. Even if styles conflict.
She then spoke up. "Hiya! Name's Mikan, meee-kan, me-kan, got it? Okay! We're the blades sent to help your king! Courtesy of our queens." He wanted to face palm himself when she did this but he held his stance, as silent and ridged like the guards that stood before him. His work depended on being still, so much it was just second nature now. The guards seem perplexed for a moment before shaking their heads and stepping aside, knocking on the door in a certain pattern. The doors open a few moments later, and with a wink, Mikan motions the party inside, giggling as she too enters the royal palace...

It took only a few minutes from that point. As they moved towards the throne room his eyes constantly scanned the halls and rooms they passed. Looking for an escape plan... Just in case. He did no different when they entered the throne room. Trying to spy out any guards hiding in the dark corners. But with the light situatied as it was, he had no luck for the moment. He looked forward and saw the crown prince sitting in his thrown. Beside him sat his daughter, a teenage woman, also obscured by darkness. Obviously intentional, the rangers used their cowl for the same reason. To create a sense of mystery, fear, intimidation... Make them larger than life. No doubt in this case. The bird was a nice touch though. As if the bird symbolized the distance between the crown prince and all others. As most monarchy do to make themselves "divine"

Mikan bows her head, then gets down onto one knee. "I am Mikan, and these are my compatriots..." At which he followed. His cowl now covering his entire face. The crown prince then asked,"What, are your names... And why did you choose to volunteer to come to a kingdom which openly disdains the one you work for." Jason noted that the crown princes's eyes seem to hesitate on Rayvon for a moment, before moving between the rest. He remained silent as the others spoke. First Rayne Walker whom he didn't like off the get go. Perhaps it was the way he talked and carried himself. But he didn't show it. Then Ceann, he didn't get much out of the she elf during the journey... Nor did he talk much as of yet to anyone in the party.
It was obvious it was his turn and he looked up at the crown prince and his daughter. So farthe explanations were to bring the two country's closer together or because he asked. He said in a calm voice, " I am Jason Drake, Kings Ranger. We seek for Justice everywhere... Including your kingdom M'lord even if you do not like us, my duty is to bring those responsible to justice. You have asked the queens for help and I am here at your disposal. We will find out who is responsible for the murders."
She looked at him and smiled. However, the smile fell when she noticed the cuts and bruises on his face, "Rayn..."

"Wha...?" Is all he could get out before she took hold of his arm and sat him down, ignoring all and any protests. The water spread over both of her hands. She smirked, "You know, when I offered to heal you as part of my payment back to you, I didn't think I would have to do so so soon."

"Yeah well, when you have my job you get used to unpredictability..." He said softly.

She shook her head as the water started to glow and she ran her hands over his face gently, "I found a teacher... It is the woman at the booth's son. She also offered to give me work there. I start work with her tomorrow and I start training with him soon after. Apparently, some of their wares are water bended, so I can work while he teaches me."
She grinned at him as finished with his last bruise, "There you go... Dinner is on the stove. Seaweed stew with seaweed noodles. I'll try to learn more recipes... but I only really know Northern and Southern Water Tribe ones right now."

"Well arnt you lucky "he said as she mentioned her good news he then looked over at the kitchen. He hid his thoughts extremely well... Seaweed....he never really liked it. But he didn't want to hurt her feelings." Thanks" he said with a smile.

He then felt his forehead the cut that was there is gone now. He smiled more "thanks for the help but you don't have to worry over me like a mother hen... I've had worse." He got up and made his way over to th kitchen, taking his staff off his back and placing it on a hook on the wall.
Gippal looked up at Sena as he heard the Former priests yell at her to stop. "Son of a..." He said under his breath. He glanced at Urick and then bolted for the cloister due to the Fiends that resided in there. Also no one was allowed there. He had always wished to see it as well but here now was the opportunity to see it.
He pulled his sword from his sheath and bounded up the stairs.

What was with this woman? Hopefully those katanas were not just for show. He could feel Urick behind him, at which he was comforted, there was nothing they couldn't handle together. They entered the trials ready for anything.
Nyima walked over to him and placed her hands on her hips. She looked up at him, "I may be weak and I may need help but I'm not a charity case. I'm going to pay you back, whether it be with money or doing things around your place. And you don't have much of a choice," she smiled at him, "I'll have dinner ready for seven."

She walked passed him and into her room. She grabbed her coat and pulled it on before coming back out. She nodded to him, "I'm going to go now... Get as much done before it gets dark and you are back."

She smiled at him, "I'll see you when you get home. And I promise not to get killed while I'm out."

She laughed a little and waved before she left.

He stood there obviously stunned. He shook his head and went about getting ready for work. Which didn't take long he then walked out the door grabbing his metal staff and throwing it over his back in its sheath.

The day went by fairly I eventful till he was on his way home. He noticed a group of men walking and laughing. He recognized few of them... It helped with bandages and bruised faces. He decided to follow them and mop up the rest of them..: he never got the airbender. From two nights ago.

