You know I wish the american public school system taught more on other countries and continents. I know nithing about Australia. Except for this strange "stay in school don't slack off" commercial from there that's gone viral. Very disturbing, know what I'm talking about at all, anyone? Anyway...lol

Anyway I really dont know much. It looks beautiful from the pic.
Kiara didn't leave with them yet right, after saying she wanted to go? Rick will kick her out for saying so. Then they'll all drive away ;)
bahaha oh Sam. He's funny.
btw, Rick's question is open to all the shifters in the pack. This is your time to speak up if you want to follow Jaii, not just Sam.
I KNOW!! I'm so ready to get to the real plot and bring everyone together! There will be a lot to work out among themselves...

*sigh* And by the sound of things, I'm going to have a ton of time to write. Dang this stupid freakin weather. My archery team has a huge tournament this week and I've had to cancel practice every day this week cause of the ice. Or "freezing rain" as they call it. On one hand, I have more free time, I guess, and I stay up later. But still. So sick of the cold... Anyone else experiencing it? :(
Vera smiled, giving her a small nod. "You're pretty young to have already found your mate, but congratulations all the same. I get what you're saying...I wish I knew how Jaii was. All I know is he's alive. I guess that should be enough for now," she said, wishing they had a stronger bond. That wouldn't happen for a long time, once love and been poured into their relationship and she'd fulled given in to it.

"I can't just sit here much longer though, I'll tell you that much. If you're the healer, Jaii might need you. I have a feeling by the end of all this studying will be the last of our worries."
Panic coursed through Luke as he felt the jaws of Jaii close around his thick neck. Before he could even think to beg for mercy a pain like no other came and his howl of agony became a choked, gurgled noise. His entire body fell limp against the bloody grass beneath them as he lived out his last moments, unable to make another sound. He didn’t even have the energy to shift, though his body would surely make the change for him once death had arrived.

“What the hell!” Rick yelled, tears in his eyes out of anger and grief. He hadn’t gotten involved because frankly, there hadn’t been enough warning. Besides, Jaii meant business and he feared for his own life. Even right now he was afraid of what the alpha’s son might do next. He could not be Beta under this shifter, he wouldn’t. He had to convince him to leave…

“You killed your own father! You’re insane!” he screamed, taking a single step forward and looking from Sam, some of the others that had gathered around, and back to Jaii. “Nobody here wants you as Alpha, Jaii, you’re clearly not stable!” There were a few murmurs of fear and agreement from the lesser pack members, ones who had gathered to see the fight but sent their children back to their rooms. “I’m taking charge of this pack. You’re banned from our territory, and anyone who doesn’t agree with that can leave with you! I won’t have you endangering our family, Jaii,” he said, pointing toward the long road that led to the gate. “I swear if you’re not gone within the next five minutes I’ll call Vera’s father,” he said, “see what he says about all this, you and her.” That threat surely made him lose Vera for good, but it was worth it. He was becoming Alpha of this pack, and that was all that mattered. He had power.

Rick ran to his brother’s body as it began it’s change, leaving a mangled male body that made the scene look even worse. “Get out of here, Jaii Talon. I swear if you’re not gone within the next five minutes me and the others will deal with you myself.” He looked at Sam, eyes narrowing. “What will you choose, hm? If you’re staying, get that healer out here now. Maybe…maybe he’s not gone. She should have been out here from the beginning, why did you send her away?” he screamed, sadness making him yell even louder.
So I hope you guys are okay with me just leaving Luke's wife out of all this, and maybe mentioning later she died from perhaps depression or something, losing her mate and son. I thought about her coming along but turning "rouge" (going crazy because of the mental battle of losing her mate and being with her son that killed him), and someone being forced to put her down, but it's too much for me to add in, I have enough to with Luke and Vera. So we're just gonna slip in mentions of her, that cool?
eh, I don't think that size really matters, it more depends on who wants to be a leader and has those types of skills maybe?

edit: when it comes to being alpha and enforcer it's probably good to be big, but as for who needs to be bigger, I'd say it doesn't matter. A big guy may not want to lead a pack, even if he could take down Luke or Jaii.
Harper shrugged, the idea of sharing a tent where she could hear the boys right in the next room not terribly appealing, but it was the best option. Besides, listening to them right now they seemed pretty funny. This trip might prove amusing afterall. "I wish I could bring my guitar to play when we're out there, but that would probably be way too much to carry, huh? Some way more important things to worry about. " Like food, clothes...ugh, clothes. Did she have enough outfits that were camping appropriate? Surely so.

The question of where they were going had her wondering too. Harper looked at Lyn for an answer as she took a few steps to the side, grabbing a can of bug spray off the shelf.
