Ace turned her head slowly to each side, and let out a heavy sigh. No blood. Good. But that fall hurt like hell. It had taken a few minutes for her to regain the wind that was knocked out of her. The short, quick breaths slowed to a regular pace and she managed to roll over to her stomach and push herself up to her knees. Ace caught sight of Inadi and Leila collapsed on the ground and the monster fried. She gave an out of breath laugh and grinned. "Good job guys. We did it." She looked over at Harper and smiled, putting a thumbs up before heaving a sigh and standing to move closer to Leila and Inadi.
She lifted strands of Leila's hair curiously, noticing her unconscious form. "Poor girl is worn out." Ace leaned over to see Inadi and saw the same thing. "Heh, you guys were awesome." She decided to fall with them and lay on her back. "Hehe, you are awesome too Harper." Ace giggled and sighed. "I think we can take a well needed break. Not like we have a choice though." As they all laid there in silence, Harper spoke up in question. She laughed and looked at him. "Of course they're okay! You have to trust them. You're going to worry yourself to death if you don't. And yes, once we get out this cave we'll regroup and find the dragon!" Her excitement simmered down, being courteous to the ones that may have hit their head a few times and didn't need too many loud sounds.
Soon enough, Ace decided to sit up again and face the others. Her laying there in "peace" didn't last very long. With a somewhat serious, but more concerned look, she spoke. "So is everyone okay? No broken bones or anything right?" Even the hyperactive girl still cared to make sure that her newfound friends were okay. And surprisingly, she managed patience even though she was once again ready to go forward- with injuries and all.
That gif made me laugh. That entire post did too.

"So is that a yes? You two are gonna get married?"
Vincent's eyes widened for a brief moment and he felt his cheeks warm up. The reddening of his face made him look off to the side and scratch the back of his head. Luckily, Kiara turned her attention to Mary. Though Kiara's little explanation didn't help his embarrassment. His face stayed the same shade of red as they continued. He wasn't planning on adding his two cents to the conversation, in fear that he may make it worse.
"Uh, Kiara... She's Death. Her threats can be-" The two obviously weren't listening to him. And then it was time for Mary to depart. With a smile, Vincent gave a two finger salute. "Nice meeting you two Mary. Although, I don't want to see you too soon." His eyebrow raised towards the advice, but before it could be questioned, the girl was gone.
The tint in his cheeks was still there, and seeing Kiara's look of embarrassment mad him cough awkwardly. After a second, he managed to compose himself. Again, before he could try to respond, or before she could finish, an angry mob appeared.
"I guess that's what she meant."
"Kill the demons!"
"Don't let them escape!
"Hurry!"
"Looks like we'll be staying together for a bit longer. At least till the next town. What do you say, partner?"
Vincent wasn't getting much time to talk now was he? The click of the shot gun had him turn quickly and grab Kiara's hand. "Time to go!" He ducked his head when the gun was shot. "They're kind of mad... Bad shots though." Vincent pushed Kiara ahead and turned toward the mob. "To slow them down at least." He took three quick shots. Two broke weapons and another hit someone in the knee making them fall. "Eh, sorry." He fired three more warning shots and turned to catch up with Kiara.
"I'm pretty sure once we hit the border, they'll stop chasing us. Hopefully." He said with a new found energy to run from a mob.
