..aaaaand, you're up to speed.
Guess what? The mountains have free wifi!
I can post from time to time.
Not often though. So I made a long one ^^

Had to make a good entrance for Algon. I think he came off intimidating enough, I had to top Charlie by miles off course.

For those who are confused, the voice in Ciskel's head was Algon's mind manipulation.
The mind control ain't absolute, mainly because that would make for a crappy story. Strong minds can fight it.
I suggest Shu being able to shrug the suggestion effect without too much trouble. It should be pretty intimidating though, especially to a dragon. Plus it's a good suggestion. ;)

BTW the reason he ignores the fight between Ander and Drake is because he is confident that part of the plan will work out and he doesn't want to let on that getting Drake killed was the main goal of the expedition. (but that's OOC information, will be fun when you figure that shit out.)
With a slow stagger Charlie moved over to to Ris as she collapsed to the ground, he knew he probably had one more nuke in him.
He grasped her by her throat and weakly lift her up as he pulled his other fist back for another punch. Then hesitated.
For a few seconds they stood there motionless. It seemed like an eternity to him and probably her.
Maybe it was because he had just taken another step into the abyss of madness, or maybe it was one step out of it. But he let her loose.
From his pocked he conjured a small communications lacrima. "Let's fight again sometime." He coughed before falling backwards into the sand with a satisfied smile on his face.
Chaos all around him, Ciskel had trouble deciding what to do. Should he help Ris, Drake and Cecilia, Eli or should he figure out what happened to Life.
He never thought she'd actually kill her, the face-heel turn scared the crap out of him. Was this the same shy little girl asking for advice at his door?

"Go all out. Kill everyone!"

A voice spoke in his head. This threw him off even more, that wasn't his voice was it?
Ciskel lost control, he had no idea what was going on and he hated it. It frightened him.

"Kill everyone!" The voice whispered again.

"Get out of my head!" Ciskel shouted as he let his power run rampant, turning everything nearby completely and absolutely weightless.
For a moment the world went dark. He felt a small projectile bounce of his face like a small piece of paper, acompanied by a loud bang. And followed by a large object lightly touching him. As he opened his eyes he saw the golem drifting upwards, as well as Life, Jared, Klaus, several chunks of earth and even the dragon.
They were gaining altitude with rapidly increasing speed. Lighter than air
He fucked up and he knew it, he'd swore to himself he'd never do this.
With all his concentration he returned everyone else to half their weight until they touched the ground, after that he returned them to normal. He set himself still in the air at an altitude no one could reach him and then passed out.
Algon stepped forward from the rubble, he'd taken Jenifer's portal and was ready to walk in and sweep up.
"So you are surprised they all haven't torn yourselves apart? We'll I think I can explain that." Algon said to Life with a condescending slime. He paused.
Behind him marched the lifeless body of Anthos. Her arms hung limp beside her body and here eyes were scorched out, but she moved. Silently she stood behind Algon.
"Everything that happened here went according to my plan... well almost everything" He casually pointed towards Anthos.
"Let's wrap this up. Jared! Count our losses and drag the survivors trough the door, I left it open for you."
Jared knew that opening the door and moving in personally meant that Algon just got serious, this was bad.
"Klaus! You are done here, I'll take it from here." Algon continued, he stared down Shu and whispered in a voice made of ice:
"Dragonslayer Magic: Suggestion: You should go and protect your key-bearer."

"As for you... 'Life'... I'm short one twin now. I am both very pissed and very proud. So you are coming along with me."
His voice, weaved with magic, made it clear he wasn't making a suggestion. His words were as written in stone.
"Well I suppose we could stand here and observe then." Ciskel mused while he fine tuned the weight on Cicila's blades, trading a bit of hacking power for the speed of paper daggers. They were probably slicing weapons anyways.
"Shall we make a deal that we won't intefere with attempts to bring the wounded away from the battlefield then? Plus if one of these two loses control..." He stared at Eli and Klaus, who were getting progressively more scary.
Charlie tried to reply "You smell like bac-" But was interrupted by Ris coming his way a whole lot faster than expected.
In a split second he had a choice between barely dodging the roots that where on collision course with his chest, or grabbing her again.
He took the latter. He let Ris get close and took a full hit from the roots. He could feel his ribs straining under the force, pain surged trough his body.
But Charlie was very used to pain.
With great effort he clamped his arms around the roots and let himself be pushed over. Both of them fell over back into the crater.
Halfway trough the drop he stomped his heel in the edge of the crater, causing them to spin around. Ris would land flat on her back and he would land on top of her.
Ciskel was pondering the thought of breaking his promise to go help Life out, he couldn't see what was going on up there but by the sound alone it sounded dangerous.

