I tried not to fill it up with too much fluff,If there's a problem with it i'll do my best to change it. I just wanted to use the first post as a way to get my guy into the world somehow.
David’s vision blurred at first, but the evening light helped ease his awakening, as he awoke he felt the gentle rocking of the ocean waves and the sounds of a small radio near the steering wheel. “Where am I?” David asked, still looking around lazily. “Lost Haven, Maine. Where’d you come in from, a fishing boat further off?” The man asked as he helped David into an upright position, throwing a towel on him only a few seconds later.
“I don’t know where I came from, or how I got into the water. I don’t even own a boat” David replied as he rubbed his forehead. But I remember I don’t need a boat to get around.
“I’ll take you to a hospital to get checked up, what’s your name? I’m George Miller, and this is my son Thomas Miller.”
“I’m David Anderson Jones, David is fine though.”
“Well David, do you have any idea what it is you were holding on to? It doesn't look like any boat or raft I've ever seen.” The man asked as he pulled in the debris David had been floating on. Giving it a good once over, it looked like a piece of a larger part, like a wing or a fin. “No, I can’t really say what it is, if I ever knew.” David replied as George let go of the piece into the water. Vague images of a large whale or eel like creature flowed into his mind.
“Wow dad look at this!” Thomas yelled as he shoved his phone screen into his dad’s face. “Some weird hero just beat up this weird monster, which I could a seen it myself.” Thomas continued shoving it into his father’s face, and even David’s before pulling it back into his grasp. The picture Thomas was showing around was of a battle in the streets between a monster of some kind, and a green person. What kind of costume is that, and are weird monsters like that really so common? David thought to himself.
A few minutes after George began packing, all three of them had taken a seat in his truck. It looked like Thomas was being squeezed into the back. “I feel fine really; just drop me somewhere with a phone. I’m just wet is all, I have a friend in here in Lost Haven who I can call.” David spoke as he shifted slightly in the towel George gave him earlier.
“Well where is he, I’ll drop you off. With all these super powered fights going on I’d be a terrible role model if I just left you out on the street.” George offered as he stopped the car before a red light.
“Last time I checked he worked as a professor for the Lost Haven University.”
“We have time to make the trip.” George said as he signaled a turn, eagerly stepping on the gas. After a half hour of being lost and trying to get through the evening traffic, George finally found the university. Students walked about eagerly chatting with each other as they went from class or where on their way to leave. “Thank you for your help.” David uttered as he took off his borrowed towel, he was no longer dripping wet, but he still felt cold from his damp clothes.
David walked around campus looking for the archaeology college, for what seemed like hours, stopping the occasional student for directions. By the time he reached his destination it was full blown night time, only the most desperate of students were around by now. The door in front of David led to one of the few fellow archaeologists he had spoken too on his last visit, the sign next to the door read “Dr. Carmine Williams.” Making sure to knock on the door David entered, the man inside looked up, after checking his eyes Carmine began to speak stuttering at first. “D-David J-Jones, Is that really you? I heard you went missing last year, where were you?”
“A whole year, it’s been a whole year?” David blinked dumbfounded in response.
Character Personality: David is a patient, focused person, qualities driven into him by his long years studying archaeology, along with raising his daughter. At most times David tries fashion himself as a playful, talkative person who loves to prank others. Although he tries his best to seem ever joyful on the outside, he worries intensely about those closest to him. He drives his friends up the walls sometimes with his antics, but he likes to think they love him anyways, and their continued presence confirms it.

Origin Info/Details:
Dr. David Anderson Jones was an American archaeologist who made a name for himself after publishing several papers proving the existence of numerous other undiscovered ancient tribes. After spending several more years and participating in several guest lectures at universities, including Lost Haven University, David finally found the location of an ancient ruin left behind by one of said tribes in the deep forests of South America. Eager to discover what awaited him inside the newly found ruins David eagerly set off by himself.
After spending days navigating the forests, using his altered maps, he finally found what he had been looking for. The structure itself seemed like a small two floored pyramid, but the inside presented him with what seemed like a maze that went on forever. After a few minutes spent navigating the hallways a feeling began to call to David, a feeling he couldn’t ignore, following that feeling took him half an hour, but he finally made his way to a large room. The room itself was massive, paintings, scriptures, and all sorts of symbols adorned the walls around him. The centerpiece of the massive chamber held a large, almost rainbow colored, crystal which illuminated the entire room, waves of energy fell off almost like a heartbeat.
Upon touching the crystal David’s vision flashed to an entirely different scenario, a scene from the far past. A being pulsating with colors, similar to those radiating off the crystal, was floating above a battlefield of some kind. Various different looking tribesmen where flinging spears and arrows at each other and the being, suddenly lighting struck down onto every tribes’ weapons, destroying them in a violent light. The vision changed again to a scene of those same tribes, but this time they were eating together, and even dancing and drinking around the same crystal David was touching. Then the vision flashed onto modern day, with cars driving by, people walking past, and almost violently the scene changed again. This time there were no tribes celebrating, or people passing by, instead buildings lay in ruins, and the earth burned everywhere he could see.
