I thought rule one was not to talk about Fight Club?
Pepperm1nts said Just my two cents.

I look at it this way. If Outcast lets it happen, I don't really care. It's his game, his rules. If somebody wants to contest something with him, I imagine they would do what any roleplayer would when they disagree with the GM and contact him in private about it. If Outcast changes it, cool. If he doesn't, it's just as good. It's perfectly acceptable, if not preferable in most cases to voice (constructive) criticism and try to make sure that the game stays at least somewhat realistic. The problem is when people start name-calling, rehashing old news, and causing trouble for the sake of causing trouble. Not only is it disruptive but it's also frustrating. If I post something, I'm totally cool with people telling me that they disagree with what I did or how I did it. However, it's an entirely different story when somebody throws a bitch fit because they don't like the way something is done.

A little civility goes a long way, and I don't know why some people think that they're too good to be nice to somebody. Which is where almost all of these arguments start, somebody starts getting condescending, drawing in people to argue for or against a particular thing.

Only popping up to state that no one should respond to Peppermint!s statement as it will only ignite more conflict as this time. This issue is over with.

Potentially, but it is what it is.

He doesn't have to listen to you, you aren't the GM.^^

No, but he was trying to stop an argument before it broke out. I give him credit for that.

pffftThat's because you don't have colonies here.

Yeah. :[

Pasta! Let me have one of those Dutch islands after the war. I want to care!

@Ampharos: You're not my boss, landlord or significant other.

Which makes it okay to speak to somebody however you want? Because that person is not an authority figure or has a stake in your well-being?

Giant said A big "Haha" to Europe.

Europe doesn't care about you and your treaties. :P

Care to give an example of precisely what's been said that you don't agree with the tone of?

Weren't you the one who said I was functionally brain dead?

Well, if you go outside, chances are that it's going to be similar to this topic.

I don't know about you, but I spoke to my boss, landlord, significant other, anyone of relevance the same way that some people speak here, I'd probably be out of a job, house, and a girlfriend. Hell, walk into a bar and speak to somebody the way that some of us are talking. I promise you that you'd be leaving with a black eye.

God fucking damnit. Why do you bring back when Pasta made a big mistake? I mean he ruined GREAT BRITIAN, but hey it's just a "game" after all. Well, Nex can really say what he really wants to say. He can bitch at the fact that Brazil hasn't rebel since I freed the slave, or the fact that Victoria was crazy (either she wasn't and she made the British Empire even more strong until WW1). I'm just saying that he is allowed to say anything that he is feeling. and I think that Pasta made one of the dumbest and biggest mistakes within a WiR RP, but hey everyone makes mistakes after all. Right?

There's something called common courtesy. There's a fundamental difference between "I think this was way too unrealistic. Perhaps next time, you should consider X, Y, and Z..." and "You're completely fucking stupid. You are X, Y, Z, and I think you're ruining this game."

Like, holy hell. Some of you people need to go outside or something because this is no way that a normal person interacts with the world.

I wasn't the one to bring it up. Did you skip past the post I was responding to?

Did you skip past this part:

"Hence why I do not really look at past events as this is definitely an alternate history and the past as we know it has pretty much been thrown out the window and am enjoying it for what it is instead of nitpicking. I could nitpick for days about some of the decisions but why bother as this is fiction and for fun."

He mentioned it in passing. You decided to dedicate your post to it. For the love of all that is good, just let that Victoria thing die already.

The Tran-Siberian Railway, and even if parts of it are functional, half of it runs along the Chinese border. Russia is going to have a hard time bringing soldiers and supplies across Siberia, if it can at all. No matter how poorly developed either army is, superior numbers would logically win the day.

Never mind that Russia is almost entirely blockaded, at war with both Austria and the Ottomans, and has the most debt out of all of us.

^ The Victoria situation had to be covered up with a big bandaged labelled, "She was insane all along!".

Are we really bringing this up again?

Sure, it was stupid. Yes, Pasta made a mistake, yes, everyone acknowledged it, but shit, do we really have to rehash this every day? Like, every single day? Mistakes were made. People admitted to those mistakes. It's over.

How do you think Pasta feels that he made a mistake and people keep bringing it up at every opportunity?
Oh crap. I knew I was forgetting something. I'll remake the thread soon with you in it, bigscreech.
Guess I'll stay up a little longer as well to see how this goes.