He was interrupted by this thought by the sudden appearance of the massive golden dragon he could only assume was Shu.
It was both beautiful and terrifying at once and Ciskel wondered why he didn't use this every time, why he wouldn't even use this against Zeref.
When he looked at Eli he saw the reason. There was a darkness in his eyes. Did the keys have an influence on the holder?

"So the two of us aren't fighting. I'm fine with that. I can assume however that we are locked in duel together?" He asked to Jared.
"Since as soon as I take my eye off you to meddle with any of these battles you'll attack me in the rear? I'd probably do the same." He continued, measuring how much of his attention should go to Jared and how much could be spared on keeping an eye on his surroundings.
"Well, Klaus went and managed to piss off our little key bearer. I'm not mad though, look at that! If the kid survives I need you to try and recruit him. Especially if Klaus doesn't." Algon kept sending commentary from his observatory. A fresh glass of wine in his hand.

He looked down at Jenifer who had fallen asleep next to him. "Hmmm, maybe..."
Charlie crawled up out of the crater. Skin and muscle rapidly regenerating. His clothes took quite a bit of damage, even though he had Jared make them shock resistant (they don't stop fire or shock waves, they just survive them.)

He spat some blood on the ground and picked up his flags. They were shattered beyond repair so he dropped them.
"So now you've seen up close what I got sweetheart. Why don't you show me yours?"
Charlie made a flirtatious gesture waving Ris closer, then braced himself for whatever might come at him.
A stupid move, but then again, he wasn't known for being a tactical genius.

Well the pit had to be big enough to fit Ris when I put her on a new board (unless she got knocked off of it again) and then the pit had to be big enough to fit her and Charlie and he may've been wrapped around her but think of it as Cilia's obsidian case. Its basically a second skin and she was already planing on using that before that even happened. Also she did get hurt. She only had a few seconds to put up the skin so it burnt a part of her shirt and pants and her skin so she didn't escape uninjured but I had initially wanted ONLY Ris in the hole so she could patch the wound in her side so she wasn't bleeding as bad since both healers are in different battles. I'm not trying to GM Ris but I now realized from you pointing it out that it is kinda like I'm GMing Ris just a bit. I really need to get a second magic for Ris though because she seems more vulnerable with just her Dragon Slayer magic which if you haven't noticed she doesn't use much.

Alright, well you didn't post about getting hurt so I didn't know that. The post came off as her coming out of that hole completely unscathed.
As for planning ahead, It makes the story sound cooler if you post those things. Write down your characters plans and it doesn't seem broken. It also sounds cooler when characters in combat brace themselves for attacks, try and guess opponents tactics and powers, prepare to react with shields, etc.

Oh and the hit in her side with the pole was just a painful jab to knock the wind out of her. On a normal person it would make a nasty bruise the next day. Nothing compared to the explosion. I didn't mean for that to be a heavy wound.

As for the extra magic, I'd suggest sticking to just dragon slayer magic for now. I thought you were holding back all this time really. It's one of those powers that can be insanely powerful if you use it creatively enough. I'd at least suggest eating some dirt ;)

"Now that I've eaten I'm all revved up!"
I look over my shoulder at Ashley for a second. Nah, killing isn't part of the deal.
"I harbor no feelings of hatred towards anyone right now..."
I take the doll into my hands. I can feel dark magics crawl all over it. A slight shiver runs over my spine and my eyes go obsidian.
"But I desire this puppet nonetheless. Would you like to make a deal with me? Surely I have something that you desire?"
I get closer to the witch while my fingers run over the seams of the doll. Reluctantly I give the doll back to her.

Ris had made a protective shell around herself when Charlie exploded and used the momentum to shoot herself up out of the ground. She went up into the air a few feet and once she got down onto the ground she rolled and stared at the spot she just came from.

Now, I don't mean to be difficult. But Ris didn't know about Charlies explosive ability.
Even if she did, there isn't any time to react to a pointblank explosive.
Even if there was, there wasn't any room for a shield that would stop an explosion. Charlie was wrapped around Ris, and he ain't letting go, not even after the blast.

I'm not saying this has to be lethal. I'm not here to kill other player's characters.
But it was a 100% hit chance in this case. And a blast that would kill most wizards. Or outright disintegrate a commoner.
Take the hit.

Ok, I really should be going to bed now..
Finished? Oh that's right, the witch who wouldn't dance seemed like she was sewing something.
What is it.. some kind of doll. Looks pretty cool. I notice her pride.
"Now hold on and think about what it is you want to show me and how you expect I am going to react to that." I say to Ashley in a condescending tone.
Ashley confuses me and it's making me uncomfortable.

I walk over to the girl in the corner and lean forward to look at the doll up close. "It's beautiful..."
With a practiced friendly smile I raise my head to bring it to eye level. I carefully raise a hand and ask "Can I see it?"
A figurine handcrafted by a witch would be a pretty sweet present as well...
