Charlies eyes were shining. He had been so caught up in staring at the arcane contraption Jared had built, that he hadn't noticed any part of the conversation. He hadn't noticed Algon leaving either. He hadn't noticed the bed being made. He certainly hadn't noticed Ris. All he was thinking about was whether or not Algon would allow him to blow this work of art up once they were done with it.
It's a day's train ride from Magnolia and whatever city the pegasus guild is from.

But the portals will lead you directly to most cities and the insides of most government buildings :)
You can simply walk into the portal at HQ and step out of a kitchen cupboard in the jailers cafeteria.
Ciskel landed with a sigh "I can't find anything here other than that it's supposedly very powerful."
Several books still floating around him he looked at Drake. "Let's just go home for now."
From this post on it's the new day.
The swarm covered all and blinded martin with a torrent of wings and claws. Wait. Blinded! Martin could see nothing but he didn't feel the insects presence right either. They were misplaced. Mithias was misplaced also, he wasn't flying above him, he was laying down nearby. A screen resisted his movements up. The clicking and buzzing of thousands of legs and wings continued. A horrific symphony of chaos, yet somehow in perfect harmony. Martin decided to match their movements and fly along. He came to understand their erratic patterns. When he found the place where Mithias had scorched the hive all he found was the torched air and the remnants of the immolated.
"I guess he woke up." Martin turned around to face the horde that followed him and stuck out his hands to meet them. Up on touch they shattered into small shrapnel.
With the shockwave Martin could feel he was close. Another shockwave sent the rest of the swarm scattered and broken.

The glass in Martin's capsule started to show cracks.
The little bald butler jotted down "Ribs. Bed."
Then ran off like his life depended on it.
"Excellent! Now all we need is two more guests." Algon grinned.
"If there's any problem with the catering I'm sure whatshisface will be happy to get you whatever you need."
Algon grabbed the scrawny waiter by the shoulder and shoved him forwards. The little butler fumbled with pen and paper.
"U-Uhm y-yes? W-what do y-you w-want?"
"That depends on your definition of humanity" Martin mumbled, looking up at his older brother ascend.
Perhaps it was time then. Time to wake up and live unlife. A slight rumble ran trough the ground. Cracks started to form in the earth and in what was left of the buildings.
We're waking up.
With an outward burst of energy shot dusty moth like wings, they sparked with blue flames as he steadily rose. Following his brother, drawn to the lights of the dark creature.
"Then what do we do when we arise? Will we fight or will we lie?"
haha
Idunno. kind of forgot about that.
But Martin and Mith are close to getting back up.
I wonder how Mith will react to Martins idea of sticking around in nightmare world.
