"I suppose you're right." Aoba said, really only talking about how the girl enjoyed his wings. He didn't think he still gave off energy as a fallen angel. Maybe he just didn't know it because he was around Kuro so much. Well, it was nice to know that some still believed in his innocence as an angel. "Well, she was a baby. They don't know what's right from wrong just yet... unless, you've been around me too much." The thought of a demon becoming pure was ridiculous to Aoba- and nonetheless it made him giggle. He looked at Kuro, trying to imagine him with fluffy white wings, a halo, and maybe a hazel eye color instead of red. "Hehe, you'd be a. . . Rather nice looking angel." Aoba laughed, only half teasing.

He was in charge of grabbing fruits, and he refrained from pouting when Kuro left him on his own. It wasn't a hard task. Just grab some fresh fruit, and then go back to Kuro. For some reason, the humans always decided to seek if Aoba needed help. It made him wonder if he looked like a lost child or something. "Do you need any help sir?" Aoba blinked, holding a bag of grapes. The young woman that asked held a curious expression, almost as if she was eager to help him. She moved closer and gave a smile.

"Oh, um, no. No thank you." Aoba shook his head, and noticed the disheartened look in the her eyes. And almost immediately he felt bad- because it was Aoba. He didn't know why she wanted to help so bad, but he decided to let her. . . Although he would've appreciated it if the human didn't stand so close to him. "A-Actually. I guess- um, could you help me find fresh strawberries? I didn't see them anywhere."

"Oh! Of course!" She led him to the right place and he grabbed the ones that he thought were the most fresh. Aoba said a soft thanks and the employee grinned. "Of course. And if you need any help, any at all just ask me!" Aoba nodded and turned away as she winked. When he did turn, he spotted Kuro coming towards him and he heaved a sigh.

"Um, here you go. I tried to make it light as possible." Aoba put his additions to the basket and followed him to a line. It was longer than the last store they were in, but then again, there weren't that many people. The fallen angel wasn't sure why the humans were so odd to be around to him. It wasn't like they were bad or anything they were just. . . Different from what he was used to. He stayed quiet in line and waited for their turn to pay for the items.
Starla and Finn look up at Harper with similar expressions of curiosity. The story already sounded like it would be a bit of a shock by how he seemed to become a little more somber in attitude. Then he made them promise not to be sad, which made the siblings look at each other before both nodding to Harper. Finn couldn't really promise not to be sad. He was a sensitive soul sometimes, so he couldn't help when he got sad over things. But both now wanted to hear his tale so they nodded and listened attentively. Starla planned to catch every word, every detail, and the reason to his rank. If she never paid attention before, she was definitely doing so now.

Not having anywhere to go any time soon, Harper leaned against the wall. Once the siblings got comfortable, he gave a nod and started his tale. "As you can see, I'm a Dream. So I'm less 'human' looking if you will. Unlike, you two, I was created by a little girl. My job was to protect her from, as she always said, 'those naughty little creatures that tainted her fun'- nightmares. Well, day by day I protected her, and then one day... she forgot about me." As she got older, the girl had new nightmares to worry about, older human problems. Not just silly monsters and the regular games. Harper had tried to convince her that he could still protect her, but he was pushed away. "At first, she took my voice. She said.. rabbits don't talk. And soon after...she got rid of me. But I had been so vivid a dream that I was casted off."

He remembered the night he woke up and instead of being in his normal home, he was stuck in the real world. It was raining and he was lost. "I wandered until one of the realm jumpers found me. Thankfully it was a dream minion. She took me in and reported me to Lord Enasi and he welcomed me as if I had always been home." He remembered the feast they had in his honor, all because he was a new member of the realm. "They learned that I was a protector in the girl's dream, so the second in command before me of course took me in. He was a Dream minion. One of the first I had seen. He was a true knight." Harper sighed gently.

"Skipping over detail- I trained as hard as I could to impress the ones who found potential in me. I worked hard until I was on the front lines with the best of the best. But one battle with the Nightmare Realm, they snuck up behind him... I was," He paused as the memory seeped in. "I was too slow. And I couldn't help him." It was something no one would expect to hear from the fastest dream or dream minion on foot. He skipped more detail, skimming over the sad parts- although his saddened expression didn't help too much. "Lord Enasi told me that I was recommended by him. He told Lord Enasi that he trusted me to protect the realm under him. So, he declared me second in command. It was an honour, and a shock... But I'm upholding my promise. And as long as our guardian trusts me and as long as I'm still able to breathe, I vowed to keep this place safe and live up to that recommendation."

With that, he was done with his spill. He stood straight, planning to leave it at that- but he decided to at least wait to see if they had questions or things they wanted to say.

Instead of the darkness he was use to, a faint glimmer of light appeared. Already, their world was talking form. The stars appeared and he felt the soft touch of the grass underneath him. His attention turned to a soft fluttering or flapping noise.

"Whoa..."

He breathed and took in the sight of the multitudes of sheets. It was a jungle of cloth. The gentle breeze urged him to go forward and he walked closer. He stopped and reached up, looking at a pure white feather that landed on his head. The color contrasted almost perfectly, and he gently blew it away to float. The countless other feathers and petals made him laugh gently, and all he could do was let them fall.

Now, where is that Nightmare?

