There will be mild fantasy, not much in the way of creatures or fantasy races, but there might be some sorcery and perhaps a magical entity or two. Mostly it would be skilled humans though. So, what do you guys think?

This isn't changing the whole setting, but you trying to tell me what character I can or cannot use.

In a way yes you are changing the setting. He said not in the way of fantasy creatures or races. Your character is another race/ creature which is against his "core setting" though I admit having magical entity's could spur he effect of other races in the rp and with the wording "mostly human brings up the fact of the chance of other races being in the rp. And allowing half cats opens the door to foxes and orcs and all that.

Just a thought

So I have noticed there are only two male participants active now and could use one or two more.

BUUUUT if more people are interested I am willing to expand the parties to 6 each so a total of six spots open and the two parties will be separate and will combine at the end.

So just putting it out there!
Nyima walked out of her room and pulled her bag over her shoulder. She shook her head a little, "They aren't going to be expecting me to fight back and they surely aren't going to expect you to show up... Besides, it doesn't matter how many months you train me, letting me win is only going to teach me so much," She looked at him, "And if I get hurt... Well... You are not trying enough if you don't put sweat and blood into it."

He narrowed his eyes and looked at her as she smiled softly and grabbed her coat, "I'll see you at the docks..." as she left the apartment. He grunted as he went to his room to get ready, then head to work. the work was mostly paper work, as he had to 'edit' some busts he did and make sure his butt was covered. He had training as well for the new batch of recruits, mostly to find out if they were good enough for the Metal bending. But afterwards he changed before making his way towards the docks. He soon found her siting on a box a short ways from where they met. During this day he thought about scaring her, attacking her while covering his identity. to dissuade her from choosing to be a Rouge bender, But he decided against it. it might just add to her trauma from that first night. But he did wear all black still and a mask. He slowly came up to her from her left, using the sounds of the docks to hide his movement and sounds as he stepped on the docks. until he was 10 feet away from her.

"You still want to do this then?" He asked bluntly to see how she would react.
She looked back at Rayn and smiled, "Well, then we'll pick a place in the morning and meet when we are done work."

He nodded as that was what he was thinking as well. It was the only way to make sure they don't create a pattern.

She Finished up,then she stood and brought her dish to the sink and washed it. She was quiet for a moment before she spoke again, "So, the docks tonight. If there are more gangs down there... There might be a few Airbenders hanging around with the same ill intentions."

"Usually are with some sneaking on ships and getting off at night. And it's a good please to prey on outsiders.

She smiled at him, "Maybe having a meek girl with you to help lure out the 'bad guys' will make you job a little easier," 'or harder' he thought to himself as She looked over him, "And maybe you won't get a bloodied."

" You are not trying enough if you don't put sweat and blood into it."

She dried and put her dish away before she walked into her room. After a little bit of searching, she put gloves into her bag before looking out of her room at Rayn, "You really aren't happy about this arrangement... are you?"

He sighed as he finished his food and walked to the sink. " Of course I don't like it. While you are living with me it's my duty to protect you as you get used to the city. Throwing you out their as 'bait' or fighting against hardend criminals with only a few months training is more the opposite of what I'm supposed to do. "

He washed his dishes and dried them. "But if you gunna go out alone it's better to make sure your safe next to me." Putting the dishes away cabnet.
"It's weird," she responded to his question, still looking out to the ocean, "It's still hard to believe, I mean, I was there, you were there, we all saw it happen...I'm just confused. I don't know what to think. I hope I'll find some kind of answer in Kilika. I thought I'd like the attention but...it's kind of annoying, having strangers come up to you and tug on your clothing. Ugh, I'm just confused about everything."

He nodded and said" I must say I never thought summoners and Aeons would return ever. Even Aunt Yuna is confused which kinda worries me. They said they came to help... I know they were around long before sin but it was only for sin we really needed them. " He looked out to the ocean as well and after a moment he continued. " I know what you mean about being famous. It's not all that it's cracked up to be. Trust me I've had it my whole life. Being the son of Baralai then for Blitzball.... There's rarely anywhere where I don't run into a crowd that wants my autograph or latch onto me. " playing Blitzball is his own fault he loved the game and was great at it because he wanted to. He just didn't want the fame. He played to play not to befamous.

