I am interested. I haven't rped on this forum before but am looking for a place to start where I an get my feet wet as it were. This looks like the perfect place.

Greetings, I am new here to the forums but a long time rper. I have rped in many formats and forum is by far my favorite. Being new here though so present certain challenges that most any rper can face. Not knowing a single soul on the boards, much less any of their characters.
Many places I have rped, or run, always seem to have a standard topic rp for new comers. You know your usual tavern meet up, where there is little defined plot and the gm wings it as people enter. Sending folks this way and that to see what they are capable of and how well they can work together. Sometimes referred to as a "getting to know you" rp. Even the most seasoned rpers don't always click with some of the other rpers.
I am wondering if any would be interested in participating in such an rp. Where character class and ability isn't the main focus but the building of growing more at ease of rping with other rpers to see if that click occurs. An rp where you can jump into and vanish from as needed if you just aren't feeling it with those around you. As well as allowing new members to get to know some of the veteran players here.
Is this something people may be interested in, granted depending on time period and setting of course. A general rp tavernesque setting that is relaxed and laid back or is it better to just jump straight in and go all out before knowing anyone else's style here?

Hrm, tea does grand as long as it isn't a very merry birthday. I prefer a much darker grasp on my insanity. I will stay only as long as there are those that enjoy turning peace to ash. I do hate the doldrums of a calm.
Good day all, I am known as Afina currently and in truth by this handle for longer than I care to admit. I am an old time peer who tends to have a flair for the dramatic and a horrible habit of throwing monkey wrenches into my rps. I have been rping for..... far to many years and have known many but things change and time moves forward whether we would like to or not.
I am up for most any rp, though I have a particularly strong tie to Rps set in medieval times, though I have a longing to delve back into the world's of cyber enhancements. Shadowrun has spoiled me so.
I have been on an extended hiatus from most rp boards for years but the call of the rp is strong and seems cannot be denied forever. I have recently returned to an older home over on the AQ RP boards and am brushing off the cobwebs from my skills.
Having stumbled on this forum, I figured it couldn't hurt to jump in and be the fresh meat for once instead of a veteran. I look forward to meeting new people and seeing where things go. I admit seeing such a well populated and active forum is both intimidating and exciting. Guess without further ado I should jump in and make myself comfortable.