“How..” David mumbled to himself, he then tried to pull away from the crystal with no avail, suddenly he heard a voice in his head “Danger comes. Change needed. Host needed.” Unable to pull away from the crystal David felt himself being swallowed. When he awoke he found himself exhausted and adrift in the ocean until a fishing boat drove by to pick him up. When they asked what happened David simply told them he didn’t remember, which wasn’t far from the truth as he realized he had a serious gap in his own memory. What he could remember were certain feelings, and vague memories of him fighting. From attacking poachers, to some kind of creature underwater, his memory was in patches.
Hero Type (Select one): Elemental (?)
Power Level (Select one below): World Level (With Cosmic Level potential)
Powers (Be Specific): PyroKinesis: David can generate his own super heated plasma, along with using raw geothermal energy from the Earth and nearby heat from the sun to help add to his own attacks. With this energy he can simply shoot it, or he can shape, and expel it in a variety of ways. He can even control flames outside his body, to draw in to use with his own flames, or to enhance an attack.
Lightning Kinesis: David can create or choose to manipulate Earth's own EM field by using his own ability over gravity to focus and bend electromagnetic waves into extremely high voltage electromagnetic energy for his use. David's control over lighting means he can form and control this energy in any fashion of his choosing, much like his Pyrokinesis.
Pseudo-Cryokinesis: If allowed enough time to absorb enough nearby heat David can chill the nearby area to freezing temperatures, enough to form ice even. But to do this effectively at his current skill level he must maintain physical contact with his target.
Gravitic Emulation: Having been granted a portion of Earth's power David also has some control over gravity. Although he is unable to control the level of gravity others feel he can alter the gravity in his close vicinity. Meaning he can add mass to incoming projectiles or other's fists at close range, allowing him to slow these attacks down and lessen their damage. Along with physical attacks, David's gravity powers can also affect light and energy attacks much like how gravity affects the bending of light. He can also use this to make himself heavier or lighter.
Solar Manipulation: By using his gravity emulation he can choose to manipulate only solar radiation around him, similar to how he can manipulate Earth's own EM field and light waves. In the same way he uses sun's heat to fuel a fire attack he can also choose to focus only solar energy into a form of fashion of his choosing.
Geokinesis: As Terra Firma, David can control the earth under him in any manner he wants. Meaning he can also control the size and form of the rocks he moves around. Aside from stone, and dirt David can also summon a specific mineral or crystal if need be.
Invisibility: Using his control over light with his gravity emulation he can bend the light around him, so that the light particles never touch him, giving him invisibility.
Supreme Durability: In his transformed mode David possesses high resistance to physical, magical, and energy attacks.
Agent of the Earth: Because of the Earth David has gained a super powered form, this new powered form is the personification of Earth's desire to defend itself. This form switches in with David's normal human form, replacing it with a body of energy, energy from the Earth's essence itself. This new body can feel soft like a persons body, but it is not flesh, nor does it have a need to breath. It's appearance is entirely due to David's unconscious mind, from the subtle 'breathing' motions, to the fiery energy flowing off him.
Meditative Chrysalis: If damaged or injured to a critical or near fatal point David can retreat to a chrysalis. But this is not instantaneous and therefore not usable in battle.
Flight: In his powered body he is capable of flight.
Earth-Mind: Due to the origin of his powers he retains a constant two-way link to the Earth, this link allows him to feel life around him, and attune himself to forces he couldn't as a normal human. This is also the evidence of the ever growing connection between the two.
Attributes (Select one at each category): Height: Human 6'1, Terra Firma 10'0(Variable?) Weight: 220lbs Strength Level: 100+ Tons Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 60 mph(Variable?) Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 2 hours Agility: 20x Intelligence: Above Average Fighting Skill: Untrained
Resources: Average
Weaknesses: David’s bonding with the Earth isn’t complete and as such has limited defense against a psychic attack, depending on the severity of the attack the Earth may choose to forcefully disengage the link to spare either it's user or itself. In certain scenarios the Earth may choose to assume control. He can also be beaten down by an attacker if they were strong enough.
If defeated in his transformed body David would be unable to transform again until he has healed properly.
When he is a normal human he can hurt and be killed just as easily as anyone else, if not more so due to his chosen morals.
Supporting Characters: Dr. Carmine Williams: A colleague and like minded spirit David befriended the last time he lectured at Lost Haven University.
Miller family: So far David has met two members, a father and son named George and Thomas, respectively. They are the family that fished him out of the water.
Sledge: Local small time hero, has named himself after a sledgehammer for obvious reasons.
Do you know how to post pictures on RPG boards?: I’ll find out soon.