He looked around, deciding to take his chances in the maze. He wandered inside, smiling as the occasional breeze would cause soft cloth to brush his skin. "Oh Seishu. . .? Where are you?" Was he playing hide and seek again? Well, no matter. He continued to wander, pulling at the sheets gently as he did.
Fox said Welp, the Kraken pirates sure are screwed.

*Haven't seen How to train your dragon 2* But I will!

Ace laughed as Jasper stammered in defense. It was smart of her to change the subject, especially with Ace. Because she immediately went on to the next subject. "The queen is most definitely hiding something. Good or not. I think she's up to no good. But, I haven't known the queen as long as you guys have." To the guides, she added. "But you never know, she could be hiding stuff from you guys too."

Getting a little sneak peek at the life of Riley made her smile. It left room for her own imagination. Not everyone had some nice little home with a picket fence and a nice dog to accompany them, with a partner at their side. She wanted to know how they lived their lives on a typical day for them. But she didn't want to ask. Especially with some of them having sad and personal things going on. She didn't want to bring up any sad stories.

Hearing Songbird and Avian argue made her laugh so she turned around and stuck her tongue at both of them. "You're both buuurds! Deal with it." It was right around the time Riley called them mature and it only made her laugh again. Nice to have some upbeat energy despite such a dreary event.

Seeing the Stone of Sacrifice didn't phase her just as usual, and she continued forward. It looked like a regular stone- well minus the creepy backdrop addition. "I'm pretty sure if they were hiding the baby dragon, they would have him locked up somewhere. Or, in a pot. He's made of clouds so a simple cage wouldn't really work. I don't think he'd be in plain sight- but if he is... it's probably a trap. Normally when people are kidnapped, they're used as bait. From what I know, the last time someone was kidnapped it was a trap...As soon as the people went to retrieve said kidnapped- weapons! Weapons, everywhere-." She realized she had been rambling and not paying attention to the conversation at hand.

"Um. . . Basically we should be careful." Ace whistled softly and turned on her heel to keep walking. Hearing about Jasper's plan, Ace shook her head. "That's a terrible idea going off by yourself." Ace bounded to her side in a few quick steps. "We're a team. You should at least have some to help you. Always for just in case purposes. Maybe Avian since he's more experience orrr...well me!" She looked around at the scenery. "Besides, Fluff might be in the house over there." She offered her assistance, although she more than likely wouldn't take no for an answer.

The hut didn't look too large, so it would be easier to search through. Unless it was larger on the inside- which could've been possible with the work of witch magic. Her direction turned to the hut and she decided to walk that way. "Of course, it would be nice if one of our guides could tag along. You know, as our 'adult supervision'." She smiled. "The more the merrier?"
Thanks for mentioning it Groth. I thought he was going to leave at firsr and I thought, "Noooo, even though it'll be hard for you to just leave when they get to Waterdeep."

*thumbs up to the song*

Ha, and I'm glad you all are excited. I've already worked up a post, so you don't have to wait- well, you have to wait for everyone to post, but you won't have to wait for me!
Aoba followed closed to Kuro, not wanting to get in others' way. He paused for a brief moment as he felt the AC kick in. "That feels nice." He would've stayed longer, but he would've blocked traffic. So, he stayed by Kuro's side, eyeing all the packaging on the shelf. There was a lot of things there he had never heard of, and some of the stuff in the cans or on the pictures didn't look very appealing. But, Kuro never picked any of it. "I mostly ate fruits when I wanted to refuel. I guess the veggies and all the other won't be so bad." The idea of carrying too much made him stick his tongue out. "Good idea. Carry light as possible."

He stepped backwards as he looked at all the fruits and vegetables in the much cooler section. "It's so much cooler in here..." He sighed and looked over at Kuro. "We should get one of these cooler things. They're really-!" He took a quick step forward when he felt a hand on his wing. Aoba refrained from panicking too much before he looked down and noticed a small child peering at him. Her eyes were wide in wonder and she reached out, not to him, but his wings. Aoba folded them and whispered. "Kuro, what's wrong with the little human and why is she over here?"

The small girl giggled and reached up to him. "Pretty! Pretty!" Aoba's gave a curious look as she pointed and smiled. The small child waddled forward and held on to Aoba's leg, reaching out to the wing.

"K-Kuro?" Aoba wasn't sure what to do, but out of instinct he carefully picked her up. "Where's your mama little one?" She peered over Aoba's shoulder and stared at Kuro with the same wide eyed expression. She wasn't afraid, and to prove it, she reached out to him. "I think she likes you?" Aoba was about to let Kuro get a closer look at the small child but was suddenly stopped.

"Samantha! Samantha!? Oh there you are! You scared mommy!" The woman snatched her child and looked at Aoba. "Thank you. She wandered off and I only turned my back for a second." Samantha was still smiling at both males before being pulled away by her mom. Aoba watched, waving as she went away and then turned back to the task at hand. They still had food to pick and carry.

"Well, that was...weird. Anyway," Aoba looked in the basket, poking at the things Kuro had already grabbed. Most of the stuff was fresh and organic. Other stuff were spices and the likes that had to be mixed with the other foods. He wondered if Kuro could cook all that stuff. It wouldn't have been too bad if he couldn't. They could always. . . Well, Aoba couldn't survive off of just fruit. He had to remember that. "Is this everything for the time being? It looks like a lot. Hopefully it doesn't get too heavy."