As the ship steered it's way towards the harbor, just before it entered the shallows 100 yards away it jerked violently, causing all those unprepared to be knocked off their feet. He didn't have anything to catch onto and fell hard on his side. He quickly got up and looked over to Isabeau and asked, "You ok?" After she would answer he would look over the railing and see that their movement had stopped. They were at a stand still. Crew of the ship was running around trying to see if they were taking on water. Then a man yelled "Fiend!" Who was on the crows nest pointing over board.

Tentacles slowly came out of the water surrounding the ship. As some where high enough they came down and slammed on the ship, shattering wood and crushing a few men. One of which came down towards Gippal and Isabeau. Without hesitation he dove and grabbed her in a tackle spinning so he landed on his back and she on him. Grunting as he hit the deck.

The Captian started to bark out orders to his crew to protect the women and children on board, people started to run up from below deck , but before many could one of the masts was broken in half and fell infront of the door. Trapping most of the people under neith.

Gippal stood up and helped Isabeau as well before pulling his sword from his sheath. Now added to the tentacles large crabs slowly crawled on board causing more Havoc. He took a defensive stance between the crabs and Isabeau. He wondered where Urick was at, he couldn't see him. Or Persephone for that matter. Hopefully they were safe.

As a crab lumbard towards them he slashed at its legs, severing one of them causing the fiend to roar in pain. With out looking at her he said, "Let's hope you can call Valfore! Or we are in trouble."
Nyima nodded her head, "I figured as much... I may live with you but that is hardly an excuse to be putting myself in danger following you around," she smiled slightly at him. at which he nodded and rubbed his face trying to wake himself up more.

He watched as she scooped the oatmeal into two bowls before immediately soaking the pot. She walked the bowl over to Rayn and placed it in front of him, he then said "thanks you quickly before she took a seat at the table. She stuck her spoon into the hot cereal and looked at him, "So, we'd have to meet up somewhere..." he blew on his oatmeal and took a bite as he thought about where they could meet. Before he could say anything though she continued.

she was eating slowly, "There's the docks... It is pretty busy during the day and people tend to avoid it at night... Due to it not being the most inviting of places.... My first night here.... being a fine example. Or I could meet you just a small ways away from the headquarters"

He nodded, "A lot of Gangs hang out at night there at the docks, it would be a place for initiations, people you could handle. We could possibly meet " He looked at her, "But we shouldn't meet at the same place every night perhaps a few times at the headquarters but we should meet other places. patterns lead to clues, clues lead to us and we get caught and killed. You should also wear gloves from now on, we don't want finger prints left behind."
Royal blood-Jason Drake

Crown-Prince Xavier leans back in his throne as each one finishes. "I see." He mutters. He then looks at Mikan. "The fact that they sent you tells me how grave this situation is, considering you once broke into this very castle and left a note on my father's bed whilst he slept just to prove that you could." As Mikan looks up at him and shrugs Jason's head nods once and with suppressed smile ' impressive...' He thought as he watched her rest her hands on her hips.
"I was trying to warn you that your security was weak." She stated matter of factly.

Crown-Prince Xavier finally stands and steps down from his throne, as he did he could see a tiny smile on his face as he looked at Mikan. He glances towards each member of the group and nods accordingly, motioning for those still kneeling to stand. As he spoke Jason stood up slowly, his cloak quickly covering his body as he did." You may rise. I am not as formal as my father was." He watched as his daughter moves to stand but with a single motion from Xavier she sits back down, remaining shrouded in darkness.

"Your quick arrival is appreciated." He whistles to the falcon, which quickly moves to his gloved hands. This motion set in turn a few other sounds of moving stone, as the falcon had been standing on a tiny glyph of magic, obscuring it from the great light at the centre of the room. The glyph lit up brightly, and after a few seconds, a large table and a set of chairs were quietly pushed over the glyph by large stone gargoyles. As the glyph is covered by the table and chairs, the gargoyles return to their positions.

Normally we have a large, ornate carpet covering it which we can burn or remove with ease to activate the gargoyles to do... Whatever task the royalty wills them to do... However, the carpet was stained with my father's blood, and thus... It seemed only appropriate that while a new one is being retrieved from Tulerian merchants, that we have something keeping the glyph under control." He runs a gloved finger over the beak of the falcon, and then dismisses it.

