Purely out of interest what does Kalo think of human built aircraft? I'm guessing in universe powered flight is relatively new, only around for a hundred or so years outside of magical aircraft or balloons towed by winged beast-kin. I am just curious as to how our two characters will get along, and I think first impressions will likely be had when either one or both of them are in flight.
Also how widely known is the bit about a dragon's colours reflecting their magical affinity? Do they talk to outsiders about it?

Are we supposed to pick a weird power to work with or something? I don't quite follow the whole 'Unique asset' thing.
What do other types of fatal injury do to vampires and werewolves? For example being blown to bits cannot be healthy I imagine. How much can be healed/regenerated and in what timeframe?
Debating between a Dragon's Fire muscle wizard or a Paradigm power politician... Choices, choices.
Never anticipated a 'magical' aircraft, more that he uses his own magic to supplement the plane/whatever it is that he's piloting at the time. So he could pull off moves that normally would rip the wings off for example.
I am aware of that. I put in affinity because once he bonds Air will be his affinity (bonding is a guardianship requirement if I understood correctly). Also what about the piloting question? It will have a major influence on the character.
