Use the pornographic scroll to bandage your wounds. (I'm not sure this would actually work, but it's literally the only idea I have, other than stripping a goblin of his clothes, cutting it up, and stopping the bleeding that way.)

- read the scroll aloud and hope the goblins find you exiting/entertaining
- cry/yell/scream loud enough for one of us to find you.
- attempt to stitch your wounds with the threat and a makeshift needle
- bandage yourself with goblin rags (if the dm is at least 60% distilled evil you will get an infection though)
- walk it off! try and tough trough it trough sheer will to live (he's been mortally wounded before)
- literally pray for a miracle
- find some herbs in the woods you remember from some old folksy remedy
- sell soul to unsavory outsider
- accept death and make a last stand against the horde
- wallow in self pity
- try and convince the bandits you are someone of importance to their boss and it's in their best interest to bring you in alive

MOTHERFUCK!

I just remember what we forgot to buy. Healing potions!

If it wasn't obvious, there will be consequences to each action you take, good or bad. If you save the barkeep or not may affect the story later on.

Ah, morals. Good thing Furnace is oblivious to those.

Elasticity: You're thinking of a slingshot, the sling David used was braided twine.
Leather: The leather portion of a sling is like 2x2 inches, I have a dagger and I can cut that much out of it without destroying the bag.
I can't make it: It's a matter of poking two holes in the leather square and pushing the twine through.

There's a dead bloke in chain mail next to you right? Unless it's the really expensive kind you can use your dagger to open the rings quite easily. Break out the 2x2 inch piece from that. You can tie the twine to the rings no problem.
should take less time and effort than leather in this situation.
Furnace struggled to catch Alulah's words over the roaring fire around him.
Did she call out Carver? Wasn't that the name of the iron friend?
Kid? Kid.. kind. kindle? Fire? Power is energy and energy burns. She must like the fire!
Maybe if he brought the fire over to him?

Most goblins and kobolts around him now seemed hesitant to get close to him, maybe they were done fighting.
He had collected plenty of material now anyways. He skipped over to Carver under his pile of violence.
He held the ball of heat above him, as if planning to meteor hammer it down upon them. Those that could scattered, those that couldn't were damaged and distracted enough for Carver to dispatch them with ease.
But Carver did look worse for wear, there were dents, tears and cuts in both his armor and body.
As Carver sat on his knees on the ground Furnace could stand before him eye to eye and speechless.
Though all carver would see was a silhouette blotting out a large ball of of intense heat above him.
When Furnace moved closer the metal started to soften up a little, he took care not to bring the fires above them too close.
Such a beautiful work of art shouldn't be reforged. With the metal soft and pliable Furnace hammered some quick fixes, kept it from falling apart. Decent repair would come later. The creature within the armor needed repairs more.

With a deep breath Furnace reached out and upwards to the orb ablaze as it slowly turned brighter, paler. yellow turned to white, red turned to gold. With a crackling sound of lightning the orb reduced in size as two coils of white golden energy siphoned out, trough Furnace's hands and surging into Carver. Furnace breathed slowly as he converted all the heat into positive energy. As the flames around them died down and the glowing circle blinked out of existence Carver felt a warm glow spread violently trough his body. His wounds slammed shut and his fatigue ebbed away. All the pain replaced with excess energy, like he had eaten a cart full of sugar directly after a long nap.

"Hello again, friend."
<Snipped quote by Dragonbud>

Assume that all the goblins are dead and the kobolds are either horribly crippled or managed to avoid damage

Then it's time to go help Carver.
In the most visually dramatic way possible.
@akjeFurnace can make more crossbow bolts right? They are solid metal anyway.

I think these two will get along nicely.

If we survive this mayhem, there's enough materials around to make enough bolts to outfit a small army.
pornographic scroll named "Succubus Monthly"

hahaha

Is there a folded poster of Suki in there?
Furnace clapped gleefully as the beam plowed trough rows of assailants.
Enthusiastically he regarded the battlefield, not quite understanding it, why it was happening.
But it sure was impressive, he had never seen so many materials before, so many new discoveries.
New ways of energy flow, new ways of acquiring ingredients, food.
He could smell scents similar to the food he was served before, it came from the fires, or specifically the burning creatures.
So Furnace had a new theory where food came from. Burned flesh.

Running at him at full speed was another wave of humanoids. Clad in flesh, leather and steel and screaming loudly.
They fell over as they got shot with bolts, so that's what that those were for.
Furnace wanted to share his findings with the girl, he wanted to experiment with the new things he'd learned.

”Oi, kid! Fight ‘em back from us! We are going to need some time!”

Furnace took his time to reply while he concentrated on a torch lying on the ground in the path between them and the approaching horde.
The flickering light of the fire reflected warmly and chaotically in his deep jet black eyes.
"So sorry, friend. This fighting thing is interesting, but with all these components before me I can't resist to take advantage..."
He dropped the blade beside him and as he threw his palms forward he let energy flow freely forwards.
"And forge!"
The moment the flow of power hit the fire it erupted into a tower of fire and flame.
With a flick of his wrists the tower concentrated to a white hot ball that hovered amidst the now scorching bodies.
Kobolts and goblins screamed in horror as their skin cracked, their eyes boiled, their clothes burned and their steel melt.
In full concentration Furnace drew his small smiting hammer and stepped forwards. The smell of ash and liquid metal comforted him.

With the fires of the furnace remaining in front of him he walked calmly forwards, the fires consuming everything in his path to fuel itself.
A few goblins in chain circled round the fire and charged him. Furnace stepped back a little so the fire came closer to their path, as the metal started to melt they cried in agony, Furnace stepped in and hit one of them in the chest with the hammer, sundering the mail and hammering partially molten metal into his solar plexus. Another tried biting trough the burning pain and stabbed at him with a spear. A nimble sidestep and a kick to the brittle charcoal staff sent the top of the spear flying and raining drops of liquid steel on any other contenders.

A dangerous smile appeared on Furnace's face as he danced around his furnace and spun around whilst smashing everything that got in range.
A smile that said this was his element, his domain.
Martin had taken but a single step before the vampire snapped at him.
Immediately he spun around and bowed deeply.

"My tongue naturally. You are unarmed sir, not that it matters.
As to answer your question as to who I am, and to why I am here.
I am not an infiltrator but a massager, I would have made my presence known.
But it seemed... impolite at the time.
But I assure you I never attempted, nor will I attempt to deceive you, as it would be futile. Wouldn't it?"

Those last words came with a playful smile directed at Llusia and sounded slightly mocking.
As if making fun of Bedivere for his distrust.

"I am the mouth and hand of a collector. The collector has taken interest in securing the blade your friend presented the council with tonight. An interesting piece of evidence that has served his purpose. A dangerous weapon too unpredictable to not have contained.
A bargaining chip you can trade. As is my structural integrity, I am well aware of that. But you'll find I have plenty of chips to trade."
