Personality:
Rin seems extremely relaxed and calm. She's soft-spoken, being far too reserved and very rarely speaks about herself. Giving away her name itself is a rarity and usually, this makes it difficult, if not bearing impossible, to know what exact type of person she is from the first talk. She's not purposelly mysterious, but the way she is makes she appears so. Whenever she speaks, if someone is not entirely focused on her, they wouldn't hear at all because her voice is a soft whisper that's barely audible. Some have noted her quiet presence to be unerving, as if she carried a strange sensation with herself, but she's ignorant to why some might've said that. Perhaps the silence bothers those who are used to being loud.
While it might appear that Rin is closed off to social interactions, that's not exactly the case. The truth is, she's extremely shy and everything about her shows that. From the way she speaks (or rather, whispers) to her body language itself. Note that while shy, she's not a stuttering poor excuse of a shinobi with no confidence in herself what so ever. She's pretty confident about her abilities when it comes to fighting; in fact, Rin is a fan of fighting, even if it's a friendly spar or a real battle. She describes the thrill and adrenaline as her favorite feeling in the world. However, generally socializing is a bit troublesome for her.
The shinobi is rather unusually gentle with her allies. Even in a sweet, caring type of manner. She carries within herself an aura of trust and authentic friendliness. At the other hand, as expected from her rank, she's the opposite towards her foes and foes of her village. In battle, she does not waste time. In the first opportunity, she will aim to kill; she's cold, and her unbreakable will makes any provocation obsolete. Rin is also extremely determined, both in battle and outside of it; to her, being yourself and following your own path is the true task of a shinobi. Which is why her village holds such importance to her, because Rin both as a person and as a shinobi, believes that it's up to her the duty of protecting those who she cares about.

Brief History:
Not a lot is known about the Yamakage clan, rather than it was previously a rather well known mercenary clan, hired by many villages to fight on their side. It is said that the Yamakage clan was decimated when they fought against another powerful mercenary clan- and their mercenary work ended there. While it's unclear whether or not such thing is true, both of Rin's parents were once combatants that tried to settle as normal citizens in the village of Konohagakure. The reason being Rin's father knowledge on forging shinobi equipment, which made him spend all his remaining fortune in an attempt to settle a business in this village. Luckily so, that worked fairly fine and since them, the man has been able to live a relatively good life.
Which resulted in Rin's mother pregnancy; it was anticipated and awaited for and the two lovers couldn't be happier when their daughter was born. Since young, she watched her father spending the day at the forge, creating exceptional shinobi weapon- ranging from katanas to simple equipment such as kunai and shuriken. Many shinobi bought their equipment at his shop, and Rin's obsession with them started at the young age of five. Just seeing these brave men and women stopping bo buy more equipment and then leaving with all the willingness to risk their life for this village... It became her wish. And soon, she began to ask her father to help her achieve it; she wanted to become a shinobi. The man did not like the idea, as he didn't simply knew but had seen by himself what happened to shinobi: They were always living close with death.
However, Rin never stopped insisting and there was nothing the man could do but allow her. But, she was still too young... So the man trained her himself. Deciding to leave knowledge teachings to the academy when it was time, he began giving her literal training, first developing her fighting style. Rin proved to be a fast learner and she proved to be an exceptional fighter... at least for her age. She was agile but her attacks didn't hurt much, especially on the much older and experienced man. So, he forced her to improve her physical aptitude with daily exercises- sometimes, intense ones. By the time Rin was thirteen years old, her father had found out that she was born with the Yamakage's clan Raiton Kekkei Genkai. He, himself, didn't possess it and neither did Rin's mother, so she'd need to work improving it herself. This is why she has no knowledge on Raiton Techniques, but each of her parents taught her one.
She went to the academy and was considered a prodigy; acing every test with ease, she graduated after two years, at the age of sixteen because she entered the academy a bit too late. Now, she's feeling quite excited for what she might learn in a team.
Skills/Specialization:
Rin is a capable Ninjutsu user, her training has allowed her to make handseals extremely faster (faster than the usual genin, and even some genin). Not only that, but she's capable of learning new ninjutsu fairly easily, even if she hasn't show much interest in such. Her Taijutsu is average, but that's because she's not so strong physically, relying on her implacable speed instead; this makes her a fairly dangerous against slower foes, who likely wouldn't be able to keep up with her movements- and the fact that she uses two tantos to make up for her lack of strength also helps. She's an adaptable fighter, easily adapting to different battlegrounds and opponents easily. Her chakra control is pretty good, which means she doesn't spends too much chakra when using one of her techniques; and lastly, Rin is capable of reasonable thinking even during a battle, not only that, she's extremely concentrated and very rarely loses her cool while in a fight.

Two Tantos which are kept at her back. These two refined blades allow for precise and quick attacks; both of the tantos allows Rin to flow her chakra through it.

Bloodline:
Storm Release (嵐遁, Ranton; Viz "Gale Style" or "Storm Style") is an advanced nature kekkei genkai that combines lightning and water-based chakra to create energy beams that can be guided towards the enemy. This kekkei genkai is wielded by several Kumo-nin. Despite the name of this nature, it does not manipulate storms; it instead manipulates beams of electricity which flow like water.
