Plague-Hunters

Nickolaus was a specialized hunter... or at least a soon to be specialized hunter. He was not so much surprised by the final arrival to the small gathering so much as he was surprised no one seemed to notice her. Joshua apparently had not even seen her sitting in the group for a short time. He had already known the familiar rune, or at least virtually known it. He was far more interested in the new arrival, as his training kicked in. The other soon hunters he had met before, and travelled long enough with them to know their abilities in theory, which was fine. But he needed to know the abilities of the new arrival more than he needed a "particular" familiar, and so placed the familiar as his second objective in his mind. After Joshua's explanation she got up and left, and no one else seemed to notice her do so... interesting.

The girls trick with the kris as interesting, and she disappeared into the forest after it. He quietly pushed off the tree, and spun on his boot heel, turning just to the right of where the girl had entered the deeper foliage. He quickly made his way into the woods after her, making certain the others made no notice of their similar direction. Upon entering the woods behind her, he kept off to her right side, stealthily observing from the shadowy edge of her vision, a familiar could wait, Nickolaus needed to know the other hunters skills... and the best way to know that was through observation.

Nickolaus, the last to join the small group including the ancient Joshua, leaned against a nearby tree and simply nodded, taking out some dried food from his satchel, "I would prefer to eat my prepared food, sir." As he ate he scanned nearby trees and brush for any movement, prepared to launch into combat should the need arise. "I share the elf's question, when will our familiar be gained?"

Nickolaus Schulze

Name: Nickolaus Schulze
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Race: Human
Appearance: About 5'11 , Nickolaus has a generally thin body, but not unhealthily so. His limbs are long, but proportional to his body. He currently wears most of what the Schulze family's traditional hunter garb is, A dark gray button vest over a light gray long sleeved collared shirt with long dark gray pants and dark brown boots, along with a black bandanna over his mouth and nose(He lacks only the mantle and mask of his families garb). His dirty blonde hair can be seen as he wears no hat.

Bio: Nickolaus is a full blooded human, his family has a long tradition of hunters. Passed from parents to the eldest child for many generations, the Schulze family has a history of specializing in the hunting of former hunters, ones who have become beasts through extended contact with the plague or even those who have simply gone insane from the hunt. Strong believers in that the most dangerous beasts are those that were once their hunters the Schulze family has their personal early training for their children. Largely secretive, the parts that are not kept secret are highly unorthodox, and even include such strange activities like placing the child in a cage with a heavily wounded beast and a knife. Some say darker, more abhorrent practices are included into the training, but the guild has never discovered hard evidence of such, and the skill of Schulze hunters is more than enough reason for the slightly unorthodox early training to be tolerated.
Nickolaus is the newest Schulze hunter (obviously) and has taken up the family tradition. He is considered rather aloof, especially for a human, but the Schulze family have always been secretive. He does not speak of his youth to anyone outside the family so his personal history is largely unknown. Despite this, it IS known that the family as a whole believe Nickolaus may be the most talented hunter of the family in a long time. (His history is meant to eventually come out in the RP, hope that is ok, I am willing to pm it to LHG if he wishes to know it)

Personality: Incredibly aloof, Nickolaus is a largely inward looking person. It is not hard to mis-construe his quiet demeanour towards others as being cold or cruel, and the fact he is quite prideful of his family makes him seem quite haughty. Despite this, once befriended he becomes far more friendly, and loyal. However, Even his closest friends will have trouble getting him to ever talk about his family in any other way than the proud hunter tradition it is known for.