He moved closer and when they moved to an ally he struck. There were four guys, two of them were instantly dropped as he pulled his metal staff, broken in two for carry, and flung them into the backs of the two thugs. The next two spun around and after gaining their barings the one on the left rushed him while the second blasted him with air. Which he was ready for as he stomped the ground and a thin wall of rock shot up, shielding him from it and forcing the first to go around it at which he punched right when he came around in the diaphragm. Breaking four ribs. He then used his opposite elbow to uppercut him in the chin. Knocking him out.
He then ran up a wall dodging debris thrown at him. He took three steps and jumped off, ripping off bricks ith his hands and threw them at the airbender, who easily deflected it. But it gave him time to get closer. The two punched and kicked at each other, blocking each other's moves. This airbender was better than the average airbenders.
They where able to knock each other around, slamming each other into dumpsters and walls. But finally he got the upper hand and slammed the airbender in the stomach with a quick jab with his knee. Sirens blared during the fight obviously they were alerted. He gritted his teath wanting to kill this one but he couldn't as they pulled up.... Wouldn't look good.
He placed some hand cuffs on the man and pulled him up and said as the other officers came running. "These guys attempted to mug and rape a woman a few nights ago... Make sure they get back to the building..."

He picked up his two metal bars as one of the officers said. " Dang sir, who was your Sensei? "
He shoved His staff back into his sheath and said as he began to walk out of the ally. "No one.."

He then made his way back home as he whipsd the blood off from his face wounds.
She rocked on her feet slightly, "I was planning on going down to the market and talking to that woman again... Seeing if she can point me the right direction of a Waterbending Master, who'll be willing to teach me... Then I figured I'd go and convince them to teach me... I'll probably try and find some place to work while I'm out. I'm going to need money after all... I'm not going to let you buy everything for me and what I have, I can't live on that for the rest of my life...then I guess it is a bit of practicing."

He nodded as she explained what she was going to do. "That's a good plan... " he moved over to the bathroom and tossed the towel in and looked back at Nyima as she looked back into the kitchen, "And maybe I'll make dinner for you, as a thanks.... Do you work today? You're a police officer, right?" " you don't need to make anything to pay me back... I'm just making sure a young lady gets a right start off. And yeah I work today and yes I'm an officer, I will be back around seven tonight."
Rayn watched Nyima as she looked at her brother, hurt matching her brothers. He sighed and snook his head what he wouldn't give to see his brother one more time...
Mizuki began to talk. She shook her head, "It is fine... I don't know who you are... Or I didn't."

"Three years. I came here straight after I ran away and Rayn found me soon after..." He looked at the girl with a strange look. Was there an echo? But he didn't think of it when Nyima said, "I've just about mastered waterbending.... Healing and fighting. Rayn says I've gotten really good at hand to hand combat... but I can't beat him yet... yet," she glanced at Rayn and smirked, which he smirked back and whispered."unlikely..."

"I've been doing good though... I'm healthy, happy, not married. I'm well......." she fell silent for a moment before she pulled her brother into another hug, "I'm sorry... That I don't want to go back..." she rose to her toes and kissed his cheek, "How is everyone back home?... Other than not even speaking about me...."

Zhou was about to answer when Mizuki did.
"Well... I cant speak for your family... But the tribe is in a feral uproar of sorts.. The eldest of the temple seem to believe war is going to ignight soon..." She paused glancing to Rayn. "One of the elders actually sent Zhou and I here.. On some top secret mission that even we do not know the details of. Though there is talk of deception and murder within the southern tribe. Apparently members of a noble bloodline hidden in the current generation are being..... removed.... One by one they have been killed in cold blood. Though of course that isn't what is important. Life goes on, even without the current nobles being alive. The main thing is that somewhere near here there is a location of up most importance to the Northern Tribe Elders -- and we're running late for an appointment to find out what is going on, and really need to get there as soon as we can."

Zhou glared at Mizuki, true it was a mission he was assigned... But he just found his sister after three years... You would think she would have a little more compassion. He then said," I really took it to find you Nyima. ". He said as he looked back at Nyima. He didn't want to leave but the lotus had moved into the home with the address. He was about to say something when Rayn finally spoke up. "If you are doing something that's so important right around here... With the Lotus walking in a group into that appartments.... I'm pretty sure you guys are looking for the new Avatar... Which is in that house right there... Someone I know is there right now she confermed it... While not at the same time" he said with a smile. Hopefully that would satisfy the girl for Nyimas sake
Nyima jumped when Rayn spoke to her, dropping the water of the mat. She opened her eyes and looked at him, "Oh sorry!"

He raised an eyebrow when she didn't realize he was there.

She quickly bended the water off the ground and into the glass. She blushed at him at her being scared he thought. She scratched the back of her head, "I'm good, I'm slept well last night, better than the night before."

She walked over to the cup and picked it up, "Just practicing a little... I didn't want to accidently spill any on your floor... Apparently it was a good idea just to grab a small glass."

"No worries, I mop the Matt twice a week. No need to worry over spilt water."

She brought it into the kitchen and poured it out. She smiled at him, "What about you? Starting to regret your decisions, yet?"

He took a a sip of his own water and then said. That's good to hear you slept well and no I don't regret it yet. So don't worry bout it. I'm just glad to be of service."

He went over to pick up a towel and asked "so what you planning on doing today ?"