It was at this point that he finally motioned for his daughter, and she complied quickly and quietly. Jason noted this. The crown-prince liked the control and power he had, to a degree that he would control his daughters movements when it is not called for.. It is obvious that he will control his daughters words as well just by his pressence.

In the princesses hands was a large bag full of documents. She left it on the table and then sits, the Crown-Prince Xavier sits at the opposite end of his daughter, looking up for a moment at the darkened ceiling and nodding before looking back to the group,
At which Jason narrowed his eyes and while using the cowl of his cloak he hides the fact of looking up at the ceiling, re positioning himself just right to avoid the glare of the light. Perhaps it was guards with bows or cross bows with their weapons trained on them just in case. Despite what he would see up there he would calmly sit after Xavier would say. "Please, sit." He motions with his arms to sit at any of the available chairs. At which he sat at between Xavier and The Princess Penelope as they were directly a accrossed from each other he sat at a 90 degree angle from them so he could watch them both to see their reactions . "Sit, and ask... Any questions you need before proceeding with your investigation."

Mikan then asks "... Your daughter's name is?..." Jason already knew her name, having grown up in the capital and in the castle with his mentor, he was more exposed to the politics and learned names of royalty in other kingdoms as part of his training.

Xavier responds with a softness that didn't seem characteristic to his otherwise uptight appearance. "Penelope... Princess Penelope. She was apparently in the room when it happened... She does not remember anything specific enough to be of aid." Despite his controlling personality it was clear he cared for her perhaps controlling her so he could protect her. She continues to stare at the table, almost entirely unresponsive towards the discussion involving her. At which he thought was strange but if she was there for the murder, for one sheltered as her it would very well be a traumatic time for her still.

Rayne spoke first. "Crown Prince. I must ask for your permission to speak with your daughter."

"...If you must." Xavier responds,

Nodding in silent thanks, Rayne quietly leaves his chair and walks to the other end of the table, sitting next the Penelope. "Hello, Penelope. My name is Rayne Walker," he said with soft words "I work for the Queen's Blades of Renalta. Your father has asked us to help find and bring justice to those that brought tragedy to your house." He would then finaly share some insite to his past which Jason had yet to hear.
"When I was younger, I was the only survivor of a bandit attack, and as the only witness to such horrors, I was forced to retell the events of my terrible experience over and over again. So I understand the weight of what I must request of you, but please understand the importance of it." It was a good plan relating to her to share some common ground. He too lost his father to murders.

"Penelope, I need you to tell me everything you remember of what happened before, during and after the assassinations, in as much detail as possible, take your time if you wish."

Before he could add in anything Ceann clears her throat, “First off, I would ask about the means of death. Was it a weapon? Poison? Magic? More physical means?…” She pauses before continuing, “As well, I would ask of any conflicts your kingdom might have, either foreign or internal.”

. “Xavier, perhaps we could talk with those who were first on the scene, aside from Penelope?” Rayvan asked as well. It would seem they were covering the basics well. He did not touch the documents as Ravyan did. He personally like to hear it from the source them selves. He finally added as each question and statement were answered by Xavier or Penelope, "I would add would anyone have a personal grudge against you? Who would target your family first? Also I would like to speak the men on duty, If you don't mind M'Lord, I noticed people will say more if not in the pressence of some one who is over them. And finally I would like permission to search this Area for clues that may have been missed and perhaps find out how the murders got in here."
Sorry for the delay lost my writing mojo for a bit I'm working a post now

Edit: done!
Nyima nodded her head when he gave in and agreed to take her under his wing, "Thank you, Rayn..."

She looked over at the stove and smiled at him, "Don't forget to get something to eat... Or else I'm going to tell Mrs. Chan that you skipped a meal," she placed her hands on her hips and looked him straight in the eye. After a moment, she rose her eyebrows before turning and walking into her room. She slowly closed her door behind her, shutting it quietly in contrast to slamming it moments earlier.

He said with his own raise eyebrows "threaten me after agreeing to take you out. Smooth move." At which he turned to get something to eat.

The next morning, Nyima was making the two of them breakfast when she looked at Rayn. She pursed her lips, "So... How is this going to work? You don't normally come home before you go off on your off duty business... Do I meet with you somewhere? Or are you going to start coming back here?"

He sat down and said, "probably out in the field will give us more time. You might have to wait till I get off of work mostly. It would be strange for you to follow during my shifts... Most of the time."