“Wha-What is this?” David mumbled as he found his hands, no, his entire body had changed. The crystal in front of him had receded into the ground at some point, leaving only a freshly stirred mound in its place. Suddenly, as if answering his earlier question a vision flashed through his eyes, a volcano erupting, and then a scene of the Earth itself. “What’s that supposed to be, the power of the Earth? Is that what this is!” David shouted as he spun around the room, he was answered only by silence. “How do I undo this, turn me back, now!” David demanded, still talking to an empty room, his voice echoed for a second. “Bonding incomplete. Practice. Threat.” A feminine voice spoke into his head, flat, emotionless. Then another vision came into his head, this time it was a camp of unusually armed people chopping through branches with machetes. Then the image switched to some kind of room, caged animals, and syringes on the floor. “Poachers, is that what they are?” David asked, although he knew that whatever this was didn’t always answer him.
As soon as he exited it was almost as if he could feel where he needed to go, but not how far, deciding he might need to go far he immediately broke into a run. Immediately after starting his legs he almost fell over. “Whoa, so much faster.” David mumbled, sparing a glance at the surroundings shrinking behind him, and his own feet moving far faster than they ever did. After a few minutes of running he saw what the Earth had been pushing towards, a one story building of some kind with jeeps parked on the other side by the front. David could overhear voices on the other side, deciding to go in quiet for some information he held himself on the side of the building, covered by the jeeps. “-ck out this cool hardware, looks like we got the best gig sitting out here with these new guns.” A slapping sound could be heard a second later. “No, no we didn’t.” Someone else replied with a hint of annoyance.
“Wait, what’s with that glow over by the jeep, did you leave a flashlight on?”
“I don’t think so, but let’s check it out.”
The two men spoke; David could tell they were definitely getting closer from their voices and footsteps. “Damn, I forgot I’m a freaking lava lamp.” David whispered to himself as he glanced at his body, and I really don’t want to kill anybody. Lighting, from that vision I can use lighting somehow. David recalled the vision from earlier as he thought to himself. David sprung from his cover with a giant leap above the jeep and the two patrol men landing in front of the building itself, leaving a slight crater, expunging the displaced dirt around him in a cloud. Realizing he forgot something David chastised himself in his head. Uh oh, forgot to find out if I was bulletproof beforehand, way to go captain dummy.
“What is that?”
“Doesn’t matter, open fire!” The two guards who had spoken unleashed a hail of red beams on him. “The hell, these aren’t bullets!” David shouted as he staggered under their fire, in his panic he managed to shift his body to correctly allow the beams to redirect at the building and at the jeep behind the guards, the resulting explosion threw the guards forward in the air, landing just in front of David, and with a grunt they were both out. “I guess I don’t get to practice lightning today.” David whispered to himself, amazed by the destruction he inflicted purely on accident. Looking over at the building David spotting the hole burned through from earlier, squeezing through it David spotted a several cages stacked on top, it looks as though someone had stepped out before he could finish what he was doing. A stack of notes sat on top of a table, certain notes where separated from the others and a syringe was readied but unused, and the bio waste bin was empty. “Help the animals, that’s all you want right?” David questioned the entity from earlier, but was met with no response. David spent the better half of an hour carefully breaking open the cages and carrying the more injured animals deeper into the forest, just before he finished making off with the last one he could hear a car driving through the trees.
“Guess their friends were bound to show up.” David grumbled, drawing a perk from the cub in his hands. After setting down the cub momentarily he dug into the ground, lifting a sizable chunk, and tossing into the front of the building. Deciding he was satisfied with his rushed rescue he made off with the last cub, as he ran he didn’t notice he had begun to transform back into his human from again.
Alright well I've finished it up, please look when you have time. This is the first time I've done anything rp related in a long time so if you do have to giggle please just go easy.
Hi, I just wanted to pop in and say I'm writing up a character sheet as this seems like fun, I know that since this is open I could have just dropped a cs but I didn't want to seem like I was coming from nowhere.
This looks really good, if you guys are willing to have a plus one I would be interested. Although that too many robins rule is making me nervous, and you guys have someone in a mech, I gotta really think creative.
Jared stared in shock as the door busted open, allowing the robots all access into the room. No other way out! Jared began to slowly back himself towards a wall before a bright light began to swallow everything, Jared closed his eyes shut in response to the bright light.
A few seconds later he noticed a significant lack of metal clanging, and most fortunately, a severe lack of dying. Not that I'm complaining. However as he opened his eyes and ears he couldn't help but be overwhelmed by a sense of deja vu, like this had all happened before, and it became even more obvious as Josive began to repeat his panicked speech from before. Jared quickly picked up on it, and at the same time the other two tried to discuss the subject as well. "He doesn't remember but we do. The only thing we did differently from him was use those chambers down there. It's possible using those machines somehow helped us keep our memories." Jared whispered. I'm sure they know, but it doesn't hurt to make sure we're all on the same page. "Josive wait, just help us get into the computer!" Jared called after him, hoping to stall him, or bring back his memories somehow.
Jared quickly ascended the ladder, and looked around for something to do. Josive was busy doing who knows what on the computer, hopefully monitoring Aelita's progress, the sooner we finish the better. After listening to Flippy and his status update on Aelita Jared began to speak up. "Let's hope she remembers what to do." The boy then placed himself somewhere away from the door. I don't want to be near that when it falls.
