As for Venator: Algon makes a point of taking very good care of his guild members (Except for the young-bloods of course, hard to keep track of all those idiots. Ha!)
So he's probably on the bottom of the list of chores you get for punishment. Some poor smuck with a red shirt is going to have the worst day of his life.

A thousand eyes glow deep in the darkness of her skin with a blood red shine. These eyes stare deep into your soul and see all your petty mortal secrets.
From these eyes comes the hive. From the world she holds within. The endless souls she holds crawl and soar trough and around her. Each mind part of the greater, all part of her.

Well i'd like to think Sonitus and Ander are Algon's main source of information. Aside from the mind powers. which i'd like to keep as vague as possible. Because the specific science behind his magic is not related to the plot in any way.
